Came here on Valentine's Day for lunch. There wasn't anyone there since they had just opened. I wanted to eat before getting my tattoo down the street. I ordered a miso soup, with Yellowtail nigiri and a yum yum roll. I just took the spicy sauce off. The person I went with ordered crab Rangoon and the Philly cheese steak egg roll. Food was brought out quickly. It just took a moment to get the check since both people were on the phone taking orders. The restaurant itself is very nice. It's in the Publix plaza. I had always seen the location when passing by, I just never had a chance to go until now. I would definitely go back. The only change I would make is having more raw rolls and less deep fried/tempura rolls. All in all, everything tasted great. The restroom was also clean when I went. I also enjoyed the decor on the wall too. Very traditional.

I cannot believe that I didn't know about this unassuming AMAZING little place until this evening! The inside can best be described as cozy and quaint, the staff is super friendly and attentive, and the portions are HUGE! The Agedashi Tofu is fried extra crunchy on the outside whilst perfectly soft and smooth inside, the veggie combo roll is exquisitely crunchy and cooling, and the Tofu Hibachi is to die for!Whenever I'm on Normandy Blvd from now on and want Japanese food I will come here..

The service is slow and they gave my food to the wrong person and asked if I would take it after they had already left the restaurant with it. I was made to wait an extra 30 minutes for my food. When asked if I could be offered anything for the inconvenience I was told no that the manager wasn't there and that they needed them.

The sushi rolls tasted great and were flavorful and crunchy. They were made kind of sloppy though and were falling apart easily. I got the steak teriyaki medium rare but it was cooked well done. The vegetables that came with my meal just weren't that good. I probably won't come back.

If u love sushi for the experience, then this is probably not going to be your Friday night hang out spot. But if you want arguably the best sushi,at its price point, in all of Jacksonville then Tokyo Sushi is absolutely the place u want to go. Side note they sell very large bowls of clear soup if you are like me and can never get enough.

I had the dynamite sushi roll and the spicy tuna roll. The dynamite sushi roll was so good everything about it was great I also had the cheese wontons I eat those so fast I couldn't even get a picture, great choice. The spicy tuna roll did not taste as fresh. The location is clean they constantly clean and wipe down.

Normally good service and good food. However today I ordered take out. Ask for my cold rolls to not be packed with hot food. Upon my arrival the cold rolls were in middle of hot things top and bottom. So I asked them to remake them. Then he goes and sits them down for a few min and repackage them as they not still warm but lied saying he re made them. Which we both knew was a lie. We exchanged a few words as I told him those are the same ones he now trying to say they are not hot as he tried to cool them off some how. He finally left them sitting on counter going to get fresh ones. I don't know why they want to ruin a repeated customer but it was enough to sit them out for a while. Do things good to repeat customers.

If you ever wonder why the service is so bad it's because the owner doesn't allow his servers to keep their cash tips which is illegal . He pays them 13 an hour. 17 if he really likes you . I was was one of the servers he liked till he found out I was keeping the tips giving me to me in my hand. So he completely ghosted me and said I never worked their. One of the OG servers doesn't wash their hands and will make your miso soup with their bare unwashed hands. Don't support this place obento on 103rd is better.

The old saying trying to save a penny just to loose a dollar, makes no cents. Poor quality of fish, lend very heavy on the imitation crab meat. The portions size can be swallowed by a small goldfish.This establishment do not support first responders or military, when ask if they have a discount. To sum of my poor experience paid way to much for low quality fish products. Some of the staff must have night jobs a few, of them was sleeping at the back booth. on a positive note the tea was wet.
