Went here and enjoyed everything you see. The drinks were good. Especially the expresso Martini & the red cocktail I can't recall the name of. Shrimp scampi was my dish and omg, it was perfect. The right amount of everything, only added some pepper (b/c I put it on everything). Service: Our waitress was knowledgeable and provided A1 service. Ambiance: We sat outside because it was a beautiful day, nice to people watch.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorite lunch spots. While the prices are on the higher side, the food quality, skilled kitchen team, and great service always made it worth it.For a pre-Valentine's Day lunch, my honey bear and I ordered our usual favorites--Shrimp Scampi for me, Steak Frites for him. Unfortunately, this visit fell short. My shrimp were overcooked to the point of being rubbery, the garlic in the sauce was raw, and the seasoning was lacking. The steak, though perfectly cooked, was also under-seasoned, leaving it bland--thankfully, the demi-glace added some needed flavor. To top it off, the once fluffy and delicious meatball appetizer was dense and dry, more like a bad meatloaf ball than the tender starter we remembered.I hadn't planned to complain, but my server noticed my dissatisfaction and asked. They later returned to say we weren't the first to mention issues that day and offered a 20% discount.With so many missteps, a simple discount didn't feel like enough. A remake, comped dish, or even a manager's apology would have been more appropriate. I hope this was just an off day rather than a sign of declining standards.I'm leaving this not so flattering review because Management didn't see it fitting to address the issue themselves even though multiple people had complained that day. Management of a restaurant 101 - acknowledgment and a sincere apology go along way; especially with repeat customers.

Another amazing meal and time at taverna! This place never lets me down. The special was Steak - 14 oz porcini rubbed ribeye, horseradish mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, mushroom + leek Marsala, demi-glace. The mushroom and leek Marsala was so flavorful, so delicious!!Also pictured is the fettuccine with scallops, a little pricey for a pasta dish but worth every penny!

Very yummy food here! I loved my pasta, it was a good size and the goat cheese was a nice touch. Our waitress was nice as well. We got seated in the back room and we're right next to a loud, big party. My seat was also right against them so it wasn't the best spot. Everything else was great.

went here awhile back for Happy hour. This was after my wife and I had an excellent dining experience (also happy hour) at their new restaurante next door (Oceana). NO complaints. Excellent service, friendly staff, nice ambiance, deliciously crafted cocktails, and a small but nice happy hour food menu. Will be back again for more happy hours or even dine in during dinner. Thanks for having us.

The best thing about this place would have been location and indoor ambience. However, food is MEDIOCRE & service HORRIBLE. My first impression when I walked through the door was UPSCAL but I was disappointed with the wait time of receiving food, UNATTENTIVE waitress, and BLASÉ taste entree. I did not leave here thinking I should add this place to my regular eatery spots. Crème Brûlée grapefruit is absolutely AMAZING. it's conceptual and executed well. The combination of crunchy sugar and the meat of the grapefruit. This would be the only reason to return. Smoked Chicken Salad sandwich was my least favorite. The bread was a bit over toasted so it crumbled as I bit through. The chicken chunks are unpleasant and bombarding while chewing. All of the flavors came to me separately. Just NOT GOOD. This place would have to do better with bring the dining experience together for me to consider again. I think there are other places in San Marco to choose over them.

Arguably one of the best brunch spots in Jax. Long warm and cozy bar with fantastic drinks and service. Their espresso martinis are a ten-out-of-ten! Their crab cake eggs Benedict are fantastic. If you're a carnivore, check out their hanger steak and eggs; a home run on a plate. If you're in to great food at reasonable prices, Taverna is your go-to!

I came with my sister in law for her birthday. Beautiful place! Glad I made a reservation because it was packed! Food was good! Loved the Parmesan Truffle Fries! Sis got the seafood stew and loved it! I got the short rib and it was tender and delicious! Our waitress Chamar (I hope I got her name right) it was a very pretty and unique name! But she was awesome and the service was great! Will definitely be back again!

I came to Taverna to celebrate a friend's birthday, and I was thrilled that she chose this spot because it's one of my favorites. I had the steak frites, which consisted of a beautiful cut of meat and crispy fries with Parmesan, garlic, and herbs. The demi glaze tied this meal together perfectly. We also indulged in some craft cocktails and enjoyed espresso martinis for dessert. It was a fantastic celebration with delicious food and drinks!

First time here at Taverna ever and we went for Brunch! The ambiance and atmosphere inside was so cute & cozy (leftover from Christmas) and our server was engaging and kind. The burrata, meat and fig spread were a yummy start....the only dislike was the side of eggs tasting like they were swimming in pesto and barely tasted any egg but all in all still a delicious brunch. I will definitely be coming back for dinner!
