Definitely hidden! We had to make u-turns because we couldn't find it until we realized it was behind the gas station! It's a small joint, local atmosphere kind of place with a bar. Very friendly service and delicious food that came up quick! I was out voted to try the corn nuggets, so we got fried pickles instead, but they were not even remotely disappointing. They are very thinly sliced pickle chips with a nice batter and not too greasy feeling. Don't judge the picture because it is been severely eaten by three people.I ordered the shrimp and corn chowder bowl and was delightful. It was sweet at first with a small kick after. I was too excited to take the picture, but finally did as I slowed down. It was honestly a pretty full bowl. My husband got the Nassau crab chowder and really enjoyed it as well, but had more of a kick than mine. Our friend had fried shrimp po boy and said it was really good.Absolutely coming back!

Stopped by on my way to Amelia Island, drawn by the rave reviews of their shrimp bucket and fried chicken. The shrimp were the freshest I had my entire trip and their fried chicken buckets were definitely generous and seasoned very well. I was also a fan of their crab boil, which also tasted very fresh, but I think I opened the boil bag a bit too late and overcooked the crawfish. The crab and artichoke dip was fine but wouldn't reorder. Service was very friendly. As per its name, it is "hidden" -- loop around behind the circle K to find it.

Visiting family in Fernandina Beach for a few days on my travels back to Naples, FL. Had a craving for fried chicken and discovered The Hidden Crab right here on yelp. Sister, who has lived here for 1 year, said she had not yet been there yet it was less than 5 minutes from her home. I said, let's check it out, good reviews and especially for the fried chicken. It was busy when we entered the restaurant but found a table along the wall in between the booths which were all occupied. The restaurant was full for a Wednesday with families, couples, and folks sitting at the bar. Nice feeling and energy when you walk in especially when very soon after we sat we were greeted by Cammie a very friendly and attentive server. We were there for the fried chicken and they offer you many ways to order between the number of pieces and whether you want dark or white meat as they cook them in pieces. Sis ordered a 2 pc with 2 sides, I ordered a 3 piece with 2 sides. We also ordered an app of peel & eat shrimp to be served warm along with a couple of glasses of wine. The P&E shrimp came out first in a basket seasoned with an 'old Bay' like seasoning, served warm, and were fantastic. The seasoning was just right and shells were easy to remove and the shrimp were crispy, tasty, and delicious. Our fried chicken came out soon after and we were not disappointed. I used to enjoy fried chicken at Phillips Crab House in Ocean City, MD but they closed their signature restaurant a few years back. Finding authentic fried chicken since has been trial and error. I will admit, this is some of the best fried chicken I have ever had! Delivered hot, steaming, crunchy on the outside and so tasty on the inside, Sis and I were totally enjoying our chicken and our sides. Mac/Cheese was perfect as were the green beans. Sweet potato fries were served cold at first but our waitress Cammie brought us a fresh hot batch of sweet potato fries right away. We ended up bringing 2 pieces of chicken home and I will have one for lunch today!Hope you enjoy as much as we did. Check for their daily specials. We will be back for sure!

It shouldn't be a surprise that not longer after having Dick's that we wind up having The Hidden Crab. Fortunately, this Hidden Crab is one we can post about on Yelp. The dining room is as comfortable as it was when it was Shuckers and The Chicken Hut (I think that was the name), but we do think it has gotten some freshening up with the name changes. The service is consistently friendly and good. I think we had Breanna as our server on this visit, but the other server/bartender also came to the table for friendly small talk. We had the lobster roll and the blackened fish fingers with fries. The lobster roll had a good bit of lobster on it, and it tasted good. The fish fingers were prepared well (enhanced by their remoulade sauce for dipping), and we liked their fries. We had a glass of wine and a Cosmico (so tasty, and so local). We failed to get pictures of our plates before we dug in, so I can only show our drinks and leftovers.

Struggled with whether to give 3 stars or 4 stars, but I'm going to go with "4 stars-- with caveats." I think this restaurant has the potential to be a solid 4 star, but we went on all you can eat crab leg night (Wednesday night), and so I think many of the small issues could have been avoided if we'd gone on a less busy evening (especially since we didn't even order crab legs). We could see the waitresses all working hard, but there were often delays in service (like drink refills, requests for sauce, receiving the bill) because they were consistently refilling crab leg and shrimp orders. The restaurant also ran out of silverware for a time, so we received our food and then had to wait 5-10 minutes to receive silverware to eat the food with. The food was hot and all very good, so we'd definitely come back (and recommend you give it a try), but we'd recommend trying a night other than Wednesday unless you're looking for unlimited crab legs!

All You Can Eat Crab Legs and Fried Shrimp?!?!!! What!?! Wednesday nights in a small town restaurant, just slightly off the beaten path, behind a Circle K, you will find this Hidden gem (Crab). You will be greeted by one of the locally sourced staff who will invite you to sit where you like. Lauren is amazing! They do have a full bar and the menu is great, ranging from Fried Chicken to a host of seafood options. The AUCE Crab and Fried Shrimp was perfectly prepared and delicious, accompanied with fries and coleslaw (very good and I'm generally not a fan) with choice of cocktail and tarter sauces, obviously clarified butter. They also have a 30 Fried Shrimp option daily, at a great price! This place is fantastic if you're looking for one of VERY FEW restaurants offering AUCE Crab Legs!

Great service and food! We had the Shrimp Po Boy and the Crab Leg dinner. We sat inside but there is an outdoor area. More of a bar type atmosphere but we enjoyed our time there.
