Never had Indian food, but Indian food my be my favorite food ever now. I had the butter chicken with a 7 spice level, rice, and garlic naan. The butter chicken was so creamy and rich and the spice level was the most perfect I've ever experienced. Garlic naan was a nice side and even was amazing creating tacos with the butter chicken! 10/10 recommended The service was quick and easy with the food being ready within 15 minutes of ordering. The restaurant was very Indian cultured which was nice and a very trustworthy sign you're getting authentic food. Was quiet, low music, and the smell of the whole building was pure food heaven!

I don't wanna be that person, but I felt extremely discriminated against and I didn't even get the chance to talk to a single person that worked there...A friend and I were trying to enjoy a nice little dinner together while our husbands were busy and thought we were try somewhere different. The place smelled amazing. We were so excited to try the food. However, we stood in the doorway for 15 minutes without a single person to ever acknowledge us. Several times we made eye contact with the employees yet no one would come our way. In fact, they seemed to avoid us. Which was weird since we are two very small females that don't look like we could hurt a fly. Shortly after a couple came in and received the same treatment so we chalk it up them simply being busy. That wasn't the case unfortunately. A family of 10, (I'm assuming Indian from their looks and accents, I could be wrong), shoved their way in between the four of us standing there, sat themselves, and a server walked right up to them. We. Were. Flabbergasted. To say the least and walked out. The couple did as well. We possibly could have just sat down like they did since there was one table open after the family of 10 sat, but there was a sign at the entrance that says, please wait to be seated. I spent 20yrs in the restaurant business so I respect the industry tremendously and try not to do rude stuff like that. I guess the point I'm getting at is I've had terrible restaurant experiences many times, but never before did I get ignored in such a manner. Maybe it was because we were two little blondes. Or maybe I'm just fishing for reasons "why". Either way, it didn't sit well being overlooked when the entire restaurant seemed to be of the Indian ethnicity and we weren't. Such a bummer. Truly. My friend and I are huge foodies and would have love to try the food everyone raves about. But poor treatment of patrons can't make up for that no matter how good it is.To the owner: Thank you for the offer but it's not often that it's just my friend and I and my husband doesn't really care for the specific cuisine you offer. So I'm sorry but we're going to have to pass. I didn't write the review to get special treatment or anything. I simply wanted your establishment to know and understand that such treatment doesn't go over well and can hurt your business. I hope you understand that. Sometimes you have to address issues publicly to be taken seriously.

I ran an errand on the other side of town and found myself hungry for dinner. I jumped on Yelp and saw a friend's recent review of Spice Grill Indian Cuisine. I put their address in my GPS, and off I went.I ordered to go at the registry after inspecting the menu. I waited roughly 10-15 minutes for my order. Then I went home and had a fabulous dinner.I ordered butter naan served with what tasted like tzatziki sauce. The naan was still hot and deliscious! I ate it with dinner over the course of three days. Yes! There was so much food it took me days to finish it.I also purchased Gobi Manchurian which was freshly cut cauliflower tossed in Indo-Chinese sauce. It was perfect spicy, but not too hot. And not too heavy on the coating. The main course was Goat Biriyani with spices and basmati rice. The goat was tender and came off the bone easily. The flavors were like little fireworks going off in my mouth. I really loved this dish. If you enjoy Indian food you will love this restaurant!

Ohh we all really liked this food! We were trying to decide for dinner and my daughter suggested Indian, sounds good and this place was close and new so we decided to try it, it used to be a Thai place but it was nice walking in, we got take out which was ready pretty fast (15 min) We got:Butter chicken- delicious! The old starter dish, the gateway to Indian food, lol it was so tasty, scooped up with garlic naan, chefs kiss! Chicken 65- marinated chicken that's then flash fried, served with a yogurt type dip, again delicious! Veggie biryanI- a rice dish, I wanted some veggies so got this to eat with the chicken, at first I thought it was kinda plain till I mixed it up, it had lovely veggies in there with chunks of cheese ( paneer?) so good! This fed 4 adults we all really liked it! Only comment we all agreed on was the naan was not as fluffy as we've had before it was thinner, almost crispy on parts, still enjoyed!

I have now been to Spice Grill 2 times within a week so clear to say I really like it. We came in on a Friday night our first time and had no problem getting a table. It for sure seems that most to pick up then eating in since there were only a few eating end but we saw a bunch get take out. We started checking out the menu. I will say the menu isn't huge or nearly as been as some of the other Indian restaurants in the area but they did have what I was in the mood for. Our waitress quickly took our order. We started with the Samosas of course and got and order of the Chilli Paneer. For my entrée I got the Chicken Tikka Marsala and the Chilli Garlic Naan. Ashley got the Butter Chicken and the Tandoori Roti. We both went for medium for our spice. too after our waitress broke down their spice levels. Our appetizers came out within about about 10 minutes. The Samosa were very tasty. They were fried perfectly and were nice and hot on the inside. They also came with 2 types of chutney's. My favorite was the green/mint chutney but both were good. The Chilli Paneer was also very good. So much flavor and just the right amount of spice. Plus the Paneer has that great cheese squeeze too!Now for our Curries, both were amazing! I will say there medium spice was also great for me. Had just the amount I would want. Maybe a little too spicy for Ashley but just right for me. The curry in both were so rich and flavorful and our Naan and Roti made great work of getting every last drop of it. I also really liked that the Chicken in the Tikka Masala also seemed to have been roasted in Tandoor because it had those nice grilled/burned (flavor) marks. Our waitress was also extremely friendly. When I was back a second time my friend asked for a suggestion which she was happy to give. He got the Goat Kadai which he loved. The goat was so tender and I also got to try and I enjoyed it too. I will say it is on the bone so just a head up if that's something your not able but it for sure makes it more tender and flavorful. Our waitress was also thrilled that he and myself enjoyed it. Will for sure be coming back.Last couple tips: They have a Happy Hour discount of 20% off when you dine in Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5-7pmThey have great prices on drinks. You did pay a little more if you use credit/debt so if that's not for you bring cash money.

Relatively new restaurant my husband and I were super excited to try! We came in on a Friday night and walked right in and got a table, we noticed there weren't many people in the restaurant. However, while we were there, tons of carryout orders were being picked up. The waitress we had was fantastic and answered some of my questions as well as advised on what heat level we should get so I highly suggest coming in and eating in the restaurant if you have the time. This restaurant doesn't have a the biggest menu, but they do have a good variety of options and all the things we had were very, very good so they are sticking to quality over quantity. As with most Indian restaurants, there were a lot of vegetarian options. However, my husband and I both decided to go for meat based entrées. I ordered the butter chicken as my entrée, and we split the chilli paneer and samosas as our appetizer all were incredible! With the Butter Chicken and Chilli Paneer I got the medium spice which provided a good amount of heat which would have been fine for one dish but was a bit much for both so I learned my lesson and will get one medium and one mild next time. A tip for the Samosas is use both sauces the complement each other so well. We also split an order of naan which was good but didn't taste any better or worse than other naan I have had. I am fairly certain I will be going here for dinner again tonight that will be the second time in three weeks for me and third time in three weeks for my husband.

I stopped by for the lunch special masala bowl was excellent! The curry was a good portion for $12, and tasted very fresh. It had peppers and onions in the gravy in addition to the paneer/cheese. I asked for "spicy" for the spice level and it had a great kick! Not too much, not too weak. The manager/owner was very friendly and maintains an immaculately clean restaurant. Clean, neat table setups with nice plates and glasses, etc.I'll definitely be back!

Hands down THE BEST Indian food in Jax!Since their opening I've ordered weekly via Uber Eats. Due to a shortage of delivery drivers, I just made the trek from Atlantic Beach (approx 35-45 min- trust me it's worth it), and am currently salivating at the table while waiting for my food.Honestly just ask Sara for her recommendations like I did this evening. From the samosas, paneer bites, tikka masala, vindaloo, biryani- you'll be hard pressed to find something you don't love. I'm not even a fan of butter chicken, but I'm obsessed with theirs. Do yourself a favor pop in for a visit. Your taste buds will thank you.

Twelve of us attempted to come in for dinner tonight - we arrived right as they opened, and there wasn't a single customer in the restaurant. We weren't seated because the hostess had to go let the owner know we have a registered service dog. Not a therapy dog - a trained and licensed service dog.The owner came out and said we couldn't have the dog there. We explained that she's a service dog and he said "this isn't a huge restaurant, there's no room for her" - as he gestured around to the completely empty restaurant. We explained that she stays under the table on my feet - and he said it wasn't acceptable. I respectfully explained the state and federal law to him. He said "fine - then you can go buy a cage to put her in". That's interesting... there's no room for her to be on my feet... but apparently there's room for a cage?I explained to him that the law is very clear - and he started yelling "I know my rights". I once again explained the law and we said "no problem - the 12 of us will eat somewhere else and we'll be reporting you to the state and letting the world know about it". He became enraged and said FINE I'LL MAKE AN EXCEPTION.We left anyway. I mean seriously - who in their right mind would trust this man to cook their food after that?!?! As we left, I took a picture of the outside of the restaurant for documentation. He and one of his other employees (sneaking around the back) then approached our families and he started yelling at us again. I explained we were going to be reporting him. He said "see see I'm not denying you service". I explained that he very clearly had and that it was too late - the damage was done and we didn't trust him.He then started screaming that he had it all on camera. I just smiled and said "outstanding - you can share the footage of you violating the law with law enforcement and the world". We then left.Make sure to tell the world - if they're willing to deny SERVICE DOGS and their handlers their legal rights... what else are they doing to violate the law when it comes to your food?
