Not super big but lots to do in the fenced in park area. Very unique structures, a small spray area and lots to climb on. When you are done in the play areaTake a stroll around the lake. Parking can be tricky so be patient.

Verona Park is more a neighborhood type destination and a park that I would recommend for you to head to if you are new to the town. There is not much here. It is narrow and while it is in nice area of green that I am sure is welcomed by its neighborhood, there's not much to do here.

A small narrow park that's great for walking the dog, going for a stroll, or letting the kids play. It's tucked into a long strip that makes it unique. I really enjoyed walking to this park daily to get some exercise when I lived in the area. It features a proportionally large open lawn, with a fair sized playground that is fenced. Admittedly this is an average park and not worth a long drive to visit, but is a great commodity for those living in the area. A little slice of peace between San Jose Blvd and St Augustine Rd.Unfortunately, I have noticed teenagers occasionally playing with airsoft guns in the park. I'm not aware of any altercations from it, but just a heads up.

It's the fifth largest park in the Essex County park system at 54 acres. The landscape is diversified with a good sized lake in the center of the property formed by the damming of the Pechman river. The lake is stocked and someone is always fishing. The landscape is enhanced by Tutor style buildings on the property and classical pedestrian bridges which span the lake. A boathouse sits on the lake. You can rent paddle boats, some are swan boats for $15 (1/2 hr.) or $20 (1hr.).There are clean restrooms in and nearby the boathouse as well as a snack shack (burgers, shakes etc.). The park is well maintained. Surrounding the lake is a wide paved path. People jog, walk their leashed dogs, roller blade, sit on numerous benches and stop to train on a 1.2 mile fitness course. It's particularly nice in the spring and fall with the old blossoming willow and cherry trees that line the lake and Fall colors in the Fall. Kids will love the park because they have a relatively new pre-school and older children playground. There are tennis courts which are frequently unused and Booce Ball courts under the shade of old oak trees. It's hard to find fault with this park but if I had to nit-pick it would be the geese and somewhat limited parking. There is a parking area inside the park and an overflow parking area on the streets which are adjacent to the park. The park is free to all.

Clean, but not much there. There isn't a waterfall or a rock wall, like someone posted previously. The park has 2 swings.

A nice green space in the middle of the neighborhood. There's lots of room to run around, and a well-kept playground set with slides and swings. The old majestic trees make it scenic enough for pictures.

Great park however they need to pressure wash the play set because some jerks have spray painted all over it! But an adorable shady park great for picnics. They also have yoga on Wednesday and Thursday's!
