Rice is fresh, service is okay but you have to ask for help. Clean enough for a Viet shop.

A large 32 oz. container of healthy, spicy homemade Kimchi for only $4. Authentic, flavorful & affordable.Try the handmade traditional foods prepared by little Vietnamese ladies in the back fresh & available daily. And pick up a large bag of bean sprouts and a finger of fresh ginger root. Last time, I paid just $1.80 for both. Can you see why I love it here? The owners are so pleasant and prices are good. They also run (& own) the Vietnamese restaurant (Saigon Times) next door that I adore and frequent (see my other review). Overall, this 5-Star favorite is family-owned and carries just the right offerings of spices, condiments, noodles, fresh seasonal vegetables, frozen seafood & meats, pickled ingredients, my favorite Asian snacks, rices, local Asian & exotic fruits, sauces & pastes, flours, ice creams, teas, drinks, chips, gift items, Kiwi knives, kitchenware, cooking utensils, ready-to-eat desserts & pastries, canned and bottled fruits & veggies, Japanese rice cookers, and so much more.I will continue to come here on a weekly basis. Go check it out.

I have been going here since 2003. This place was well-known to all the Asian people back then. Perhaps, this was the ONLY Asian market. Now that the new generation rises, many Asian markets are opened rapidly. The owner at this place is very kind, honest, friendly, and helpful! She is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. The prices are relatively cheap and affordable. The place looks dull on the outside, but it's like a paradise on the inside. They have fresh fruits, vegetables, desserts and bread, and other produce especially on Sunday. The ladies in the back are very nice. They are constantly making rice crepes, rice noodles, and other goodies! If you are buying something in bulk, make sure you order ahead. Whenever I have a party, I usually buy about 20 lbs of the rice crepes. Overall, this place is not just like any modern Asian market. Instead, it is very traditional and authentic. You won't get ripped off. Give this place a try and you'll be satisfied.

This store looks somewhat small from the outside but is bigger once you get inside. They carry various sauces, noodles, fish, and other ingredients you would need to cook Oriental dishes. I even saw some Jufran Banana sauce. They don't have a bakery, but they do sell some buns and moon cakes. I got a moon cake (with mixed nuts and fruit) for $2.50 and a rice cake for $2. Unfortunately, they were not too good. Rice cake was way too sweet and I don't know what was up with the dough, it was kind of powdery. The moon cake was much better in texture and substance, but I guess moon cake just isn't my thing. (Um..God, are you sure I'm really Asian?)Ready to cook? This store is located in the little Saigon area at I-10 and Cassat.

Authentic Vietnamese grocery and gift store. Right off of I10 in a strip mall with various Asian stores and restaurants. Perfect one stop shopping location. Excellent customer service. Recently we had to rent trays and purchase some specialty items for a Vietnamese engagement ceremony. Prior to someone recommending this store, I had searched all over town for items that I could have found in this one place. Not only did this store have all the items I needed, but they also shared with great patience recommendations and advice. They were able to rent us the trays with lids and traditional cloth covers, and threw in some decorations and shared the best ways to fill and present the trays. The store itself has so many items such as teas, candies, pastries and plenty of fresh and frozen items too. I had to ask what many things were and again, I was super impressed with the helpfulness of the employees.

Wonderful discovery, right next to authentic Cambodian and Thai restaurant that's five stars with tiny prices. The couple who run this family restaurant are as nice as can be. Chi and Tuong have a good assortment of staples and fresh exotic fruits in season.

Smaller store. Dry goods. Some veggies but limited. No tropical fruits. If you want those types of food, I recommend going to another grocery store.

You can order fresh Banh Cuon here on the weekend (Fri-Sun). Comes with meat stuffing or plain. A couple of old ladies make them on the premise. I have placed order by phone and picked them up next day. Costs around $4-5 a pound. You do have to mix your own fish sauce though.
