The Cuban Cafe And Bakery

For your morning wake up @10am (open). I was going to have an empanada to compare it to the Columbia but after seeing cases of cheese empanadas sitting outside from a delivery that was left without anyone around @9am I decide on something that I can watch them make. I have had Cuban sandwiches in Miami and I have had Croquetas but I have never had the two put together. The Croqueta sandwich is just that and was delicious. Opens at 10am and the line out the door builds quickly.

We were here for a drink after walking on St George street. The latte is actually very good. No green tea only black tea. They also serve food, pretty neat place!

This was a great stop by for a late lunch. The place is fairly simple in decor, but it certainly got the job done. As it was well after lunch, we were the only ones there and service was quick and efficient. I had a Cuba sandwich and an El Presidente beer which went well with the sandwich. The sandwich was better than average, but nothing to write home about. I'd stop in again if in need for a quick and good bite.

My husband and I are always looking for great Cubans and this place did not disappoint!!! Aside from delicious flavors the bread was perfect! It was fresh, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The size was huge. I ended up splitting it with my five year old. She loved it. She kept saying how delicious the pork was. We also ordered a side of fries which was big enough for us all the split. They were crispy and well seasoned. It was beautiful day out so we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. My daughter also got her first churro which she said was delicious and wanted another one. The staff was very friendly. One of the best Cubans we have had.

This has been our favorite Cuban spot for so many years! We have watched them grow from a little tiny space to a larger space with tables and a place to enjoy your drink/food of choice.Our favorites over the year have been their Ham Croquettes & Cafe Con Leche. Luv luv luv these two together when needing a mini snack! Yummy!!Today we enjoyed their Beef empanada and spinach & cheese. Beef was good - the beef has a taco meat taste. The spinach and cheese were REALLY tasty! Always great service! Love seeing this place grow! Def try them out'

Cute little cuban Cafe in the cut. It could easily be missed but is def worth the stop as the empanadas are to die for... they have a wide variety, including chicken, beef, and vegetable. They also serve a variety of coffee. Nice place to grab a snack before sight seeing.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast bite. Sandwiches, croquetas, and café were really good, but the Cuban toast caught us off guard. The place was well decorated with very cute espresso decor. My only recommendation to the owner would be to make the side of Cuban Toast how it's traditionally made: Cut it down the middle (like you would a sandwich), butter inside, then press it versus only buttering the outside and press it without cutting down the middle. Being from Tampa, Miami, and Cuba we know that it's traditionally done this way. The staff was nice and friendly and remade it for us, but it still didn't quite come out the same, instead pressed into a cracker-like form.

I have grown up in Florida and this is one of the best Cuban places. Highly recommend their Cuban sandwich, cheese and guava pastry. The cafe con leche hot is by far the best Cuban coffee I have ever drank in my life. The iced one is pretty good if you don't like hot coffee. The workers were very nice. Such a cute local spot.

Food was very good. Great amounts of meat on a perfectly cooked bread. We had one small issue and they fixed it immediately. Will be back.
