Vito's Pizza and Restaurant

I heard from my sister who tried this place that it is a must try. I was in the mood for pizza lately( I had pizza yesterday and it was horrible). I still yearn for the pizza I had in NYC when I visited in Oct. I walked into the restaurant which is quaint with Italian decor. It made me feel like I was in Italy. The woman who takes my order has an accent , and she has a conversation with another customer in Italian ! The whole family is Italian, from Palermo to be exact. They were so nice and friendly. Food: I chose the pizza and drink combo. They didn't have a veggie pizza that I usually order. So I opted for the white pizza. OMG is all I can say. It's the best pizza I have had so far in Jax.). Their pizza is a NY style pizza. You better run and get some ! Ciao !

The service and ambiance was great. We enjoyed the Sicilian slice and ground beef lazagna. The bread and garlic knots tasted really good. The lazagna was good too but a bit salty. We are rating 4/5 because the food and environment was good.

Finally gave this place a try and it was tasty. They had some indoor seating and they sell pieces of pizza by the slice. There was a stuffed pizza that looked super yummy, the worker said it is not always made so I am trying to go back to try that. The pepperoni pizza was tasty and the perfect thickness. I will be back!

The boys and I decided to drop into this local Italian restaurant for our weekly pizza. We were waited on right away and sat in a booth near the door. A few other customers were dining in but it wasn't crowded or noisy for a small restaurant. I ordered a large pizza, half sausage and half pepperoni. It was tasty but I wish I would've inquired about the type of sausage as we prefer ground vs sliced. We'll stop in again soon!

Delicious! Their calzones are amazing. Their pizzas are amazing. Sometimes the service has a little disconnect with listening and getting the right drinks or if you ask for Parmesan. But it is always rectified. I would 1000% recommend Vito's!

I am adjusting my first review. Somehow it only shows 4 stars and they deserve 100, but I need to give the 5 this Yelp allows as its top honor! We LOVE Vito's!!Best Lasagne anywhere!! Love the meatballs!! ( Favorite dinner is Lasagne and Meatballs) my hubby loves the array of pasta options and the pizza is homemade and delicious! Tiramisu you Must try !!! Mmmmmmmmmmm! Ordered 2 manicotti entrees. What came with the order was garlic bread and a tossed salad. Now coming from up north where my grandparents moved to from their original home in Sicily on both sides. I grew up eating the best Italian food you could possibly have. Since moving here and relocating I found Olive Garden to be pretty good and Matthew's Italian cuisine the same, but when I tried this restaurant I believe we hit the jackpot! True authentic menu, foo like homemade and reasonable prices. I believe once you try Vitos you will agree.

I hope they will remain here in Jacksonville as long as there's a need to educate the people on what great Pizza & and other delicious original Italian cuisine is. It's always worth the wait and service. This isn't a hole in the wall . It's a Diamond in a City . Enjoy their great meticulously prepared food.

This is by far my favorite Pizza in Jacksonville soo far. Their Grandma slice is bomb and their tomato sauce is very addictive.

so I called to place a to go order, I asked if they had personal Deluxe pizza with no green peppers an no beef, she said, 'okay personal deluxe', then I asked for a meat pizza and she said 'ok Meat lovers'. I Also asked for fresh garlic and extra cheese on both pizzas. When my husband picked it up, it was $53 dollars . I was never told that all of the toppings for each pizza would be $2.00 a piece. Very disappointed, when she said 'ok' made me believe that they offered those specialty pizzas as a personal one. pizzas good but not $53 dollars good, especially for 2 12 inch pizzas
