Cute little shop full of all the nutty treats you could think of. We stopped in for some ice cream and decided to get some cookies too. The peach ice cream was delicious. I was honestly a little nervous when I saw that it was orange but it just sounded good. Turns out it was the right choice. Super fresh and natural peach taste and full of real peaches! My son and husband enjoyed all 3 or the cookies they tried (peanut butter, snickerdoodle and oatmeal chocolate chip pecan). Service was very friendly and courteous.

Got the pistachio almond ice cream with oatmeal chocolate chip cookie sandwich! Great!

SERVICE: The service was very good! The ladies working were very friendly and patient. They even made suggestions, which definitely help. FOOD: The cookies were so good; I would eat these plain. And then you taste the ice cream - YUMMY! Put them both together and you get one of the best ice cream sandwiches you've tasted. AMBIANCE: The store is very cool because it not only has nuts and different boxed dessert items, but also little nick knacks. Super cute!

Stopped in last night for dessert. Was amazed by the offerings. They have nuts (both sweet and savory), cookies (both large and mini), as well as ice cream in a cone and cookie sandwich. The staff were attentive and greeted us upon entrance despite the fact that they were close to closing time. My wife and I opted for the ice cream cookie sandwich. She got the snickerdoodle cookies with vanilla ice cream and I got snickerdoodle cookies with coffee ice cream. Both were good (vanilla was better as I found the coffee ice cream really strong and not creamy - more a matter of preference than a commentary on the ice cream) and a fun dessert. They will also cut the sandwich in half for you for easier consumption (definitely a plus). You can also order two different style cookie for your sandwich (one for top and a different flavor for bottom) if desired. They have between 10-12 ice cream flavors and six cookie flavors to pick from for your sandwich. Fun place for dessert. I recommend giving them a try.

10/10 recommend stopping here if you're downtown!They have tons of different nuts, cute touristy items, and amazing cookie ice cream sandwiches! Honestly, the ice cream is better than any of the ice cream shops downtown plus there's almost never a line. The cookies are fresh baked daily.Definitely check this place out!!!

It's always a treat when we take our girls here. The shop is big, bright, and welcoming. When you walk in there's an assortment of nuts, cookies, and gift items to purchase. At the back of the store is an ice cream shop. You can select your favorite cookies and ice cream and they will make you your own custom ice cream sandwich. My girls love it! The ladies that work there are very sweet and helpful. Prices are very reasonable as well.

The place is neat and dog friendly the cookies are homemade and huge! The Icecream wasn't the best but everything else was great I'd definitely recommend!!

Watanut is a cute, family-owned gourmet nuts, cookies and dessert gift shop in the heart of Downtown Fernandina. The store is very spacious, light and bright. I came in for gifts for my family and was greeted by the friendly shop girl. She was super nice and helpful and explained the cookie types and offered me a sample--so delicious! Their cookies are shortbread cookie bites with a variety of nut combinations. Great snacks for on the go or even for a party spread. I bought the Georgia pecan, key lime and cranstachio cookies. They were a hit!

Watanut is a gourmet snack store that sells assorted cookies and nut mixes as well gifts including kitchen towels, apparel (e.g., t-shirts, hats), stationary (e.g., postcards, cards, stickers), candles, Christmas ornaments, and more. At the counter, they were sampling three kinds of snacks - CocoMac and Cranstachio shortbreads, and Roasted Rosemary nut mix. We sampled the Cranstachio Shortbread and they were buttery delicious.
