Super great quality fish for the price! Definitely the best deal ayce sushi in Jacksonville! LOVED the salmon taretare so much!! The only downside to the sushi is I did get one tiny bone in my salmon sashimi. My girlfriend unfortunate got more :(The tempura here is really good and I loved the shrimp shumai here! Super crispy and fresh!! Everything here was impressive quality for the price. I was bummed they didn't have any desserts on the ayce menu. Service was good, we came at a slower time and the staff were attentive. It is a nice place and feels upscale!

Eehhh a bit of a toss up on our first visit ! Quality fish yet i bit down into several fish bones. During an ayce session that's quite the obstacle. Ordering is fast though! We went on a Monday night and it wasn't super busy. It's a pretty cool spot!Sashimi- we ordered salmon, yellowtail, and tuna. You can guess our favorite. And usually i don't love tuna sashimi but this was great! No metallic flavor in sight. Yellowtail was great but i love it thinner sliced.Yellowtail jalapeño- the best way to enjoy yellowtail. Wow these were some spicy slices though! Shumai- I tried one of course. Great crunch on the outside and the filling is quite nice! I let everyone else enjoy it. Salmon tartare- More of just poke style cubes but wow i LOVED this! They're tossed in a chili oil and topped with such toasty crunchy sesame seeds. Great avocado texture. I could eat so much of these if i was stronger at heat! But this was a top favorite. We ordered a few of these at the table lol.Krab rangoons- I usually stick to sashimi in a ayce setting but i heard some honorable mentions of these in groups. Nothing special honestly. Just a good rangoon. Pretty average! It gets the job done.Clear soup- we arrived in the evening and i got maybe the last scoop of soup. Grainy but it has a good flavor. Love the tender mushrooms they're one of my favorite parts of clear soup! I like to finish off a meal with a nice hot cup. Couldn't drink it all due to the grit.Hibachi steak- good sauce! nice texture! I would recommend this for the non fish lovers. I'm interested in trying more of their hibachi options.Tempura vegetables- You unfortunately can't choose what you want. Im a huge sweet potato lover and that's all i wanted. Was able to pawn off most of the other veggies to the table. Tender with a great crunch on the outside! I would love to come back and give this place another try as it's just down the road. I just wish they had more of a discerning eye for fish bones as that is the worst thing to bite into.

I got delivery yesterday from a place my son picked out, after we realized our usual place was closed on Wednesdays. And they turned out to be kind of a random surprise. We got a few BOGO dynamite rolls, crab Rangoon, a poke bowl, a spicy tuna roll, and a Florida roll. The cooked rolls were nicely done and crunchy. The poke bowl was very generous, with three proteins, as a 16.95 bowl should be. The only downside of the bowl was asking for brown rice. It was a bit hard and undercooked. I usually go with lettuce or regular rice, so this wouldn't keep me from ordering again. The real star was the crab Rangoon. My son didn't remember ever trying it and asked about ordering it. I shrugged, having had them many times over the years. "It's really just a fried wonton stuffed with cream cheese. I'm not sure if you'll like it." And I didn't really expect much. But it surprised me. The filling wasn't just a big gob of plain cream cheese. It had some real flavor. Maybe even some crab meat. More of a sauce than a "gob." And it was actually very tasty.I would definitely order from them again or even go in person.

Went for the all you can eat on a Sunday. There were a decent number of people inside, maybe about three or four tables full. We didn't have to wait very long to get sat, and we placed our order fairly quickly. My only real complaint about the process is the length of time it takes to order something, I liked how Fuji sushi has a little piece of paper where you could just write down what you want and they come and pick it up. Having to wait for the server took way longer, and it was a lot of pressure to order it on the spot.As far as the food went, it was pretty good, better than most sushi places in the area. I had the caterpillar roll, which was pretty decent. I don't like how they give you so many pieces on a roll, though, I feel like this causes people to not order Different items and only be able to really order one or two whole rolls. I would rather the pieces be like four so I could sample multiple sushi rolls.Overall, a pleasant experience, left full and wasn't super overpriced

I had a friend visiting from out of town so we decided to stop by Tsunami for lunch since it's close by. It was on a Sunday afternoon but the restaurant was not busy at all. Maybe 2 other tables so it looked pretty empty. The decor is modern with a mix of oriental taste but the fake flowers are tacky, in my opinion. The waitress was not friendly at all, she forgot a lot of our requests and acted like we were bothering her when I flagged her down. Onto the foods: Dynamite roll tasted just like any other ones I had, nothing special. Fried salted pepper fish lack of flavors, too much batter. Beef pad Thai was way too sweet & saucy, although the beef is tender and soft. Overall experience is not so great, prices are a bit high for the location. So I will not be back on the weekend but possibly on weekdays for their AYCE sushi option.

Went on a Sunday evening after much debate on where to go. Tsunami had decent reviews so where we are. The food was good and prepared fresh which is always a plus. But some of the portions are way to big. Wish they asked how many pieces like with the sashimi. Vibe was real chill and laid back. The server was nice and attentive.

Food was great, but layout was odd. They had to-go order screens in front then the register counter and also you could sit down to eat. I wasn't sure if this was sushi sit down or just a take out joint. The service was lackluster. Having advertised this place as all you can eat sushi on top of everything, it can be challenging for servers to be attentive. I had to leave my seat a few times to get a server's attention. I also didn't like that having advertised it as all you can eat you are not allowed to pack some of the left over food. I am willing to pay the extra amount of the food left over to not waste food. Not sure if I will go back.

This place used to be The Red Bowl, and we noticed they still have our favorites which are the Chicken Hibachi and Red Curry. I also saw some familiar staff and crew. Our order came out fast and still tasted delicious as ever. The main difference is the plating, very nice food presentation and the curry serving was HUGE! Of course we were happy! The interior is definitely an upgrade, and the tables and booths are aplenty. Their menu offers a variety of Japanese, Chinese and Thai dishes. They offer AYCE and I heard they were worth it, might try it in our next visit.

Was so excited to have Tsunami joining the neighborhood since we don't have an all you can eat Sushi or Hibachi near use and they are one of my favorites to go to with friends. We came in for lunch on a Saturday around 12:00PM and had no problem getting a table. They had the all you can eat menu at the table already but also brought out the regular menu too. I did think the all you can eat menu was a little high at $28.95 and there didn't seem to be a price different for lunch vs dinner. Maybe it changes during the week but not on the weekends. I will say this place is much nicer now inside then when I was Red Bowl. I do think they carried over a lot from Red Bowl though because the regulars menu as a lot of the same things Red Bowl had. Same names and everything. After looking over the all you can eat menu I did notice they really have a lot of sushi options. Probably about 45-50 different roll options as well as Sashimi and Nigiri. I did take me a little while as to what to put in for my fried order because all the sushi rolls come with 8 pieces and I don't want to order too much. This is why I suggest coming with friends so you can try multiple rolls and feel safer about waste. My first order was for sure on the bigger side. I started with Steamed Gyoza, Krab Rangoon, Steak and Shrimp Hibachi, a piece of White Tuna and Tuna Nigiri then the King Kai and the Yummy Tuna Roll. So my food started to come out most of which was brought out by a robot (we loved that). The appetizers where good but the real winners were the Sushi Rolls and the Hibachi. Honestly the Hibachi caught me the most off guard. It was very very good. The Steak and Shrimp were perfectly cooked and not tough at all. Best all you can eat Hibachi I have ever had. Even had to order another round of both. Both also come with 5 pieces. The both the King Kai and the Yummy Tuna Rolls were also very good and exactly what I expected them to be. For my next round beside the second order of the Steak and Shrimp were the Tempera Shrimp and a piece of both Tuna and White Tuna Sashimi. The Sashimi were nice be pieces too. Tsunami was very good but for sure has a few things to work on. Our waitress didn't come and check on us as much as I would of liked and did take a bit at times to get her attention. I also wish they had more sauces like Shrimp Sauce and sauce dishes at the table ready when you sit down too but I'm sure they will improve since we came on their second week of being open. We will for sure be coming back.

Hubby and I tried out Tsunami Sushi for their AYCE last night and we were pleasantly surprised. For the price point, the large selections, quality and taste of the food, I am a fan of this new restaurant. We had a wide variety of sashimi, sushi, and rolls: Yellowtail jalapeño appey, Crazy Yellowtail Roll (hands down my fav), Crazy Tuna Roll, Naruto Roll, Double Crunchy Roll, Hway 17 Roll, several rounds of yellowtail, smoked salmon, scallop sashimi, and eel & tamale sushi. We also tried a combo steak & shrimp hibachi.A few notes:- Someone mentioned, the rolls are full sized (6-8 pieces). However, I am happy that the rice to fish ratio is good so you won't feel that you are over-stuffed with rice.- The fried roll (Hway 17) is thickly battered and crunchy. That one surprised us, though tasted pretty good, I personally wouldn't order it again. But if you like it crunchy and heavier battered, this one is for you.- Steak & shrimp hibachi was surprisingly tasty and nicely seasoned & cooked (steak tender and shrimp not over cooked).- I wish they served jasmin/hot tea, which is my beverage of choice when having sushi. Again, another personal preference.- Crazy yellowtail roll was so tasty we ordered it twice. For trying out a new restaurant where our intention is to order as many variety of items as possible, this is saying something....
