Wayne Head Southern Chicken

I could write this review on each customer service and food, so putting them both together for sure deserves 5 stars. I recently started renting an office to get out of the house and was wondering what places were nearby. Turns out I drive by this place so often and never paid attention but I'm so glad I know about it now! It's next to a gas station so parking could be iffy sometimes but it shouldn't be too much of an issue most days. There wasn't a line when I got there which was nice, but quite a few people waiting. I immediately ordered and got my buzzer. You pay at pickup. They tell you 15 minutes because food is cooked to order and I'm sure that's how long it was. I ordered a cheeseburger w/ fries and the Wayne head special. That comes with 2 sliders, 3 shrimp, 4 wings (in your choice of sauce), and fries. I got the golden sauce for my wings and that was a good choice. I'm not sure if that same sauce automatically goes on the sliders or if it just carried over but either way, it was a great addition. Everything was amazing! The shrimp were well seasoned, wings crispy, fries well seasoned, and the sliders the perfect size. My bf had the cheeseburger. I ordered it without mayo but they put mayo on it so they graciously let me keep it and cooked another one. He very much enjoyed his food too! The customer service was wonderful and they even had gospel music playing which was a nice touch. Needless to say I will be back as soon as possible. It's for sure a good and bad thing that I've found this place and it's not close from my office.

My son highly recommended this place and I wanted to see what the fuss was about...Now , I get it. The food was delicious. I ordered oxtails and my husband had the fried wings. The food was cooked perfectly and seasoned like someone's Grandma was in that kitchen. The young man (owner) was so respectful and proud of his family that also has a food service. I would give it 10 stars if I could. If you are near Gainesville, Fl this is a must try! Oh and we ate so quick...I didn't take pictures

I had the best wings of my life. The wings are so crispy and their sauces are fantastic. The price is so good for the quality and quantity of food. 10/10 would go again.

Wayne Head Special with Golden Sauce was delicious. The shrimp are cooked and seasoned perfectly. Soul Food was served on Thursday, and the Mac and cheese is delicious. Oxtail was cooked right, as well. Very nice staff. Food is made to order, so please have patience.

My favorite restaurant of all time. The chicken is so crispy, fried shrimp is crazy, and all the ingredients are fresh, bought from the store day of. 11/10. Easily best soul food in town.

This place is gas. Would recommend to anyone who wants soul food. Best spot in town!!!!

Food is excellent but they don't wear mask or gloves.They talk over your food and use their fingers on the food saw them separate the shrimp from the fries! Not sanitary at all needs much sanitary improvement! But excellent tasting food! Mask up
