Southern Grounds

Perfect cafe located right outside of the rush of San Marco. I really enjoyed visiting this location today. There was ample seating and easily found parking right next to the cafe.Really quick service as well. Came in to enjoy coffee and get some work done. The cafe has a cute setup allowing for a lot of natural lighting to come in. Love this location and I will be back!

Came in during the evening to finish up some work and the experience was good. I only ordered an iced latte, but they do have food items and pastries. Check this place out if you're looking for a coffee shop to study/work from! Internet worked well during my time here.Seems like a good spot to meet friends for brunch or an evening hang out.

I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch with friends Sunday afternoon. It was my first time visiting Southern Grounds and the food did not disappoint!I got in line, ordered my food and grabed my number to take to the table. They had a self-service water station. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with sauteed onions, mushrooms and bacon. Oh my, I don't think I've ever tasted a chicken sandwich so good! The seasoning was perfect, and the sauteed onions and mushrooms complimented the sandwich so well! For my side I chose the Mediterranean salad and I'm so glad I did. There was lots of indoor seating plus a large patio. The downside was parking. But that is the issue for every business in San Marco. There were a few parking spots right beside the building which were all taken. I ended up parking on the street about four blocks away. They did have another small gravel lot just across the railroad tracks. I learned there's another location in Neptune Beach closer to me. I will be checking out this location soon!

This was only from the experience from one visit as meeting some friends. When I arrived, I was a little peeved because parking was metered or to could hov around and try finding street parking.As we stood in line, I wanted to order in advance but my signal was low and I didn't seem to connect even with wifi.I went for a familiar face with the bagel sandwich but it was so dry and dull. The sandwich was about $7 and the Orange juice was $5. I totally wanted my money back but didn't want to be tacky. The ambiance was nice, but I see nothing to rave about. Coffee needs doctoring up.

The coffee was great and so was the service! I enjoyed seeing that they had a huge seasonal menu, but it also made it harder for me to not order one of everything. They are always very consistent with their coffee and it's always great! Also, a great place to study!

Southern Grounds never disappoints. We have had many dishes here including the pancakes, sausage, eggs, turkey wrap and burger. Everything is always hot and fresh. It tastes natural too. The staff is kind and courteous. Seating is plentiful with inside and out. Location is good they just need better parking. We love to come here often and support them.

Southern grounds in San Marco is my favorite location! Their ourside patio is just so inviting when the weather is good. The service is quick and they are always helpful and friendly. They have my favorite vanilla latte and their pancakes are to die for! We also enjoy their girt bowl! If your in the area you should check them out!

We came here every morning of our week long trip. They have a huge selection of beverages besides just the basic coffee, chai and matcha. They have kombucha, kefir and fresh pressed juices too! Their baked goods are divine and they even have hot omelets and more! Love their matcha lattes iced or hot and they let you adjust your desired sweetness levels. Their regular lattes are so rich and smooth they make Starbucks taste like gas station coffee. Part in the overflow lot and hop across the tracks for a really great cup of coffee and breakfast.

Friendly atmosphere and good service. The meals are always made fresh and healthy choices. Coffee shop that you can grab and go but having a seat and just enjoying is the way to do it.

I'd always heard great things about Southern Grounds and thought it was just a coffee shop, but recently discovered they offer a full menu of food items and is open until 9pm. I haven't tried the food yet since it's on the pricier side, but their Iced Caramel Macchiato with oat milk (less ice) has become my go-to. I've visited seven times over the last couple of months and always get the same drink since the location is close to my work. The coffee is good, but the quality varies--likely because different baristas prepare it each time. One day, I overheard a barista telling another that his secret was mixing the caramel directly into the espresso, which made the drink taste less bold than I prefer for a macchiato.The one downside is the parking situation. There's a narrow strip of spaces right by the cafe, and if those are full, the overflow lot by the train tracks can be inconvenient, especially if you get caught waiting for a train.All in all, Southern Grounds has a nice vibe, and I'm excited to try some of their food soon!
