Smokin Taqueria

The Smokin Taqueria came to my neighborhood last week. The owner and employees were super friendly. This is a newer food truck, and I was happy we could support.I ordered the elote, traditional brisket and smoked chicken tacos, and a Jarritos soda. The elote was my favorite. It smelled and tasted incredible! I wish I would have ordered one more lol. I would love to know the secret to all the different flavors.The smoked chicken was the best taco. The flavor and texture were good. The brisket was a little dry. Next time, I will try one of their specialty tacos. I'm looking forward to trying more menu items in the future.

Really friendly staff. The meats were all wood-smoked. Got the cluck norris and the brisket tacos . They make the salsas from scratch. Be warned though the one in the yellow bottle is ridiculously spicy!! The sides were good portions and reasonably priced, we got the tostones and frijoles. You can definitely fill up on just the sides. The pork belly burnt ends were the absolute star of the show! This is a really cool food truck. The menu is a fusion of southern barbecue and authentic latin tacos. I'd highly recommend checking out the truck.

Friendly and inviting. I had the Cluck Norris and the Old Major, both portions were larger than expected and delicious. I planned to order the Tostones as well but that had run out, I was there near their closing hours, so gives me a reason to come back and try another time, which I will. The protein was well-seasoned and moist, I particularly enjoyed the smoked chicken. The toppings were fresh as well as the tortillas, definitely not from the plastic bag! If you're looking to try a new spot and support a local & independently owned restaurant, definitely give Smokin' Taqueria your business. Appetites' are likes excuses... :)

the food.... sub par, specially for the price you would expect you would get a large meal OR AT LEAST a great tasting culinary experience. ordered two old majors... decent portion of flavorless meat overly loaded on toppings rendering the tortilla useless. the meat box special got the two meats with brisket and pork belly... brisket was stiff as a board and drier than elephant knee caps. pork belly had "dry rub" on it that literally dried all the flavor out of of the six 1inch cubes of pork belly i got in the box with the loneliest piece of thin white bread. the rice tasted like uncle bens Spanish rice that was heated up not to mention you get the tiniest serving of it. how ever after all off that negativity... what saves this truck from a 1 star... is the Brazilian lemonade.... that stuff tasted like it was from the gods!! the elote... that stuff was pretty good. overall i would not recommend it unless you are strictly wanting unique delicious elote and amazing brazilian lemonade.
