Vevetas Tapas is definitely a spot that I would go to for Happy Hour as the specials are wonderful! We were seated in the bar area and our waitress was the bartender as well. She was amazing.We got there right before Happy Hour ended and ordered the collard green dip and a couple of drinks. The dip was amazing, served with round tortilla chips from a bag (this would be my only complaint) as I vaguely remember pink salt serving it with tostones before. The drink menu is extensive and I will be back to try more of that menu lol! I ordered the chickpea curry as my main dish with a side of jalapeño cornbread and the flavors were definitely there. The curry was full of veggies and adding the cornbread into the dish enhanced the flavors that were there!

I had the opportunity to attend a foodie Meetup at Vevetas Tapas with a group of 12 people. We made reservations for 4 p.m. on a Saturday, and we were seated on the left side of the restaurant across from the bar after a short wait. I was excited to try the food at VT, having enjoyed Pink Salt in the past.My first dish was the spicy lobster mac n cheese, which was tasty but a bit small for the price. The presentation was nice, with melted cheese oozing over the side, but there was minimal lobster, and it lacked flavor. I had to request salt and pepper since there was none on the table, and the waiter brought pink salt in a little dish and informed us that pepper was unavailable.Next, I tried the brisket tacos, which were not tender and required a lot of chewing. Unfortunately, I was not alone in my disappointment, as a few others in my party also ordered the same dish and did not enjoy it. My final dish was the charred brussels sprouts in a sauce, which were delicious and the best item of the night. The portion size was generous, and I shared it with the table.Overall, the food needs improvement, and many of us ordered several dishes but were still hungry when we left. While the venue was cute and spacious, the menu needs to be adjusted. We were also disappointed that the chef/owner walked past our table a few times without greeting us, especially since we were one of the largest groups there. As a new business, this would have made a positive impact on our impression of the restaurant. While I may not return to VT, I know I can receive better food from Pink Salt.

Jerk Salmon was great with good flavor and not too spicy. They were out of asparagus but served Brussel sprouts instead which are my favorite. Drinks were also good! As a note - the original Pink Salt is closed so the menu is now located at this location.

Ok I go here often and was really disappointed tonight! I ordered my usual jumbo prawns in red curry coconut sauce and got 6 small shrimp with barely no curry sauce and mostly rice. Where is my curry???? I won't order to go if I return.

My husband and I arrived excited to try the menu. We were seated in a side alcove which was nicely decorated but poorly lighted. The service staff were attentive. We were there during happy hour and ordered the chicken jerk appetizer and beer. The jerk chicken tasted nice. While we were hoping for a quiet meal, this was not to be since there was a DJ and white private party happening close by.There was a $55 special of the roasted whole snapper with jasmine rice and cabbage that I ordered and my husband had the jerk salmon. When they arrived the snapper was sitting in a soup-like sauce with vegetables. It lacked any sign of a Caribbean flavor. My husband's salmon was overcooked with no real sign of a jerk seasoning. The menu said the salmon would be accompanied by asparagus but on the food's arrival, the staff said they were out with no offer for an alternative at that time.The bill came with a 15% service charge and a note that if you used your credit card an additional fee would be rendered. The service staff made no note of this at the time of bill presentation. We have no plans to return again.

Out for date night and we tried Vevetas by Pink Salt. Seating and ambiance was decent (replace the burnt out light above the bar please). Our waitress was prompt and her service was good. Reviewing the menu many entrees were listed as MP (market price). I expected this to be a great meal. The drinks from the bar were good, they have a rum theme there. Unfortunately the food/kitchen ruined their opportunity for repeat business. The brisket taco appetizer seemed to have sat in the window for a while because the flour tortillas were stale/hard along the edges. My date had the chicken curry dish. It had what was just about a leg quarter thrown in a bowl the end of the leg was broken off and there were bone chips all in the dish. Totally unacceptable. Another thing I found odd, they added a gratuity for a party of two, and they charged a 7% up fee for using a credit card..... Absolutely pathetic way to treat customers.

Wonderful spicy dishes of jerk chicken and fried Lobster & shrimp. Some may find that these mainstream are too spicy, as we did. But very different and exotic. Wonderful service as well.

Best meal I have had in a long time. From the jerk ahi (outstanding) to the best lamb chops I've ever had. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the coconut curry shrimp. If you're in the area this is a must!

Noel, our server was very accommodating and knowledgeable in our order selections from the menu. The service was prompt and timely. I had the Jerk Chicken and my wife had the Curry Rice and Shrimp. I also had the Curry Jerk Chip appetizer. Both meals and appetizer agreed with our palates and were deliciously prepared. It was a very positive Friday night experience for my wife and I. Thanks to Noel for making this a pleasant dining experience. We plan on returning for future dining engagements.
