I guess the concensus is that this is the best place to eat in River City. It probably is the best steak as Longhorn and Outback are the only other options. There is always a wait, I don't mind a few minutes but there is sometimes a wait of two hours. I will not be doing that.The steaks are good for a commercial, budget friendly steakhouse. They are cooked to the requested temp and have a good seasoning. You will not need steak sauce to add flavor. They bread is a yeast roll and have a firm crust and a soft center, served with cinnamon butter. If you order a salad it always comes before the meal, not with it as seems to be the new way to serve a salad. They have an app called an onion petal or something like that. It is far superior to what some other chains do with the same type of app.The service is always excellent. This must be the culture of the restaurant as most places in the area (and there are a lot) do not give this kind of service. When you are seated, the hostess puts a tag on your table. This tells the manger that he or she has not stopped by yet. A manager will always speak to you here. The servers go above and beyond to ensure you have a good experience. They check in after your food is served at the appropriate time, never let your drink get empty, then check in regularly.My only complaint is the loud music. It is kind of a bar atmosphere throught the place. It won't stop me from going but I do feel it is a bit excessive.

This was the first time at this Texas Roadhouse location. We went there the day before Valentine's Day. I got the 14oz Ft Worth Ribeye with fries and house salad. I love their Ribeyes!!! Very good flavor and very tender. Love the fries; very good flavor. The only negative about the meal I have is they put the steak directly on top of ALL the fries which made them soggy. As soon as they put the plate down I immediately removed the steak off the fries and put it onto another plate!!! Luckily it didn't affect all the fries "this time". * Don't put the steak on top of fries unless we "the customer" requested it!!!! I HATE soggy fries. My wife ordered the 12oz Prime Rib. She loved it and had perfect flavor! Both salads were great and very tasty. Our waitress was very friendly. In my opinion; the food is a 5 star! The presentation of the steak on the fries is a 1 star. Out of all the other steak houses in our area Texas Roadhouse has the best steaks!

I dined at Texas Roadhouse for Dinner located at 13139 City Station Dr in Jacksonville, FLUpon entry, I asked for their Health Score so I could take a photo and was rudely told by the Owner, Dave, that he didn't have to divulge that information to me and I could find the information online. Even though I was extremely disappointed with his horrible attitude and unprofessionalism I still rated my experience as 4 stars. Kasey & Lexi saved my experience and they both were very attentive accommodating and courteous. We enjoyed the grilled shrimp with a loaded baked potato and steak fries and the three piece catfish with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. The ambience was loud with multiple TV's on multiple sports channels. Thanks Kasey and Lexi for improving my experience. Much appreciated.

I have been to this chain many times in Alabama and Pennsylvania and had great experiences. That was not the case today. We arrived at 11 when they opened. The rolls were cold. I ordered the ribs. Five minutes later I was told they did not have any. I then ordered the steak kabob. It came out cold and sloppy. If my daughter didn't have a flight in an hour I would have sent it back.

I love that we were able to join the waitlist online and continue our shopping experience in river city. Because we joined the waitlist online we were seated right away. Our waiter was very friendly came over, got our drinks and appetizers made.Some suggestions came back with our drinks and winahead and grabbed our order. He was friendly. When we placed our order, we asked if our salads would come out first.He said yes they will so we placed the order with salads. The salads did not come out first.He gave us a free appetizer for next time and apologized. He was quick to try to resolve including saying he can packaged it to send home, we didn't want that so he gave us a free appetizer. The food was great, the rest of the night was uneventful.

We've been here several times now. It can be hit or miss sometimes. Between service or cook temperatures. But overall it's not enough to keep us away. This meal was an 8oz thick cut New York Strip Med Rare with a baked potato. I did get a side salad but it was devoured but I could get a picture. The steak was cooked perfectly and baked potato was fluffy. Meal was great along with plenty of yeast rolls.

Excellent service. Food was great and there's plenty more parking available here compared to the Texas Roadhouse that's located in Orange Park. We're about in the middle of the two and will probably start going to this one moving forward.

My wife ordered the 14 oz prime rib. At best it should be called the 12 oz. She brought home the leftovers (read:my dinner) and although it was well prepared, it was VERY fatty.I generally wouldn't be crying about that (fat is flavor), but nearly 3oz's? Yeah, as a matter of fact I did trim and weigh it. I'm not usually that anal, but when I moved the lovely piece of beef in the tray, there was a huge piece of fat. Again, I generally like fat, but that was a bit much.

Went up there to visit an old friend as my server. The manager "Jenny" was yelling at my friend for "talking to us" when I tried order a drink. Very uncomfortable for the whole table, will not be returning to this location. Very unprofessional even thought they barely had any tables.
