Quaint, little bakery cafe with delicious pastries, sandwiches, and paninis! The service was super friendly. Locals love this place! A must-try in St. Mary's! There are 6 tables available if you want to sit and enjoy your or afternoon coffee. The bakery clerk was super sweet. And everything we tried was hot and made to perfection. They have everything from donuts to danishes, as well as breakfast sandwiches and burritos to paninis and lunch sandwiches (only available 11am-2pm). I had the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. The bread was buttered and toasted perfectly. The sandwich tasted so good! I also tried the broccoli, onion, and zucchini quiche, which was my favorite. It had a flakey crust, and perfectly cooked egg. So tasty! For my dessert I had a large brownie slice with nuts. So, so good! I can't wait to come back and try more on their menu!

This is notable for being one of a modicum of local businesses that are open early, and in particular a place that one can stock up before traveling to nearby Cumberland Island, which does not have food. I perused the baked goods for a while before settling on a spinach croissant and a blueberry muffin. Having transported them out to the island, I did smush them a little bit, but both items delivered about as well as you could expect; there were a lot of blueberries in my muffin and it remained moist, and my croissant was both flaky and full of actual spinach. With all those whole plants, it's almost like I brought a salad with me. Almost.It's not a huge shop, and not the kind of place where you'd go for special dietary needs baking or items other than baked goods. But within its niche, it delivers good quality stuff.

I first heard of Spouses from the folks in a class that I attended. Told me about how good their sandwiches and pastries were. Then again from my lady at the spa and told me to make sure to try their Keylime Cake. Fast forward to 1 year after, I finally found my way to grab lunch to go after an appointment in Saint Marys.Got a Club Sandwich for my husband and Brisket and Eggs Sandwich for me. I was really looking forward to having their Keylime Cake but they already ran out. Though the nice young lady gave me a tip to call in ahead of time to see if they have any available. And by the way, it's only available on Fridays.I arrived at Spouses around an hour before they close (they close at 2pm) and it was quiet. Not sure how busy they get on a daily - but if they do, just keep in mind that there is very limited parking available. My husband and I could've shared a sandwich because it was packed! I'm not kidding, the Club Sandwich was probably about 2 inches thick. The bread is buttery toasted too. The Brisket Sandwich is not that thick, but they haven't skimped on the Brisket either. For dessert, I grabbed a couple of their brownies and a Lemon Cake which were both delicious. The brownies reminds me of homemade brownies that I'd probably have from someone's mom's house. The Lemon cake is very light and moist.Looking forward to update this review once I have their Keylime Cake

Food was amazing for a small bakery. Was there for lunch had a delicious club on sourdough bread. Friendly service. Donuts, scones and muffins absolutely fabulous!

This place is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS, both breakfast and lunch. Everything I've tried here, I loved, especially the caramel pretzel chocolate chip cookies! I will definitely continue to eat here as their customer service is wonderful as well. Look forward to my next visit...soon!

Visiting my parents and came here for lunch! We had Delicious bacon quiche, spinach quiche, BLT, muffins, brownie and coffee!Highly Recommend!! We shall return! Thank you for your hospitality!!

We had breakfast sandwiches here July 7th, We've had bakery items before. The place is great. Get your coffee from an urn, order and sit down. Navy and Coast Guard took up almost every table. They are baking their own bread. The egg sandwiches are fantastic. Once before my wife had gotten a bacon, egg and cheese and I had a bite and wanted more. So our favorite breakfast spot is closed for vacation so we came here. I had the sausage, egg and cheese and it was filling and delicious. The bread is amazing. I'll take pictures next time. Wifey had the usual bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin. Pretty sure that was homemade too. Just a cozy little place. When we move into our new house we'll be closer so this could be a regular spot for us. Service is just fine they bring your food out after ordering at the counter. A slew of delicious bakery item are available from brownies to quiche. If you're in the area check it out but the close like 2pm.

It was a great experience overall and the food is delicious. You can't go wrong with the breakfast burrito. The brownies are also amazing!

The food is delicious! The pastry case makes you want to try everything and sandwiches are made to order. There are only about 6-8 tables but we've always been able to eat in. Quiet place for great food.

This place is a true hidden gem. A smaller establishment but very clean. My absolute favorite bakery that I have ever been to my whole life. The service is always great but the food...OMG! Today I went for brunch and got the sausage egg cheese on Kaiser roll & pasta salad. When I say it's the best I've ever had that's an understatement. It was sooo good!
