The Corner Pocket

What a fun place to come and let loose!! Our friends, my husband, and I had such a good time playing pool last night! We met some awesome people, listened to an amazing, live performer (singer), and enjoyed some spirits!The only reason I minused a star is that we left early because it was so muggy and hot inside.

Our Red Hat Chapter revisited The Corner Pocket as we had promised to do last year when we first went. The food is all fresh, homemade and everyone enjoyed their meals. I have the BLT because of my onion allergy, but it was fine (I had it my first visit, too). I tried their macaroni and cheese. It's nicely cheesy, but not creamy (just in case you're expecting that). The staff is very friendly and checked back with us regarding more to drink. Because it's a pool hall, one might not expect it to be warm and welcoming but it is! Families could really enjoy eating here and the children could learn the game! If you're looking for something neat to have a family get-together and meal at, try The Corner Pocket!

Great crowd for a Tuesday night! Even if you don't play pool this is like a Cheers bar! I hung out at the bar and met several people. I ate a delicious cheeseburger with a clam chowder that was also delicious! The beer is ice cold just how I like it! When I come back I definitely will be drinking their cold beer! April my bartender was excellent! Even going to start playing pool with some of my friends! Great experience thanks Corner Pocket!

What a gem, our waitress was great. Met the owner an she was also a gem. Food was great. Best chicken and dumplings where amazing. The coca cola cale was great. First time havin it. Moist cake ansdchocolate topping. Its in an actual pool hall which is so cool. Overall a very good meal. Alittle pricey for were it is but worth it 100% considering its made from scratch with the onwers mom's recipe! We will be back

Had heard positive things about this place, so wanted to check it out.Cheri, the owner, warmly greeted us. When she found out it was our first time, she eagerly shared menu favorites and details. She is very committed to making her place work and to making sure excellent customer service is provided to all.I ordered the four sides plate. I chose: green beans (delicious), mashed potatoes with cream cheese (tasty) with white gravy (arrived ice cold right out of the refrigerator), macaroni and cheese (tasted decent, but could have used more cheese), and 3 one-half deviled eggs (tasty). It took awhile to get hot gravy and by then the potatoes were almost gone. I also had cornbread that was good. It was covered in butter and I like putting butter on the inside.My friends each got the chicken and dumplings. Both dishes had to be sent back to the kitchen to be heated, as they arrived luke warm. One liked the heated dish and the other one didn't.There are lots of delicious sounding dishes on the menu. I may give the restaurant another try. What also may motivate me to try again is the commitment of the owner to customer service. Will let you know!

What a nice afternoon with friends at the corner pocket. It was my first visit and found friendly people starting in the huge back parking lot. Inside is a billards area ...a bar and then sectioned off in the rear is a quaint place for eating their great menu items. The menu is full of great choices and the lady servers are so friendly and really wanted take great care of you. The billiards area is clean and the tables were all in new condition.We paid $11 hour for each set up and enjoyed several cocktails that were priced at.. yeah ill have 2 than ..pricing and topped it off with wings and sandwiches. Will definitely be back soon to try some more off that menu. I can't believe it only took me 10 years to find them.

Great place pool hall/bar , food and staff. Style Southern cooking awesome Drinks are way over priced.

Mediocre food high prices coupled with warm beer not a very good place to be.Probably won't try again for a while.

Food is hit or miss. Service is very slow when picking up for lunch and consistently wrong. Sadly- I try so hard to patron small businesses but I have to say this is the last time I will go there. Prices are ridiculous for the portion. See attached picture of Chef Salad, which was $15.

I've visited this place for years. The old owners are amazing people. They new owners have gone with a different feel/style, and it's more of a sports bar now, which is great. The food is good, staff are all very nice and the remodel looks so good. Definitely get the banana pudding! I love the little town of Green Cove, but if you visit, you have to stop by here! It's also next to the beautiful spring park!
