Great live music. I recommend the Duke of Whales draft beer! It's a mix of Bold City Brewery Dukes and Killer Whale beers. Very tasty! The Cuban sandwich is not very Cuban. Regular yellow mustard, hardly any pork. Basically just a ham pinini. I'll try the wings next visit.I don't like that they allow smoking on the patio where the band plays, but wuddyah gonna do?

This is a little local bar/restaurant. Order at the counter. Mediterranean it really isn't. Yes they have gyros but it was like a package deal. Not like it is from a vertical spit. I had the gyro. It was ok. My friend had the sliced smoked turkey and it was dry. Passable but not the best. Definitely a local spot. It was busy. But probably won't be back. Lots of screens to catch all the games on the weekends.

This is another pre-game or pre-show location for great, reasonably priced, house made comfort food. My son and I used to walk here for breakfast or lunch long before they added dinner, drinks, music and trivia, so we have been fans for years!! They even have a nice newish patio for outdoor seating where the music occurs. The restaurant is locally owned and well loved by the area residents!!! It's kind of a hidden gem and word of mouth, good food, friendly service and a great environment keeps this place thriving!There's some parking on site, across the street and on the street. Hope you give it a try and I hope you enjoy it!

Best freaking ribs in Jacksonville. All the other stuff is fantastic. The drinks are great. The music on Friday nights and sometime Saturday is wonderful love the people are so friendly. The owner is usually there and he will come to the tables and talk to you. He is a cool mofo

What a great place and so close to the hospital!! The staff were amazing, cheerful and extremely helpful with finding lunch options on their large menu! We ordered at the front and food was deliver to our table. There is a drink station so you gab that and refills for yourself. I ordered the pulled pork platter and my stewed tomatoes and okra as well as the collards were delicious!! They have several sauce options too. I had to take a doggie bag home there was so much food! My friends also liked their meals. One had the chicken salad on pita bread and the other had the chicken tender basket with fries. There is plenty of seating inside and out and lots of parking options. I will be near the hospital again this week and already told my husband I would bring him to The Southern Grill!

Surprisingly better than the last time I came here. Ordered the steak with sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese. Friendly staff, had a great time playing trivia!

Very disappointed with this place. I was so excited to have a nice burger and fries and the taste just wasn't there. It was ok but kinda dry and I didn't like how the burger was "seasoned". Not sure what they put on it but it didn't have any kind of flavor. I did put ketchup on it but that didn't even help. The fries were good but that's about it. Crinkle fries are my favorite tho so.....One thing that really made me upset tho, I paid for the food and realized that they didn't give me the discount they have if you stay at a nearby hotel. So they told me they refunded that amount then ran my card again for the correct amount. Said it would be off my card in 24 hours. Didn't happen. I wasn't refunded at all and instead was charged twice for the same food. Thankfully I have an amazing bank so I called and they took the incorrect charge off my account. If you go here and they do the same, CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT!!!

Solid foods. Nice little spot. Absolutely some of the nicest staff members of any restaurant I've been to in years. They are so kind and helpful. I would come back for sure. Also terrific hours: early breakfast to late bar. And good music.

This place has so much charm and the food just hits the spot. I was so happy that this was my first food stop in Jacksonville! My spicy sausage was so delicious, great flavor and portion. I had it with a side salad that was refreshing and tangy with a vinaigrette dressing, balancing out the savoriness of the sausage. The sauce options were also awesome! Loved the hickory sweet. I also tried their fries and banana pudding on a second visit and it was delicious. Service is excellent and so quick. Highly recommend this spot.

It's a hole in the wall for sure. The beef vege soup was OUTSTANDING! Their fries are always crisp and seasoned, sandwiches are all on point. Not fancy, but yummy.
