The Smoked Meat Militia

So here's my lunch haul from The Smoked Meat Militia today:A third rack of ribs drizzled with their "Perfect Score" sauce and a side of Pop-pop's Chuckwagon Beans. These ribs are perfect. These aren't your "boiled-first-then-smoked" mushy ribs. These are toothsome and have texture; a beautiful smoke ring, smoky and a little spicy. Perfect without sauce and even more so with it.The Chuckwagon beans are my favorite iteration of baked beans I've ever had. Bits of ground beef add texture and the molasses a bit of sweetness.Give them a follow so you know where to stalk them

My favorite food truck in Jax. Everything on the menu is fantastic. BBQ, Brisket, Beans, Boo-yah!

I really hate to have to write this review of the Smoked Meat Militia, but I have to let my community know what i experienced with this Food Truck tonightI stopped at the Food truck on my way home from work, I ordered 1/2 lb of the pulled pork, when I got home and opened the container, right on top was a big blob of fat!!! I took it out in hopes of finding some meat mixed in there somewhere!I did not!!! This is part of my order that was weighed to give me 1/2 lb of pork!! We have been trying to support small business and we have purchased from several of the food trucks, but this is just unacceptable! When I thought it couldn't get worse, while I was examining the Blob of fat, I found a long hair in it!!!!!!!So, needless to say, my dinner was ruined and I was sick to my stomach!!!I grabbed all of it and drove back down to the food truck and asked for a refund! I got a refund, but GROSS!I'm sure everyone reading this post is also sick to their stomach, but our hard earned money is Not Worth That.

We were biking to find a place to eat and came upon this gem in Jax beach! Best barbecue place in town for sure! We tried almost everything on the menu and it all tasted so good! Everything was packaged really nicely! I loved the chicken thighs, cold Mac n Cheese and coleslaw the most!
