Southern Grounds

I love the Neptune beach southern grounds location. Although it gets busy on weekends, I can always find space to work on my projects. The food is absolutely delicious and there are many dietary options. I love Sogro coffee and sometimes even enjoy drinking it black to enjoy the bold flavor.

Look first the bad - parking is all paid parking, that has nothing to do with this business, but be prepared. You get 30 minutes free, after that, it cost money...Walked in, there was a line which went very quickly - my turn to order... I asked for hot Earl Grey with cream. The gentleman suggested that I try a London fog, something I've never had before, but it's an Earl Grey with heated cream, absolutely delicious.Ample seating inside, however it was warm enough today, even though there were gale-force winds ha, to sit outside, ample seating outside as well for southern grounds and the surrounding businesses.Our drinks were brought out promptly, in reusable drinkware - very environmentally kind :-)A to zed everything was amazing, prices were absolutely spot on, and drinks were amazing.

Cute coffee spot. Great location by the beach in a nice little plaza by shops. It was pretty busy. I got a hot coco which was pretty good. Great spot to meet up with a friend or do some work.

What a beautiful day for a drive on my anniversary. Our first stop was to church and we headed to Neptune beach to uncover a restaurant to try. We settled on Southern grounds. It is our first time and we got to finally sit outside an enjoy some music from down the street from Sliders. Sliders will be out next stop, real soon. Our brekafast was divine. Wifey had shrimp and grits with a slab of bacon and toast. I had the 3 egg omelet with cheesy grits. The breakfast was suberb and a quiet end to our anniversary weekend. We toast our 17 years of wedding bliss with a house blend red wine. A salute you baby and looking forward to 18 years. Thank you southern grounds for making this a perfect day!

Southern Grounds is such a cozy spot! The grilled goat cheese sandwich was chef's kiss--seriously delicious. It comes with a side, and I went with the pasta salad, which was pretty decent. Also tried a local kombucha from Gnarbucha, and it was super refreshing!The outdoor seating is perfect for hanging out, reading, or getting some work done. And that pastry case is calling my name--I'll definitely be back to try some of those treats. Overall, a solid place to relax with good food and great vibes!

I have to stop here at least once when I'm in town visiting family. The staff was super friendly and patient with our order. Everything was accurate and delicious. It's a comfortable environment, and when it's warm enough we love to sit outside.

This was my first time visiting Jacksonville and I was staying at the hotel across the street. I wanted breakfast and a latte. I ordered the vanilla latte and the eggs Benedict. I feel like the food was a little pricy, but at this point in 2024 I am not surprised. I got my benedict and it was honestly really good. Very fresh ingredients, I can tell because I can taste every bite. My latte was really good too, it was a good size and they had a cute little design on top. The place was packed, so I sat outside. Almost all of the tables in the courtyard were taken which is a great sign! It was super cozy spot.

I've stopped at the Neptune/Atlantic Beach Southern Grounds a few times before. It is a cute spot, and I always just get a coffee. They do have a full food menu though! We visited during the sidewalk art show night and got hot drinks. I enjoyed a hot almond milk chai latte, and my boyfriend got a mocha latte and we shared a snickerdoodle. It was a great little treat, and the drinks were ready quickly. The barista was friendly. Everyone there seemed like regulars and knew eachother. Cute spot!

I've been here through many coffee shops preceding Southern Grounds, including Lillie's etc. and I'm very happy that Southern Grounds has a beach presence. They have one the of best coffee shop menus that I know of and the staff is always friendly and timely. The shop is large and has plenty of seating, although you may need to venture outside on a weekend morning to grab a table. This time I ordered a chai latte with oat milk and the salmon toast, topped with herb cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, cucumber, and fresh dill on pumpernickel. Absolutely fantastic! I wish there was more salmon on top but it was a great dish that I'll be looking to recreate at home. The chai latte was disappointing and basically just milk, but I've had several good lattes here that I won't let that deter me. Always worth a visit if you're in the area!
