Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar

This place has really amped up since it started!! The new ownership and management is amazing!! Chris and Jessie are both amazing chefs!! We took my daughter for her birthday and it is a dinner she will never forget! From the servers to the chefs it is just an above and beyond experience!! Thank you Tokyo Japanese steakhouse for a wonderful experience and wonderful chefs and wonderful food, Everything was cooked to perfection and the restaurant is clean and spacious and beautiful!! Oh yeah, Jessie even played the ukulele for us it was a show with a show and it was epic!! Thank you so much!! If you make it before 6pm for the awesome happy hour specials, it's even more of a win!! 2 for $12 sushi rolls $8 specialty drinks oh and the sake is huge and you won't be disappointed!! Quality, passion, service, ambiance and price, you can't get any better than this place!! I would tell you ask for Jessie's hibachi table and ukulele show experience...but I don't want him to not be available when we go back!! Thank you for amazing hospitality and such a great night to remember!!

Amazing, me and my family had a wonderful time, the food was perfect, the food was fresh and the service was incredible. The server Jessy was an incredible serviced, he was fun, outgoing and made us have a blast. The price was good and music was great as well. I truly recommend everyone to go.

We had a wonderful time at Tokyo! We went for lunch on a Sunday so it's wasn't too busy. The staff were attentive, efficient, and really fun! Our hibachi chef was spectacular and did a great job cooking our food too many special requests, and put on a great show while interacting with each guest. We had so much fun and our food tasted great!

My second time here the food is excellent, the service is fantastic and the ambiance of the place is just wonderful! If you like good, a good show and verity of great items to choose from than you will really appreciate what they have to offer! It's a must try!!

Food was great. Service was marginal. More of a hibachi place than a sushi bar. The crab salad and lobster roll were great. Took am extended period to find my server after that.

Key west roll was amazing. I understand the price due to the lobster. Was hoping for the lobster to be broiled and not fried. But I again understand (it's easier if it's fried). But, Never saw fresh lobster in the lobby, so who knows. It was very tender. Service was outstanding at bar side. Thank u

Disappointing... we arrived at 7pm on a Tuesday and when we didn't have a reservations were told we'd have to wait 20 minutes for a table. Not a huge deal - but there were only 3 tables occupied. Admittedly, they have only recently taken over what was Sakura and did some minor renovating. The bench covering the former fountain in then lobby is decorated with couch cushions that are just gross... they need to be tossed and replaced with a solid surface that can be cleaned properly. When we were seated the plates were greasy and the menus were soaked... service was slow but he was trying. The sushi my son and I shared was pretty good the Crab Rangoon's my wife and daughter shared were okay. Soup was only lukewarm but the salad was good. Hibachi was good, the portions were sizable - but they forgot to serve my daughter noodles and then again with the vegetables. When I pointed it out, he scraped some together to giver her a small portion. I gave her some of mine - so she had more than enough - but there were only 7 people at the table (my 4 and another party of 2 adults and a child). Once is an oversight - but twice...really? Honestly, don't think I'll be back...

New management and great ideas! I'm stumped by the inconsistent reviews, but here's our experience. Perfect place for sushi with a creative twist! Upon entering the dining area, you're greeted with the sushi bar and the wine & spirits bar. Table dining in this area and good sized hibachi area in back. Vibe is lively with patrons enjoying the Friday night specials (tonight was $5 bourbon night). Staff is friendly, prompt, and professional. We started with Vegetable Tempura and the crispy batter reminded me of beer battered veggies. Slight inconsistency on the fry but satisfying all the same. Our mains were Chirashi and assorted rolls. The Chirashi had a delightfully creative twist of the usual sashimi over rice then topped with unagi, eel sauce, and nori. It was absolutely amazing! Hats off to their very talented sushi chef, AJ!! The rolls of Salmon Skin, Salmon, and Yellowtail were expertly created and the Unagi nigiri was a flavor bomb. Chef AJ brought us a sample of his newest creation, the AJ roll which included salmon with a smoky torched topping. Another flavor bomb and this will be in our order upon our next visit!All in all, our entire experience was wonderful from the lively vibe of patrons socializing around the bar enjoying their drinks, to the mouth watering sushi with Chef AJ's creative twists! This is a great place to go if you want Asian fusion with a local bar atmosphere.

So much fun! Love hibachi! This place didn't disappoint! Chef was entertaining and made us laugh! Excellent service from the minute we walked in the door! Our waitress Bailey was fantastic! Even the gentleman at the check in was very nice! Highly recommend. Huge portions! Lots of left overs! We will be back!

Had a 6:00 reservation, was seated promptly but didn't see a waitress for over 20 minutes. When our drinks hadn't shown up 25 minutes later and our orders hadn't been taken, asked to speak with a manager. Apparently, they don't have one. Finally had our orders taken over an hour after we sat down. Our chef was very friendly and mostly turned the night around. Steak, shrimp, and scallops were excellent. Do were the fried rice and fried noodles. Chicken was very poor quality and not recommended.
