Taungzalat Asian Market

Taungzalat Asian Market is in a strip mall that has definitely seen better days. It is not a huge market by any means, but it does offer ade ent selection and the girl there was extremely friendly and helpful.They had some produce, but I was more focused on their grocery side, particularly their spicy chile oils and other items.I walked the aisles of this market, which like the strip center it is located in, is pretty much a no-frills type place. Again, it is not huge and does not have as much as other Asian markets, but it had a decent enough selection. Overall, I will give this particular Asian marketfour stars overall.

A small but good market with very friendly and helpful staff. The owners I believe are Cambodian and the emphasis is on Southeast Asian goods--so this is not the best place to seek Korean, Chinese, or Japanese products though they do have some. There are markets in Jacksonville that specialize in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese as well so it's very nice to see one that specializes in Southeast Asian, especially Cambodian. (Nearby Kompongson Market just down the street also is Cambodian as well.) See their selection of snacks and small selection of cookware, especially!

Awesome Asian grocery store!!!! I've been here twice and they always have what I need! The store owner is so helpful and sweet!! The store is clean and well stocked!!! This is one of the friendliest Asian grocery stores I have been to!! I will be back!!

I came here after a very unfortunate experience at another store across the street, feeling a bit defeated. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the friendliest woman. I told her I was looking for Lo Mein noodles so I could cook them at home. She immediately showed me where they were. Not only that, she asked me if I was sure I had everything I needed to cook them. And I wasn't! So she told me the list of ingredients she cooks hers with, which I just think was the sweetest and most thoughtful thing of her to do! I can't wait to do more shopping in this store. Such a clean and organized place too! I'm so sorry I don't know how to spell her name, but I hope she is there next time I'm there so I can tell her how great my noodles came out because of her!

I have bought the stuff in there and then I realized I bought too much I called the girls that I come to exchange with some thing else and she hang up my phone. Really bad attitude!
