Sol De Cuba Cafe

Found this quiet cafe looking for Cuban coffee one morning. Inside was dead but was very clean and inviting. Colada was good, not as sweet as most and the price was right. Attractive Latina staff was also a plus. I would come back.

The steak sandwich had Mayo and the steak was full of gristles. Pan con Bistec is mage with thin, palomilla steaks and NEVER with Mayo. The Maduros were coated with something - the minute they cooled a bit, the substance congealed. Real Maduros lose moisture as the cool...not sure what their strategy was. But the worst part - they had Guave Pastry in the menu as well as Guava & (Cream) Cheese. I've always hated the guava and cheese kind but Pastelitos de Guayaba have to be my absolute favorites. They sent me a cigar-shaped pastry that I believe was supposed to have guava and cheese inside but it was so old that there was only the memory of guava paste, the cheese was grey and the pastry was hard as a bat. I threw it away. It was insulting that any business would include something of such low quality in a customer's order. I'm Cuban-born and have patronized every Cuban, hole-in-the-wall place while living in Miami my whole life. Very disappointed. I'm brand new to the area and I was so happy to have found a Cuban café but I won't be visiting anytime soon.

Ordered 2 empanadas, cuban sandwich, rice and pork. Empanadas were put in the microwave to reheat when I heard the microwave button the lady tried to hide it. The cuban sandwich barely had meat and the meat was dry & bland. Same issue with the rice & pork was bland and dry. Spent over $50 for lunch and was not good. Place was clean but that was all that was good about it.

Sol De Cuba Cafe is wonderful! Its spotlessly clean inside and the staff are warm and welcoming. The menu has a lot of great food and beverage offerings.I had the Pork Macitas which were tender and flavorful alongside some very good yellow rice and some okay red beans alongside some really good sweet Plantains. I loved that they served me dome lime wedges to squeeze over my pork and my Plantain s. The lime takes alk to another level! I also had a delicious and beautifully prepared Mamey Batido(fruit pulp shake). My friend had the Piccadillo with Yucca and mixed rice with Black beans which he pronounced delicious!

Oh good largest Cuban sandwich I've ever seen for lunch espresso was delicious they make custom cakes for birthday parties etc. what desserts are super good. Just come out and try this place out and not be sorry Open until 8 PM Monday through Saturday 6 PM on Sunday Open seven days a week from 8 AM until 8 PM except 6 o'clock on Sundays. Definitely come try it

Really, an empanada for 5 bucks? Not worth spending that kinda money for subpar Cuban food,especially for the empanadas!

Love the music, service and set up. Super clean! Food is amazing! Cuban sandwich and Picadillo with white rice, plantains and black beans did not disappoint! If you are in the area check them out and support local!

Spectacularly clean when you walk in Ordered Cuban sandwich and it was 5 stars. Next time I will get extra pickles and mustard, that's just my preference. They were not super fast, which is good in my book, because I know they are preparing it fresh The pork was juicy and plentiful and it was all great.

I eat a lot of Caribbean food. I ordered the onion steak with yellow rice and red beans. The woman did not speak great English. Once the food was ordered and dropped off the woman never came by again, even to give us a check. The food was ok, but not great. The beans and rice needed seasoning. Steak was nothing to write home about. Plantains we're fine. My friend ordered more than I did, but when we checked out our total was the same. We couldn't see the check before we paid. The woman's English wasn't great and she couldn't understand. She wasn't friendly overall, never said thank you, nothing. The Asian store next door had friendlier staff and they weren't working for tips.
