Indian food done like a Moe's, or Chipotle. You pick your base - bowl, burrito Naan taco, or salad. Then rice, meat, curry, beans, and toppings. I got the Naan taco with each of the meats - goat, chicken, steak. I got white rice, the smokey curry, and black beans as my base. Each of the meats were so good. Not dried out like can happen when it sits. When we asked questions he was patient with the answers and explained what things were. It was quiet and music played softly in the background. The restaurant was clean, with a full opened to it showing you to see everything.

Think, the Chipotle of Indian food. Pick a base, a meat, a curry and all the toppings you want. I had a goat curry bowl with white rice. Most Indian curry has a bit of spice to it and this is no exception. Very manageable though. The only negative thing I will say about it is that you order at the counter, take your did with you, clear your own table. Not only did they ask for a tip when we paid(auto minus 1 star) but the default was 22 percent and we had to change it. I tip well at full service restaurants, but this tipping for making my food gets under my skin. Pay your people!! The food was to good too take away another start though.

Found another great spot for a pre-movie meal! We've been to their other locations, so we knew exactly what we wanted. As a fast food restaurant, ordering is always quick and easy. The ambiance is casual, and the service is always top-notch. On our first visit, we tried the Goat Biryani -- it was absolutely delicious and very filling. We also sampled their garlic naan, which was flavorful and a perfect complement. On our second visit, I went with the build-your-own option, choosing chicken as my protein and Tikka Masala as my base. While I would have liked a bit more chicken, the generous portions of vegetables and sides definitely made up for it.Overall, a great experience with tasty food -- perfect for a pre-movie meal!

What a concept - think a fusion of Indian flavor fused with some Mexican dishes. That is the basis of Tikka and Tacos, Let's get some of the particulars out-of-the-way. First, there's plenty of parking common in fact we found a parking place near the door. Second it's a counter servic restaurant, so you order at the counter and go down the line like you would see at Subway, Moe's or Kava. So you have all sorts of protein choices, vegetable choices and six main sauces, so every time you go you can have fun, trying a different sauce or a different combinations, so it'll be like going to a completely new restaurant.OK now the Mexican part, you can get all the bowls as a burrito has a taco. I think they even have a Mexican style pizza. What you really want to hear about is the FOOD:SaucesBiryani - sweet, slight kick, delicious.Tikki - Savory with a like more kick.(There are other sauces, but these are the ones we tried.)Rice:Brown - my choice.White- my wife's choice.Bead:Plain - my wife.Garlic:- me (yes, we are very different).Proteins:Paneer - delightful, my favorite.Chicken - nicely seasoned.Goat - the number o e protein worldwide, you should try it, they fo it well.Beef - I know they have it, but we did not try it.Add ons:Onions and peppers - yes pleaseJalapeños - no thank you.Tamarind sauce - WOW, that is good.Sour cream - yes, yes, yesExtra spice - no buenoI thought our food was fabulous, very fresh however, I'm not big on spice and everything they had was very spicy. I figured next time I will order the same bowl but without any sauce and just put Tamarine, which is a combination of Tamarine and dates, on mine. It's meant to be, an extra sauce, but I would like to try to use it as a main sauce so I don't breathe fire while I'm there. As I said, really fresh ingredients. Definitely going back again.

After a busy morning of shopping at St. John's Town Center, we were in the mood for something "different" for lunch. A quick Yelp search revealed Tikka Bowls and tacos just a few minutes away. It's a quick service place where you order at the counter and then take the food to your table. The resto was clean and smelled wonderfully of Indian spice. We ordered a chicken tikka curry bowl, made with spiced white rice, chopped chicken, and chose to top it with the smoked curry sauce, Chana masala, and tamarind sauce, and the three taco special, prepared on warm naan. Three meat options were available; goat, beef and chicken. It was easy enough to choose one of each. Three sauces were offered; we chose one of each as well. Customized with Mango Pico (pico de gallo with chopped mango), shredded mozzarella cheese, sour cream, fajita veggies, and more of that wonderful tamarind sauce. Grabbed a side of pani puri, and some fountain drinks. The curry bowl was a large portion; big enough so that we didn't finish it. The rice was fluffy (I hate it when the rice is a mushy mess), there was a good proportion of chicken to rice, and the toppings were solid. The tacos were great; the naan was a good way to serve them. If, anything, there was TOO much filling to naan ratio; I had to grab a spoon to scoop off all of the filling that hit the plate as I was eating them. The goat was the standout; tender, unctuous and so delish! The chicken and beef were good choices as well, but the goat was the bomb. The pani puri was a large order; 8 of the semolina shells, served with spiced potatoes, cilantro water and tamarind chutney. My only complaint was that the potato filling was cool; it would have been better a bit warmer. The bill for this feast (including soft drinks) was $35. Highly recommended for an Indian-ish meal in Jacksonville!

A cool fusion of Indian and Mexican, this place really delivers on quality food while maintaining the feel of a very casual joint. The heart healthy bowl was delicious, it was your typical rice bowl with meat, salsa, corn, guac, etc etc (think chipotle!) But they really outdid themselves with the amount of guac they include. I love it!The tikka masala was also delicious. The flavors were all there and it had a bit of a kick to it without being too spicy. But I wish it was a little saucier. And for both bowls, we got chicken. The chicken tasted really flavorful and I really liked their texture. It was in chunks so there was a good bite to it, but it also had the texture of like shredded chicken so it felt very much like real chicken.

We never miss an opportunity to stop here when we're passing through. We live three hours from this restaurant. We plan our travel carefully when we're in the area because we love to eat here. You go through the line and choose what you like from very fresh food. The flavors are amazing and the service is always fantastic. They're always willing to let me taste a curry I'm sure or answer any questions. Ambience is simple, but it's clean and fresh and so worth the time to come. We eat out a lot, and this is one of our favorite restaurants of all our restaurants.

I ordered Tikka Bowls and Tacos for delivery and it was an overall satisfying and delicious experience at a great price point. My main was a very large Burrito with Chicken, Tikka smoked curry, Black Beans, Lime Cilantro rice, lettuce, red cabbage, sour cream, pico de Galla, and fajita peppers. I will say, the black beans and smoked curry did overpower the other flavors a bit so I might switch up my order for next time, but overall, it was delicious and definitely more flavorful than I was expecting. The Paneer was delicious, even after waiting for the delivery to arrive, it was crispy and the filling was just a bit spicy to give it that added kick. The included dipping sauces added some savory and sweet options, with the green sauce being my favorite of the two.I did also order some garlic naan that was mainly used as a palate cleanser between my burrito and the paneer. Other than that though, it wasn't anything special, and could have been crisped up more for my liking.Overall, a great meal at a solid price point to compete with the likes of Chipotle and Cava nearby. If you're in the mood for some Indian flavors but maybe don't want or need a full sit-down experience it can also be a solid contender.

Have you ever heard of an Indian Chipotle? That's exactly what this place is! This is a fast and casual restaurant that serves Indian/Mexican fusion food!Their tikka bowls are what they're most known for. They contain rice and protein topped with curry and various toppings of your choice. I ordered a chicken bowl with tikka smoked curry, cheese, red cabbage, lettuce, pico de gallo, and red chutney! It was so delicious and a pretty good quantity for an affordable price! Their Pani Puri was a nice appetizer to complete the meal. They have 2 locations, one in Southside and one in Saint Johns! The concept of this place is very unique and the staff is super friendly! I highly recommend their bowls!!!My order: Tikka Bowls & Pani Puri
