Sunrise Cafe

Had breakfast this am - first time on a weekend. Coffee came quickly but we had to ask someone to take our order after waiting quite a while (and during that time at least two tables of people who came in after us ordered and even received their food. Not sure what happened there but service was good after that. Had the breakfast sandwich on rye (delicious but the bacon was much more sparse than usual); also tried the hash brown casserole which was delicious. Hubs had an omelet and toast and enjoyed it.

I walked in a little after 7:00 AM on a weekday just as the old-timers were getting their stools adjusted at the breakfast counter for their countless cups of coffee, yeah I'd say this is a local's restaurant which was exactly what I was hoping it would be. The outside is kinda bland as is the strip mall it's located in but the magic is inside, this cafe is very unassuming but very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, the staff here is really friendly and attentive you'll never have to worry about your coffee cup going empty and by the way the coffee is outstanding. I ordered two eggs over medium, bacon, grits and toast - the food arrived fast and it was all cooked perfect. I think arriving early was a good choice because the customers continued to fill this place as time passed but even with the cafe filling up the service remained attentive.The prices are very reasonable and all the food was delicious and a great value I can see why people flock here. If I have one regret it's that I didn't try the biscuits but I won't make that mistake again- hope to return soon..

Stopped in again for a brunch bite. How could a good thing get any better? Well, the soup (chicken vegetable) and dessert (lemon mascarpone layer cake) selections CERTAINLY have! In addition to the chalkboard, there's now a paper menu with Daily Breakfast + Lunch Specials! The prices are still great, but the food selections and quality are even better! The Rosy Red potatoes are something different than the usual hash browns or home fries. The biscuits are truly an amazing thing worth the trip alone.I took a slice of the lemon mascarpone layer cake home with me and was floored how PERFECTLY delicious it was! (It's frightening because if it's on the menu when I go, I will now have to get one to go EVERY time.) :-PAlways a great place for those comfort foods done right!(Just remember there's now a discount for paying with cash instead of card.)

The pipping hot coffee served at Sunrise Cafe deserves a special mention. It was not just a hot beverage; it was comforting embrace in a cup. The rich aroma, coupled with the prefect temperatures, it surely made it a delightful companion to my breakfast. In all transparency I truly needed that coffee and to me it was the best thing ever! As to quote my favorite movie "Elf" congratulations, you did an amazing cup of coffee! The service was outstanding. The staff was attentive and friendly, A sincere thank you to the entire team at Sunrise Cafe for making our brunch special. We look forward to returning and indulging in the delicious French toast and best cup of coffee a girl could have.

I was taking a short trip and decided to call a to go order.I ordered the Texas Omelette with biscuit and hash browns.The omelette had ham, green peppers, onions and cheese, they were diced really small and I appreciate that, the eggs were perfectly cooked and bits of ham on top.The biscuit was light and fluffy and very good, nothing special about the hash browns but have you ever had hash browns that tasted any different from the next? I have not!It came with salsa which was pretty good and I added a little hot sauce to it but really didn't need to because it was already a little spicy.Everything was pretty good and I would stop here again if I'm the area.

Picked up take out for an early dinner. Food was very good. They forgot one of the appetizers, we called and ran back over to grab it. They were very apologetic and gave us a gift card which I thought was very nice. Most places would not do that. We will be back again!

We really liked the sunrise cafe for breakfast. Honest, good, tasty food, what else do you need? :)

As you walk in the greetings roll out and make you instantly comfortable. The coffee might of been the best I've had while in Florida. The service and food was also fantastic. The atmosphere was so comforting it took my anxiety away. I highly recommend this very small establishment.

Very casual breakfast/lunch place with great service and food. Don't let the outside view in the strip mall keep you from trying this place. We've been here several times and each time have enjoyed our visit. Their turkey sandwich is made with carved turkey and not deli lunch meat which I always prefer and it's very good. You also cannot go wrong with any of their breakfast plates. The only downside is that they close at 1:30 pm.

This is a great place for most any kind of food you want. I've had pizza, a burger, breakfasts and most excitingly (?) lobster rolls! Everything has been very good so far and it helps a lot that it's right across the street from my condo near the Publix strip mall. It's in the old bank building at the North end on Ocean Shore Blvd.The ambiance is twenty-first century diner, so don't expect any of that fancy stuff. The service is exceptional, so enjoy that. The food, so far, wonderful! Try it!
