We tried Sweet Girl's at the suggestion of a friend for a couple of pies and a cake for the holiday season. Several things on the menu sounded good and we ended up ordering a sweet potato pie, apple pie with streusel topping, and cream cheese pound cake. We also tried a few items that were available at the storefront - german chocolate brownie and another brownie with coffee.The best items we tried were the brownies. Both were absolutely delicious! Even for someone who doesn't like coffee, the coffee one was a winner. They were dense but soft and had a nice slightly chewy texture. The pies on the other hand fell short of our expectations. The sweet potato pie needed more cinnamon and nutmeg and the apple pie was very light in color and also needed some seasoning. The streusel crust on the apple pie tasted very good but it was unfortunately soggy. The pound cake was a bit stiff and dry.This was a mixed experience for us. The brownies were a hit but all three desserts that we'd preordered weren't great. We had several other desserts from other locations as well for the holiday, including some duplicate pies so the comparison was stark. It was nice to try this place and I would recommend them for brownies.

I don't think one review will be enough to express how impressed I am with this bakery and its owner Nicosia! She is an angel! My original baker canceled five days before the baby shower I was throwing for my friend and Nicosia was able to take my order and have it ready by Thursday in just three days. Not only that, but the cookies were stunning! Everyone at the baby shower asked me who made them and everyone was impressed. My friend's husband is a pilot and Nicosia incorporated little planes on the cookies which made them even more special. I highly recommend her, look no further! I'll definitely be ordering from her again for future events.

I stopped by this charming new bakery after lunch last Saturday, and let me tell you; the cakes, pies, cookies, and brownies all looked delicious. I purchased the "brownie caramel turtle" and it was absolutely the BEST brownie I've ever eaten in my 58 years of life. It was filled with nuts and lots of delicious thick gooey caramel. I cant wait to go back and place orders for some amazing desserts for the upcoming holidays for my family dinners!

5041 San Jose blvd AND Rosevelt location is CLOSED. The San Jose blvd location literally has nothing on the inside, literally and the Rosevelt location has a "coming soon" on the door. Don't waste your time.

Grand opening was 10/12 and I rarely go to a new place within the first 30 days but there are exceptions to my rules. I was going to get a late lunch at Tumptim Thai or Bodrum but the grand opening sign caught my attention and semi empty store. I realize I was about 40 minutes before closing and I really didn't expect a ton of choices but I was wrong. First of all this kitchen smells like your ancestors joint and it gives you a serenity like the warmest hug. Then you notice the huge smiles and warm greetings from Coley and sweet Corey( I promise to try the lemonade next time). Now the display case is full for the time of day. I was only going to get a slurry brownie and be on my way but my eye caught the sign stating Banana Pudding Cookie. SAY WHAT??? The southern in me said no way Oh my lord. 24 hours later and I am still thinking about those glorious cookies. That cookie was so much I didn't eat the slutty brownie I bought but the person who did stated that we needed to come earlier. Upcoming special is humming bird cake by the slice on 10/19.

Stumbled upon this bakery while in the area. Very glad I decided to come inside. One of their many specialities is their quarter pound cookie. They are hockey puck sized discs of deliciousness. I picked up three different kinds and loved each. These cookies cost less than and taste better than insomnia. I can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu. Thank you!!

OMG The cookies we bought were so delicious that I had to go and buy more for my sister. She was feeling down and when I gave them to her, her face lit up (they were packaged so nicely)! Later that night, she called me to tell me that she went out and bought some milk and ate the cookies just like when she was a little girl. These cookies are not just baked goods ... they are medicine for the soul. Thank you!!!
