Taco Lu is officially one of my new go-to spots as a new Jax Beach resident! I stopped by for happy hour and dinner, and everything was fantastic. The Juan Collins cocktail was super refreshing--not too sweet, just perfect.As a vegetarian, I was thrilled with all the options--they can swap tempeh for meat in most items, which is such a win. I had the cheese quesadilla with tempeh, and it was packed with flavor and incredibly satisfying.The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. Taco Lu is definitely staying in my regular dining rotation!

Service was great and can accommodate celiac or gluten free diets easily.Corn was fantastic! The tacos were very dry unfortunately. The only taco we liked was the Mahi mahi.Vibes were great!

Local favorite, I absolutely love the bangin dilla! Also highly recommend their salsa and queso. I used to be a bigger fan of the specialty tacos, but over time they just haven't been my favorite. Better to stick to the order that never fails. Great outdoor seating area, although wish there was more parking and that you didn't have to valet here. Love that you can sit in the bar area or the family area. Have never had any service issues here, always polite staff.

Everyday should be Taco Tuesday! Love the variety of tacos and the sizes are perfect to mix and match if you can't decide on just one. The Deb's Verde and Spicy Bird are my favorites. We always start with the guacamole and queso but the meal isn't complete if you don't finish with the Sopapilla. Jake provided perfect service. There's normally a wait but Sunday is the perfect time to go and skip the line. Limited parking but they do offer valet. Fun decor and a bar make for a great night out spot!

LOVED the tacos here! I got the carne royale (with grape salsa & brie), flyin' hawaiian (carnitas with pineapple salsa), and scallop tacos! My personal favorite was the carnitas one. The other two were good, but I would probably try new ones next time if I were to return on my next visit. We sat outside on the back patio, and there was so much space! It was a cooler night in Jax for October, and it was nice to have the breeze while we ate. Our server was super friendly and the food came out pretty quick.

Food was great, service was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. Food came out fresh and tasty! I tried the green rice and that was the only sub par item. Some folks may dig it but my family didn't care for it. Guacamole, queso salsa and chips were also amazing. Salsa was fresh and delicious!

I love TacoLu! The back patio is super nice and we always like stopping here after a trip to Brewhound with our pup Cedar. Our favorite dish is the street corn nachos with steak, it's a huge shareable portion! It has fresh cut corn and all of the flavors work well together. I always recommend squeezing some fresh lime on top! *chefs kiss* I have also tried some of their tacos and enchiladas suzias but the nachos is why we like to stop by! They are really that good :) Highly recommend checking out this space if you're in the area!

I have been here a couple times and this is my first time reviewing. I had the bangin tempeh taco and a tempeh taco. Both were pretty good (bangin tempeh better than regular) but honestly I do not understand the hype of this place. This visit was much the same as others. It's good but not great. We also had sangrias. Those were prob the best drinks I've had in all my times here. Very enjoyable and refreshing! The ambiance is fun. We sat at the bar and the bartenders gave pretty good service. While nothing is overwhelmingly impressive for me, I am giving it 4 stars because there's also nothing really wrong with it!

Sometimes I feel like I'm in some sort of TV show when I am in Jax Beach. The 5 of us arrived at Taco Lu at 7pm on a Saturday with no reservation, sat at the bar for 20 minutes, spun the little $7 shot wheel of death thingy, won 2 warm Milagro tequila shots with no lime or chaser, spilled one of them, 2 of us split the other, nearly threw up, got seated at our table, bodied some chips, ordered a tequila on the rocks, ordered 4 tacos and 3 sides, realized we were sitting right next to our F45 trainer from earlier that day, said an awkward hi, destroyed the tacos, tapped my Chase Sapphire Preferred, and got gone.That may be my longest sentences to date. I'mma leave it though that was one take.For clarification, that warm Milagro tequila shot with no lime was actually hell. I don't know what the mustache bartender had against us, we didn't even really interact that much. Maybe Mustache was just having a bad day. I have em too.For the tacos, I smacked one brisket, one shrimp, one scallop, and one chorizo. It was an elite assortment, but I really ended up bonding with the Chorizo. Me and this Zo had a special connection, idk what it was.TacoLu had such a great community vibe. I felt like this was a local gathering spot, it was JUMPIN. Every age, every demographic was represented in here too. Crazy work.There was also these teenagers dressed as grandmas throwing ass at the cars that sped by on the highway out front. I was so confused. Maybe that's why Mustaches' vibe was so off.I don't know exactly what type of TV show Jax Beach is. But it is one. I'll work on that. Has one not been filmed here? This place has an awesome selection of tequilas and Mezcal. The food is kind of American Mexican, but it is very good.The drinks are phenomenal! The escete quite is awesome. The bar feels kinda like Mexico and the tile that decorates this restaurant is very much Mexican style.
