Sushi Q is the kind of place you almost don't want to tell anyone about so it can stay your hidden gem forever-- but I am here to spill the soy sauce.I walked in on a Friday night expecting a bit of a crowd, but it was quiet! Maybe everyone was still in a post-work stupor, but that just meant I got to enjoy my sushi in peace. And let me tell you, it was great. I went classic with an Alaska roll and a JB roll because sometimes you just want simple! Pair that with some perfectly steamed and salted edamame, and I was in food heaven. The service was the real star of the show though! This was next level hospitality - everyone was so attentive and friendly, I started to wonder if I was secretly someone important. (Spoiler: I'm not.)The prices were so reasonable I actually checked the bill twice to make sure I wasn't undercharged. Good sushi at great prices--why isn't this place packed to the gills every Friday night? So, do yourself a favor and go. But don't tell too many people, okay? I like my sushi nights chillNo pics because it was a no phone night! But trust me - it looked as good as it tasted.

A second visit and still great! From service to flavor, we are so excited to have this sushi experience right near the house! The biggest thing you notice as soon as you walk in is the cleanliness of the restaurant, though it's quiet and calm, you can tell they keep it clean and welcoming! NOW LETS TALK FOOD! The desire roll is one that seems to be a fan favorite every-time, but don't forget to try atleast one but probably two others! From sushi rock to the tiger we are always so excited to come here .... Maybe even possibly plannning a weekly lunch date Also the clear soup is so so good

I stopped in because I was in the area and what a happy accident! The service was fabulous and my waitress suggested some great options. The sushi was fresh and had a wide selection.I liked the booth where I sat and the lighting was calming. This place is great for date night or for lounging and enjoying sake.

I have found my new favorite sushi spot in Jacksonville! The beauty ocean roll was SO tasty and fresh, this was my first time with seaweed salad on a roll and I will never look back. The spicy escolar was good, just plain and I personally enjoy rolls with more things in them. The krab wontons were tasty and fried to perfection. I was in and out quickly and efficiently. Not to mention, this place was very affordable and had a big menu. I will be coming back here again and again!

I ordered Sushi Q for delivery, so I can't comment on the service. Although, I did try a few different foods. I was excited since the town center doesn't have many sushi options, but I probably won't be returning here. My order was well packed and included utensils and sides of soy sauce and shrimp sauce. I got an avocado cucumber roll and a tofu roll. The tofu roll was made with silken tofu, so it was very mushy and unpleasant. The avocado cucumber roll was pretty standard. The sushi wasn't very well made so it fell apart while eating with chopsticks. The side of fried rice and side of noodles were good, but needed a little extra flavor in my opinion. Make sure to specify no egg if you order the fried rice if you're vegan or allergic. The Krab rangoons were the best thing I got. A good amount of filling, very tasty, and the dipping sauce was great. Overall, I wouldn't go here again for sushi. (Which is disappointing since the name is literally Sushi Q) but I can imagine their hibachi might be worth it if you're in the area and need something quick.

A great spot for some quick and casual sushi! The prices are decent, especially the lunch specials, and the quality of food is pretty good too! The clear soup, while on the saltier side, was tasty. The ginger salad was very crisp and fresh. And the dynamite roll, advertised as spicy, while delicious and perfectly crispy, was not spicy at all. The servings sizes were especially good for their price and I can see myself coming again to try the other menu options!

Delicious sushi in Jax! I came here for the first time for lunch with a friend and ordered their 3 roll lunch special. It was $12.95 and came with soup and a salad. Service was quick and great, not too crowded for lunch on a weekday and delicious! Will be back.

This week, I decided to grab some lunch outside of the house. Craving sushi, I decided to go check out Sushi Q near the town center. Going in, the restaurant had a nicely dimmed atmosphere, and plenty of seating was available. That afternoon, I ordered 1x lunch sushi special (2 rolls of choice & clear soup), which I picked the avocado tuna & spicy salmon, and a tempura appetizer (includes flashed fried veggies and shrimp). Moving on with my review, this had to be the worst sushi experience of my life. As for the good (if there is any), the clear soup wasn't too shabby as it was light and had crispy bits of onion in it. And, the flash tempura veggies were tender as they had a nice airy/crispy exterior. However, as stated above, on the bad side, the sushi was again awful. Before I even attempted to eat a roll, I had already noticed that the color of the fish had been significantly off. When I asked my server about this, they just reassured me that this was what I ordered. But when I took a bite of the spicy salmon, I immediately sensed a funky aftertaste lingering in my mouth. Being disgusted, I, of course, called over the server to express my discontent, which they then told me that the sushi had come freshly from a brand new package (really now?! If this was the case, they should have thrown it away because it definitely tasted spoiled). Overall, I'm sorry, but both the food and service that day were unacceptable, and therefore, I'm giving sushi Q a 1/5.
