A very welcoming front desk and staff!
There is a lot of functional equipment and space to stretch or just do your own workout.

Just moved to Jax in Jan 2020 right down the street from here. Not going to lie. This place actually was a big deciding factor on where we picked to live in Jacksonville. Although we had never been INSIDE the facility, it looked like a good fit for us through checking it out on Google. When we walked up to snap fitness it had the coolest vibe to it, all brick and trendy. Also, very welcoming, and a neighborhood feel. Well, because that's what it is! It's within a neighborhood. So it doesn't have that "globo gym" feel, which is nice. You're actually a face and not a number here.Judy welcomed us with a smile. She's the owner and incredibly sweet! She showed us around. This gym has EVERYTHING. A cardio section with treads, ellipticals, and bikes. The further back you go are the weight lifting machines and then free weights. There are 5 squat racks (3 cages and 2 fixed) and places to deadlift. 1 leg press, There's also a functional fitness area with everything you could imagine. 2 rowers, 2 assault bikes, kettlebells, ropes, platforms for box jumping etc. This place really has it all. It's really chill most of the day and picks up around the normal times, like any other gym. Ive been coming here usually during the more chill hours since I'm transitioning to a new job. But once Im back in the work force Ill be coming during the busy times. Dreading that, but what can you do. My ONLY gripe with the place is the fact that it is BALLS HOT in there 24/7. Cold outside? Still hot inside. Hot outside? Hot inside (barf). Night time? HOT INSIDE. haha its crazy. You could probably stand there and feel like you got a workout in. Im not quite sure how people do those HIIT classes in there without passing out. But, I'll deal. Because the rest of the gym is super worth it. I just need to remember to bring my towel next time!

Saturday morning, after painting the town red with the bestie, she has us checking out Riverside and getting a morning workout. The building is pretty hard to find if you don't know what you are looking for.I asked one of the trainers before I left and he said that "he thinks" it use to be an old laundry building or part of a chain of businesses. But never would you think such a nice gym would be hidden behind all that old stone. With membership you get this key card thingy that gives you full access 24 hours. Perfect if you are motivated and like to sneak in gym hours away from the crowd. But even on a busy Saturday morning machines free up pretty quickly. Gym seems to be organized by muscle group, so as you work your way around you get a complete body workout. No surprise to find people normally are passed out on the floor where you work out abs. After working up a sweat, get cleaned up in the showers. Facilities are extremely clean and well kept. I was gonna skip the gym showers but I walked out just to learn - I lock my keys in my car. I call up several local locksmith that tell me it will be an hour wait ... might as well go back and work out some more. Never checked out any of the group fitness classes but patrons and staff are always so pleasant.

I think I found my new neighborhood gym! I'm using a free 7-day pass through my boyfriend. They currently have an offer online for 40-days trial for $8.95. This is truly a fabulous little gem of a gym accessible 24-hours to their members. The staff is friendly and it is a no pressure, low-key fitness center with everything one could really need to get a good workout. They have a sufficient amount of machines, free weights, exercise equipment, classes and exercise areas where you are able to create your own circuit according to your own fitness goals. The best part is there are no contracts and you can do month-to-month! The classes here are a la carte, however they are reasonably priced. There is ample street parking and security cameras for those who may go during off hours. The facility is light and bright having high ceilings, exposed brick and a wall of windows facing the street. It's definitely worth checking out! 5 STARS

I guess my prior review was removed at the request of the owner. If you are worried about workout in a gym without others wearing a mask, then this is the place for you. The sign on the front door and an a large sign inside says masks are required, but there are exceptions not stated on the signs. Several people don't wear mask or have the mask pulled down below their nose. When I approached, Judy, one of the owners she said that as long as people were six feet apart no mask was required. The CDC advises that when you are working out or engaged in strenuous activity six feet distance is not enough because a person in those circumstances breathes deeply and the range for droplets is increased beyond 6 feet. The last review a posted the owner stated "at least we are doing something". Does do something make it safe? Then the owner responded by criticizing me because "two customers" told her I did not wipe down a piece of equipment which was false since I did wipe the equipment with antibacterial wipes that I carry. Further, the two customers were on machines within six feet of me and had a mask below their nose. I asked them to cover their noses, which of course they ignored my request. What good are rules, if you don't enforce the rules.

:/ randomly charged my card another $40 for an unauthorized charge to my account. Definitely not the type of company I want having my payment information if they are going to extract money without permission. Poor business ethics.

The type of business to hire managers who jump to conclusions and accuse potential new customers of stealing gym time. The type to scream and verbally assault them in front of the gym and make them cry. Then lie on public review forums to cover themselves without providing context. Also the gym is small, not a lot of new equipment and the staff is nowhere to be found when needed.

I have been going to this gym for the last year and Nate is always there to greet every person that comes in. He does a great job of keeping the place nice and clean as well. I would give 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend this Snap location.

Good luck trying to get help from the gym staff, doesn't exist. Also, outdated equipment and lots of promises to replace/repair, that never happens. Shower/bathrooms that are just dirty. Only gave two stars for the location, which is decent for a small neighborhood gym.
