Everything except for the chicken dishes were absolutely amazing and the 2 chicken entrees weren't bad, they just were not great. Worth noting, if you want liquor, this is not your place. Our server forgot to mention the specials or that the "cocktails" were mocktails.When we rolled up to The packed parking lot and saw this little A framed place I was somewhat skeptical that we were going to get a table. Luckily, they said there would be one in less than 30 mins. We walked in and saw a bunch of people looking like they were loving their meal. The walls slanted and almost to the back of the heads of many of the clientelle was interesting. I knew this might be an issue with me being tall, but I had the let the older ladies that I was dining with sit in the other side so they could easily get to the bathroom if needed.Both of the tuna and the fried shrimp appetizers were something I would daily if I lived nearby. The scallops were superb as well. The cheese curds were worth it if that's your kind of thing, but we didn't need them.I personally got the shrimp and grits and no complaints here. But like I said, the other 2 got the airline chicken and the baked ziti add chicken. Northern of which did I consider anything special.And time in driving through the area I'll ponder a visit back here!

Tucked just north of Matanzas Inlet, Elk House Eatery is a delightful escape, offering the perfect setting for a cozy date night. The warm ambiance and attentive service immediately set the tone for a memorable evening. We began our meal with a local favorite--house-made Wisconsin cheese curds. Perfectly crisp and indulgently rich, these little bites were so irresistible that we promptly ordered a second round. A strong start, to say the least. For the main course, I opted for the 10 oz Premium Black Angus Hanger Steak, marinated in a bourbon-maple glaze and served with a fresh chimichurri sauce. The combination was nothing short of exceptional--each bite offered a tender, flavorful blend of smoky sweetness and vibrant herbs, making this dish a true standout. My girlfriend chose the Cedar Plank Salmon, featuring a Faroe Island filet with a jalapeño-apricot glaze. The salmon was delicately cooked to perfection, with the glaze adding a subtle kick balanced by the sweetness of the apricot. The only misstep was the accompanying rice, which lacked seasoning and was slightly undercooked, but this was a minor note in an otherwise delightful experience. Elk House Eatery is a true hidden gem, combining local charm with a menu that offers creativity and substance. It's the kind of place where you feel at home and leave satisfied, eager for the next visit.

So happy we finally tried this restaurant The food was superb!!!! The service was friendly and welcoming! The outside seating was comfortable and we had a nice breeze that evening.The cheese curds were so good we ordered another!!! You must try if you like cheese curds!!! YUMMY!!My salmon was cooked to perfection! Well seasoned , moist and served with a sauce that just brought the whole dish together!We will be back! And you all MUST give this place a try!!

Absolutely amazing! So glad I came! I have driven passed it many of times and always wanted to give it a try, but never have been able. At first sight I pictured it to be a fancy dress code type of restaurant not suitable for kids. Regardless my two daughter come with me everywhere. We stopped in there was no dress code inside is very much like an old log cabin style. We were seated since I arrived at 4:30pm and they opened at 5. I just waited since I was already in the area. I ordered a Pinot Noir and our food. There is no kid menu, my toddler loves fries so I ordered a side of fries, and I shared my plate with my ten y/o my husband we also had an entree of fish. Everything was wonderful, they have coffee! Bonus along with their creme brulee that was divine. Prices were decent, staff were great! We will be back!

This is a great seafood place. Nice menu, friendly staff and good food. I had the Sea Scallop Pesto, which is wild caught sea scallops over linguini in creamy curry pesto with fire roasted peppers and grilled ciabatta. I usually ask if certain items on the menu are farm-raised or wild caught but it was described on the menu. Nice atmosphere, even at the bar, where my server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely come back.

Food and service were fabulous! Small A-frame establishment with cozy vibe...we ate on the front porch and were seated quickly. The menu is quite diverse with many choices of meats and seafood which makes this a solid choice for the hard-to-please group. The romaine wedge is a good starter for 2-3 people and the oysters were delish!Our group had the seafood pasta and flounder special...all very tasty, hot, and curated beautifully. We did not have dessert but the options sounded great. Our server, Tony, was pleasantly chatty, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and wines.

Cheese curds & crab dip are a must, 10/10. The service was good, ambiance was great. We sag on the porch and they had fans to keep you cool. Would definitely recommend, we would go back.

I recently dined at The Elk House Eatery, and it was a fantastic experience! The highlight of my meal was the steak with chimichurri sauce--absolutely amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Additionally, the service was top-notch, thanks to our server, Tony. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. I highly recommend The Elk House Eatery for anyone looking for great food and excellent service. I can't wait to return!
