This restaurant is a hidden gem! We had a reservation and the hostess was quick to seat us. Our waitress was incredible and had a great attitude that immediately brought a smile to my face! Our food was amazing and very fresh, although a little lacking in seasoning for my taste but I just have different tasebuds. Nonetheless, the food was delicious and I was able to finish my chicken piccata in one sitting without feeling sick (as pasta usually makes me a bit tired). The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection however the vegetables were a bit plain tasting in comparison. The restaurant was small but had ample space with dim ambient lighting. The music was a tad louder than the average restaurant so I had to repeat myself a few times but it wasnt that much of an issue. If im ever in town, Id visit violas again :)

Awesome place! I am so happy I was able to try it, food was fresh and good. Prices were good too nothing over the top. Our waitress was great so attentive and sweet. Our appetizers were the mozarella sticks and the caprese salad. The caprese was a win for me aside from the balsamic dressing it had pesto on it! Super good accompanient. Inside it like a house vintage cuteness. I ordered a Chianti and it was delicious, food was delicous give them a try!

I love their pasta options. I get the angel hair with veggies, chicken, garlic, and olive oil. Perfect every time. The service is always great! This is my go to when back home in St. Augustine Beach.

If you are looking for a good Italian meal, look no further. I must have driven past this place a hundred times and never noticed it. What it lacks in curb appeal, it more than makes up for in flavor. The restaurant in small inside and very popular so I definitely recommend making a reservation, or grabbing food to go.I was looking for nearby Italian food that wasn't from a chain restaurant. Luckily, my husband read the reviews on Violas, and we decided to give it a try. It was a Friday night, and they were packed. Good thing they have the hidden parking lot in the back. We didn't have a reservation, which I highly recommend, but the hostess was on it! We were able to get seated but had to sit at the bar. No problems there, my friend, I enjoy a good glass of wine. Sorry fellas, no old fashioned here. They only serve beer and wine.We ordered the toasted raviolis for an appetizer, which were delicious, along with a small pizza to share. The pizza was not so small, it's a good thing we were hungry. For the main meal, I ordered chicken parmesan. I subbed penne for spaghetti and asked for vodka sauce, and it was delicious. The portions are large, and they don't skimp on the sauce. The other members of my party got fish and chips and eggplant rolletini and raved respectively about their meals as well. Sadly, I didn't have room for dessert. No worries, I will be back to right that wrong.

We recently came to Violas off of a Social Media recommendation while in town. Everyone was wonderful from the front of house staff to our server! They were kind and attentive. The food was delicious, better than our expectations! The overall environment was simple and elegant, definitely felt like a little family joint! We were greeted upon arrival and when leaving, you felt the personal touch and care! It was a great way to begin the New Year!

Best dinner we had in St Augustine! Wonderful & helpful service, every bite was perfection and great wine to go with it. Make sure you make a reservation beforehand, as otherwise it will be difficult to get in. Cozy atmosphere

Our new favorite restaurant in St Augustine. We liked it so much that we went twice during our short trip. Decided to try it on a busy Saturday night and managed to get a reservation. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Debra (owner and manager) as if we were the most important people. The atmosphere and ambience are lovely and there are tons of menu selections. We had bruschetta, pasta vongole, veal marsala and creme Brule. All were delicious both times. Wanted to try something else but our food was so delicious the first time, we got the same thing again. Our server, Jenna, was sweet and we never had to ask for anything. Truly a terrific restaurant that I wish was closer to my home in the north!

I went to our local italian restaurant Viola's. I arrived at 4:45pm.I was asked if I had a reservation. Kind of threw me for a loop, when I arrived this early. After mixed messages from the hostess staff, I was told that our party of 3 could not be seated because we did not have a reservation. I was offered potential seating at the bar of which I did not want. The hostess explained that she had 11 reservations for the evening. I replied, "Are you turning us away?" She said, "Essentially, in a way, yes." Viola's website does not indicate that reservations are in fact required. We will not ever be back to Viola's and went on to Romano's where we were treated as welcome patrons and had a much better meal. Thank you.
