We stayed at this bed and breakfast while visiting Jacksonville for a wedding and loved it! The room was very cozy and breakfast was delicious. They had a really cool self-service honor bar in the lobby. There were lots of books you could borrow to read--I was struck by the collection of fantasy novels! Someone with good taste must be curating the library we enjoyed relaxing on the second floor patio. Parking was easy and readily available, and the hotel was located in a great location by the river. Definitely want to come back!

I can't say enough good things about my first stay at the Riverdale Inn. From the time we checked in, my husband, myself and our dogs had the most memorable time spent there. We stayed in the carriage house ( guest house ) out back due to me wanting to be sure navigating an old mansions steps wasn't an issue. We booked the smaller of the two rooms in that space but were graciously upgraded to the larger one. I think it was because we booked the 2 dogs with us and the owners wanted to be sure we had enough space. We definitely did and appreciate the gesture more than they can imagine. This place is all about the comfort and amenities that a bed and breakfast is known for. It's also about location, location, location. You are only a few blocks from a water front park, restaurants, bars/pubs, a museum, shops and other places to explore. Not that you'll get bored luxuriating at the Riverdale Inn, but if you need a break from the lounging, the honor bar, breakfast and tea service then just walk out the front door and down the street. You won't be disappointed. I'll end with the staff. They were there when needed and less visible when they needed to be. Eric was an excellent host and we felt well taken care of by everyone during our stay.

Lovely bed and breakfast in a great location right by the river. Check in was super easy - I called ahead to let them know our expected arrival and they gave us the door code so we were able to get right in and grab our info and keys from the desk. Amazing breakfast made-to-order with friendly and super fast service. I stayed two nights and had the veggie omelette and the avocado toast. Both were delicious. The honor bar was a nice touch and the prices were very really. The area around is nice, right by the river and a nice little park right by. Some nice restaurants not too far. Parking at the bnb was super easy - definitely will be back!

This cute B&B located in Riverside offers an afternoon tea service. It was warm and welcoming inside with a great service and a nice view of Riverside Ave. The food was also delish; however, it was very skimpy. I was shocked at the amount of food offered for 2 people at the price charged. Adding at least a whole cut up sandwich and some fruit would round this out much better.

We always wondered about this beautiful historic structure so we decided to make a reservation for their afternoon tea. They have a few choices on the type of package and we opted for the Traditional style. It came with egg salad sandwiches on white bread, chicken salad on mini croissants , cucumber and cream cheese on crostinis, scones and assortment of cookies and sweets. The tea was pleasant and our server was very friendly.

4 1/2 stars. Wonderful owners and staff. Great location if you want to be close to downtown jax but far enough away to have a neighborhood feel. Breakfast is cooked to order and a nice start to the day. Coffee was sooo good. Made with french press. Room was adequate but had a bit of a musty smell. Never saw anyone use the honor bar. The selection of spirits was a bit underwhelming. If you stay here be sure to explore downtown Avondale. Nice shops and restaurants. Lucky enough to be there on a Friday night when there was live music at several establishments. You will not regret staying here.

Came here for mother/daughter tea for back to school. Have to call in to make a reservation and pay for the reservation at the time that you reserved. You are only served one type of tea and you received a platter of delicious sandwiches and treats for $25 per person. There is parking in the back which is nice because it can be hard to find parking in the Riverside area. The service was good as she would promptly refill tea cups when she saw they were getting low and answered any questions that we had. The scones and the cucumber sandwiches were my favorite.

This review is almost a year old (July 2023), but I just restarted my Yelp account. It's $25/person and you have to reserve 48 hours in advance. I would definitely do it again. Pictured is a table for one. They do parties too. Fascinator and pearls aren't necessary but I figured, why not.
