This place is FUN and sooooo local. Everyone checks you out to see if they need to make you go away but once you're in, you're IN. People were friendly, the bartender is fun and you should just go!

Great bartenders and great people and good drinks ! If you like to dance to country music then you will like this place ! Yes I was there not to long ago , the only thing , it gets really packed and needs more parking !

If I could rate zero stars I would. This establishment is a joke. First the bartenders are very slow at getting your drinks I've sat there and watched one play on there phone or just chatting it up with her friends while a line of people were waiting for them to take their order. Also if your a woman I suggest another bar because the have the ladies bathroom is broke and has been for over 6 months before they left it open because one stall worked and it was so nasty people were peeing in the sink in the other stall and there was puke in the toilet that didn't work so it smelled awful in the whole bathroom so they finally decided to solution was to board up the whole woman's bathroom and put two portable toilets out behind the bar which are always DISGUSTING because they never get cleaned by the employees or owners. My ex mother in law is the woman who cleans their bar they pay her under the table to clean so I know they don't clean them. Your drink prices will vary on bartenders some of them charge what the drink actually cost and some charge a little extra here and there to pocket the extra. It's happened to me on many different accusations and they have had to fix it because I caught on to it but some people don't. I've actually seen the bartenders take the money for someone's whole bill and put it in the tip jar and those people are left still owing the bar and don't even know it until the next time they come back. I personally don't judge people for doing drugs because I am a recovered drug addict who has been clean for a long time.. but when you end up in the middle of a bar fight because most of the people in there are coked up and acting stupid the drug passes through the bar and everyone knows it and most employees do it so they turn the other cheek. They don't have any kind of customer service I have been in situations where all it would of took was for someone to look at the cameras to see who was being bullied and they couldn't be bothered and they just sided with whoever they were friends with. I used to love going there but it has gotten so bad I don't see myself going back. I like to pee in a bathroom not in the wooded area with no light. I don't appreciate the employees work ethic or customer service when people go out and spent over $100 every night they do get a night out without the kids we don't want to be treated like our business isn't appreciated or generously tip bartenders who take 45 minutes to take their drink order and are incredibly unprofessional. I would not recommend this so called bar to anyone to be honest and if you do go atheist now you have an idea of what you will go through. Personally I'll be taking my hard earned money somewhere that has a working restroom.

This is a Westside townie bar with the package store attached. Rolan there on any given weekend night and you'll find 75 -100 pick up trucks scattered around the parking lot and the nearby businesses. The alternate DJs some are better than others you can expect to hear some country music and some fairly hard core dance that you would hear in a downtown club. Kind of funny to see a row of cowboy booted country boys shaking their asses to hard-core rap but you know, I guess it works. I find this bar to be incredibly smoky, they don't serve food so if people smoke in there and it is way too smoky for me. They have an OK selection of alcohol, two or three adequate bartenders. Literally if you were going to look for a bar from maybe like that old movie roadhouse, this is it. Despite the fact that it's full of rednecks and pick up trucks I have yet to see a fight. There's always a few of the rental girls from Lane Avenue hanging out by the pool tables in case you're interested. Drinks are kind of expensive for a Westside bar in the middle of nowhere but interestingly this place draws a crowd from all over Jacksonville, I don't know how or why but it does. Only reason I go there is that I can pretty much walk home if I needed to.

Strong drinks which is always a good thing. And they have alcohol, not just beer! It's a little slow right now... Maybe it'll pick up soon. Unfortunately they don't "allow" colors which bites. The DJ is playing a good mix which is great, a lot of metal, rock, some classics and a little country. Not too bad at all...

I frequently go to this establishment and buy liqour, the crew there is always helpful and kind. I would recommend this bar and store to locals who like a small friendly atmosphere.

The Roost Bar is always a good time!! Been going there for years!! They have a full set up for darts - soft or steel tip, pool tables and dancing!! Great music anytime! They have drink specials every night and buckets of beer a few nights a week. Westside bar - westside is the best side!! Friendly people everywhere!! Love it!!

Owner is a jersey, they can't keep staff and the liquor tastes like a cheaper brand then what it should be. When you question the the taste of the liquor you get told "It tastes that way bravado its aged," which is a crock. The place is also very nasty, not very clean, especially the restrooms. I went there several days in a row and there was puke all over the place and used tampons in a toilet (for days) that looked clogged up. The Health Department should shut them down. ​

This is a tasty bar. They can't keep bartenders and if they do there never on time. They say there hrs are from10am to 2:00am, but you will be lucky if there open by 4 pm. The bathrooms are always nasty. There are more drugs then drinks flowing on Friday and Saturday nights. There are fights every other weekend because there bouncers are a joke. I really can't see how the Health Dept or DEA hasn't shut this place down

I had not been to a bar for many years...however I went with my step son last night. Two words described it. It Sucks! The sign out front says Country Bar but its not really a country at all. Its more of a bar that caters to a young mixed crowd playing more hip hop/rap than anything else. Maybe I expected too much by reading the sign out front. But to me Country means Country not a mix of whatever! They even played the brooks and dunn song Play something Country....it was very fitting as I did not come there to listen to something thumping from the city!!!! Wont be back. If I was the owner I would put a sign up beside the DJ saying Country Music only! If you wanna listen to other go somewhere else!!! Not to mention that half the NEW country sounds just like that rap crap anyway.
