Was our place to go unfortunately they have not posted on here that they are close due a fire so we drove a ways to find them closed hopefully they will reopen with the dame great food and same great staff and service

Absolutely amazing little gem! The service was amazing, friendly and extremely prompt and knowledgeable. The food came out fast and fresh. The grilled chicken was cooked to perfection as well as the shrimp platter. Good vibes, outdoor seating on the beach.

Always using Yelp when I travel, and once again rewarded with a fine experience! Great young crew here, very attentive and taking care of business. Beer selection was very good, hard to choose food, menu was broad and enticing! The Grouper tacos were excellent. Bonus to catch Frankie B live...Go here!

Went for an early supper with some girlfriends. This was the first time I've been to turtle shack in the evening. It was packed, but it was cozy and friendly. The food was delicious. A friend who was vegan and gluten-free ordered a Portabella mushroom burger without the bun and they let her substitute the sides so all of her dietary restrictions. That was very nice. They had a nice assortment of fish dishes, including triggerfish, which is kind of rare to find on the menu . Delicious jerk chicken tacos. Yep, I ordered chicken even though it's a seafood restaurant. I was very happy with my choice for a small up charge. We were allowed to swap out our regular sides for plantains and they were fabulous! I would recommend this place. I hope they keep plantains on the menu because they cooked them to perfection!

I wasn't a fan of the fish and chips because the batter was dry. The soup was pretty good and flavorful; however, the chicken Philly was dry and didn't have too much flavor. I really enjoyed the view here though, it's right across from the beach and a nice spot for lunch.

Locals absolutely love this place. It's a great place, decent food, good service, and a lively atmosphere. We've been here several times when passing through. We'll be back.

The prime time burger was AMAZING! Service was great. Very beachy atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Two Sundays ago in the early afternoon and the place is packed. This isn't surprising since it's a beautiful day and everyone was out and about. We picked coming here since the walk/drive from our rental was beyond close.Let's cut right to the chase:Chips and Salsa - Never got it. C & S was ordered right after we sat down and then we inquired again when the entrees came and out and our server (we'll call him Jr.) said he forgot about it but that he would take care of it. Thankfully we never got billed for it, but even after asking twice, we still never got it.Clam Chowder - Everything about it was fantastic as you would expect it to be at a seafood centric place on the ocean.Prime Time Burger - Not good at all. The burgers come in two sizes and the smaller one is fairly hefty. I can't imagine the larger size. It must look like a Curling Stone. The issue is that the thing was overly messy. The bottom bun was already soaked through and falling apart by the time the plate hit the table and the aftertaste was...oily. The accompanying fries were lukewarm at best. Shrimp with Cilantro Lime Linguini - Excellent flavor on this one. The only issue was that it comes with too much of the cream sauce. Everything on the plate was swimming and Jr. didn't know that you could substitute the chicken the dish comes with for shrimp per the menu.Ahi Tuna Tacos - Probably the best thing that was rendered. Perfect look, texture and flavor on the tuna.Overall, I guess a bit of this is on us for ordering the "wrong things" and as I mentioned prior, the restaurant was beyond busy. But with that said, our server seemed very green like he didn't have a clue and the food was all over the place from very good to why did this leave the kitchen.I get it. We all have our off days and for Turtle Shack, the day we visited was just that, an off day. If in town again though, it was good enough for a second try.

Closed. Had a fire. Heard they may open in another location. They had great burgers and prime rib nite.
