Tried The Boat House recently with hubby and really enjoyed it. I've been curious about this restaurant because I see they have a good amount of menu items for sushi and a variety of seafood dishes. For this first trip, I was craving sushi so we kept it on the sushi side.We tried Riptide Roll, Grand Sashimi Moriawase (14 pieces of chef's choice with toppings), hamachi / yellowtail poke bowl, an order of otoro/fatty tuna, and the Hokkaido uni nigiri (part of their special of the day).Everything was pretty good. The roll was good, the fatty tuna we ordered was also part of the chef's choice (awesome), the chef's choice was actually surprisingly good value in the size and quality of the fish. The uni was a bit higher priced for the size imo (surprising given how generous the sashimi was on the other order). My personal favorite, however, was the hamachi poke bowl. Every component was delicious and with good amount of hamachi, toss in a bit of wasabi... yum! I'd go back again and again just to have that bowl. The service was friendly. The restaurant can get a bit loud, but I like the casual vibe. So overall it really was a great dining experience. I would definitely return to try other dishes.

The Boathouse offers an intriguing concept that seafood lovers will appreciate. However, my recent experiences have been a bit of a rollercoaster ride.Lobster Roll - The star of the menu is undoubtedly the lobster roll. It's nothing short of amazing, delivering a luxurious taste of the sea. However, be prepared for the hefty price tag of around $35. It's a splurge, but worth it for lobster enthusiasts. The sushi selection is another highlight. Not only is it very good, but it also stands out for its uniqueness. If you're looking for creative rolls that go beyond the standard fare, The Boathouse delivers. My recent attempt to order a lobster roll for pickup left me scratching my head. Despite offering to pay over the phone, I was denied the option to place a takeout order for this item. This policy seems inconsistent, as I've successfully ordered takeout from them before. It's the first time I've encountered such a restriction, and it's admittedly a bit perplexing. In conclusion, The Boathouse offers some truly exceptional seafood dishes that are worth trying. The lobster roll and unique sushi options are definite highlights. However, their seemingly arbitrary takeout policies might be a deterrent for some. If you're willing to dine in or navigate their takeout rules, you'll be rewarded with some delicious seafood. Just be prepared for premium prices and potential ordering hurdles. I am looking forward to trying this place for dinner.

If you're looking for an amazing & fresh seafood meal, this is the place to go! The drinks are good as well. From sushi to scallops to lobster, they have it all. It was my first time dining here and we all enjoyed every bite. We got the calamari appetizer and conch bites. Both were amazing. I ordered the pesto and scallop gnocci and my accompaniment ordered lobster ravioli and the tuna. Everything surpassed our expectations! Service was great. During a busy weekend night, the inside was a bit loud so we opted to sit on the porch. While expensive, it was all worth it. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice place to dine.

The Boat House had been on my radar for a while but I hadn't made it for dinner when I realized they had a new brunch offering. We went right after they'd opened on a Sunday. We were the second party there and were seated promptly. We ordered the French toast, captain's breakfast, and shrimp and lobster omelette. We got the fried oyster appetizer to start. The brunch menu also had their take on chicken and waffles, eggs benedict with seafood protein options, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito, grits with seafood options, avocado toast, and a breakfast scramble. They had a kids brunch menu that also came with crayons and pictures for coloring. The food took a while to come out and when it did, it wasn't correct. We had someone who was lactose intolerant in our party and had requested his appetizer and main dish with no cheese. Both arrived with cheese. They remade the oyster app and he just removed the cream cheese dollop from the omelette. Unfortunately, the omelette suffered from a lack of flavor or seasoning. The captain's breakfast was fine and simple - eggs, potatoes with sausage, chicken tenders, and a biscuit. The sausage gravy that was supposed to come with it never arrived and the bottom of the biscuit was burnt. The French toast was excellent but again, it arrived with whipped cream on top when we requested it on the side. The kids burger looked seasoned and it went over well with our toddler. The brunch was fine overall but nothing to write home about. Service was a bit sparse and the accuracy of the meals wasn't good (sausage gravy never came, cheese was on plates with a specified lactose intolerant guest, whipped cream requested on the side wasn't honored), despite our being one of two parties in the dining room to start. Perhaps dinner here is more of their specialty.

Newest obsession. Happy hour is a must! You'll get a wide variety of tasty options without an outrageous bill at the end. The service is phenomenal. I love asking the staff what their favorite items are take it from there. You'll notice simple things like the way the staff all walk with one hand behind their lower back, stood straight, without slouching. They work together making sure every table is satisfied, not just their own. It's quite nice. Subtle but noticeable if you're a people watcher like myself. Although it's called "the boat house", and it's not on the water...the moment you walk in you feel the presence of an airy, light space as if you could imagine it was in-fact over looking water. I have zero complaints and plan on making it a new favorite spot of mine! Ask for a side of the hamachi style sauce. It pairs well with EVERYTHING !

Came here for a birthday celebration with my girlfriends and left extremely happy! Portions are large and full of flavor! I'm not sure you can go wrong with your pick! Not pictured- the bread pudding which was 10/10 tasty and more than enough to share between 3 people!I ordered a cocktail and it was one of the tastiest I have had in months.Plenty of parking and both indoor/outdoor seating options. Consider making a reservation although not required week nights. No complaints and will def be back!
