Taqueria Cinco

Another great stop to Taqueria Cinco! This time we sat inside. We have historically enjoyed their outdoor seating but the ambiance inside reminds me of every great Baltimore and New York restaurant I've been to before where space is maximized, and the interior is used to to set a cozy atmosphere. As always, we were greeted immediately and service was excellent. The crew there is just fantastic. This time I had the shrimp tacos with rice and beans. The tacos...phenomenal, the shrimp flavored exquisitely, the fried shell elevated these like everything else I've had here. What I didn't expect was for the rice beans to be so amazing. The texture, the taste, the best I've had anywhere. I've historically considered rice and beans to be a standard, an afterthought. As with everything else done here, excellent and next level. Can't wait to try something else next time. Everything I've tried is a home run. I strongly encourage you to visit this excellent spot in Riverside. You'll be glad you did.

I ordered the Huaraches dish and was truly blown away by the flavors of it- the ribeye steak was the perfect pairing for the dish. Our food came out quickly, the music was sooo awesome and the staff was friendly from start to finish. The vibes are hot at this restaurant!!

I visited Taqueria Cinco with two fellow yelpers Bobby and John after our 20-mile bike ride. The ambiance was enjoyable, featuring music and both indoor and outdoor seating. However, the food did not meet expectations. Specifically, the Al Pastor Taco was overfilled and fell apart during consumption, and the carnitas taco was excessively greasy with minimal pork. The flavors were also overpowered by cilantro, and the sides of rice and beans were bland. Additionally, there were no fountain drinks or complimentary water. Overall, I give this establishment three stars due to the subpar food and lack of complimentary beverages. Sodas and beers were priced very reasonably, but without refills it limited us to just one beverage. I would have given this 2 stars but because of the great service I made it 3. Hopefully I have a better experience if there is a next time.

This place is a very cute and small space but has some of the best tacos in Jacksonville. I wish it was a little bit more roomy because you can't really go with a large group of friends. It gets crowded indoors pretty quick. I enjoyed everything I had there though. The guacamole was delicious and so was the corn. Everyone that works here is also very sweet, which makes it better. Their specialty margaritas are so yummy!! I had the passion fruit margarita and I definitely recommend.

Fantastic as usual. Great service, beautiful weather for outdoor seating and delicious food. Weekends here are great with Al pastor tacos and all our usual favorites. 5 star local place within walking distance of our home in Riverside. The best red sangria and yummy fresh made chips and salsas. Al pastor tacos on the weekends are a must, but really, everything is fantastic.

I recently tried the chicken tinga taco, and it truly exceeded my expectations! The flavors were wonderfully balanced, and the taco was generously filled. While I'm not usually a fan of shredded chicken, I found the texture a bit chewier than I prefer. That said, I would definitely return for another visit. The interior is charming, and the friendly vibes made the experience even more enjoyable!

This is my favorite place to get tacos and margaritas! I lived in Chicago for 10 years, and the food and vibes here rival those of my favorite places in Chicago. They make really good use of their outdoor area- actually I think I've only sat inside 1 or 2 times. It has a hipster ambiance, but the service is always friendly and unpretentious. These are my favorite go-to menu items:1. Chicken tinga: if you're like me you might think chicken is so boring, but the sauce it's cooked in is kinda similar to mole and has a slightly smoky, complex flavor- LOVE.2. Al pastor: it's only available on weekends but I love the sweetness of the pineapple.3. Pescado (fish): I don't love this one as much as the others, but I just have a personal preference for grilled vs fried fish. This one replaced the cochinita pibil that they had that I was obsessed with but it's not on the menu anymore :'( 4. Any margarita that's on special (they rotate them all the time). Otherwise, they'll make me a skinny margarita, even if it's not in the menu, which is soo good. I'll admit I had a friend who said she could tell their tequila is lower tier, but I can't tell. Maybe my palate isn't very sophisticated though haha.

Taqueria Cinco came highly suggested by our next door neighbor. It was certainly a nice spot. I came with my family for a Taco Tuesday outing. It turns out they have a nice happy hour and Tuesday specials $3 dollar tacos and $5 margaritas/drafts was a nice special. Indoor seating is small, but intimate in a good way. I expect they get full with dates a lot. The staff was great and service was quick. Nothing took long to make or serve.The chicken tacos were very tasty as was the carnitas. I didn't try the falafel taco, but it did sound nice. My Modelo draft was tasty and the margarita was also very good according to my wife. Overall, it was a nice spot.

It's always a great time here. From the great staff to the delicious tacos. The drinks is always on point. The vibe is like as if you runaway to Mexico for some good tacos.

Good tacos but flavorless pork carnitas. The place is ok, go early in am to get better seats
