Simply Tasty Thai

This place is understated for sure. I drove 40 minutes to meet a few friends here, who had been here before. It's in a strip mall so it's nothing glamorous on the outside. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The owner is also an artist and painted many of the wall hangings. Very nicely done! The food on the other hand, the food was absolutely phenomenal and worth the drive. I've been to Thai places that I cannot have their curry because they add cow milk into their "premade" sauce. This place said all of their curries were done with coconut milk, which I believe is the traditional way :). I had the pumpkin curry, pineapple curry, and Massaman curry. All of them tasted great, but the Massaman was my favorite at the restaurant and as leftovers. I would without a doubt drive back up to eat here again. Yum!!

Simply Tasty Thai is hands-down our favorite Thai/Filipino restaurant in Mayport. My husband and I have been coming here over the last 5 years and it's always been a "Thai-rrific" experience. While it is located a bit further for us from St. Johns, the culinary journey is well worth it! ヽ(*‿*)ノFrom the moment you walk in, the friendly staff (Chef Nancy, Cynthia, Diane, Josh and Tang) all make you feel welcome like old friends on the classic sitcom Cheers catching up. Chef Nancy is the sweetest lady and an incredibly talented cook! She has curated the tastiest menu while also making you feel like you are eating in her kitchen. *:｡ﾟ Every dish we've tried has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it's the perfectly spiced curries, the savory Pad Se-Ew, Pad Thai, Thai Crispy Garlic Jumbo Shrimp, comforting Beef Noodle Soup, Pork BBQ sticks, Chicken Fried Garlic, Filipino Pancit Delight or their amazing Golden Money Bags (similar to Lumpia, my favorite), Filipino Lumpia or Crab Rangoon with curry appetizers, the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail always shines through! *:｡ﾟThe lunch/dinner entrees all have great portions (we leave with 3-4 boxes of leftovers and look forward to each the next day. LOL).The atmosphere is warm, inviting and immaculately clean with beautiful decor all completely in line with the theme, making it perfect for a casual meal or a special night out. The staff are all incredibly attentive, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu. Simply Tasty Thai is (pun intended) simply tasty. If I live closer to Simply Tasty Thai, I likely would be there on a weekly basis. We've only been there a few times but everything we tried had been excellent. We have tried our go-to Thai dish of Yellow Curry with Chicken and really loved the flavor. The Crispy Duck was indeed crispy and delicious. We've also tried several dishes from appetizers, to fried rice to noodles stir fry dishes. Honestly we loved all of it. Our friend introduced us to the Black Bean Sauce under "Nancy's Special". After first bite, I commented to her that it feels like comfort food to me. My mom makes a stir fry of shredded pork and pickled veggie which our entire family loves. We would mix with steamed rice for a very simple but hearty & satisfying meal. This dish, though with different flavor profile, really reminded me of it. As much as I love trying new dishes, I think this one will alway be on my order list when I visit Simply Tasty Thai.

This restaurant is awesome, as I have been here a few times before. I decided go here again last month one day for lunch. There is always plenty of parking here everyday. I decided to just with appetizers this visit. I decided to order roti bread with peanut. Two of my favorites appetizers. The other appetizers I had were eggs rolls and cream cheese wontons with sauce on the side. Their Thai iced tea is amazing as I love Thai iced tea. The service here is always excellent. I really love the ambiance inside this restaurant, as the have Avery cute doll house right as you walk into this restaurant on display. If you're in the beaches area and looking to try Thai food, then I would highly recommend this restaurant. I think you're going to love it.

Checked this place out since it's the closest Asian spot near Mayport, and wow, it didn't disappoint! The food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch. Thai Sampler 2 was a perfect variety of appetizers if you like to try a lil bit of this and that. Our waiter was friendly and attentive , and every dish hit the spot!

The food here is great and authentic! The presentation of the dishes is done with care and detail. The decor is welcoming, traditional, and lots of paintings by the chef adorn the walls, too!I had a lunch special of the green curry and it was just the best portion and flavor. I had it with the Tofu and was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Well done with the full flavor, spice, and I look forward to my next visit to try more of the curries!

I enjoy the food! I usually eat at lunch and the staff are always friendly. I have found it hard to get a table during dinner but have never had an issue with takeout.

They have thai, Filipino, Chinese, etc food! This is seriously the best restaurant I've been to in Jacksonville and you wouldn't think so because of the modest appearance on the outside but soon as you step inside, it's a really nice. Very clean place. I definitely will be coming back here.

ALWAYS AMAZING! This is a great restaurant with an amazing staff and owner. My husband and I were served by Gilbert, this guy loves his job and loves interacting with customers. Nancy truly cares about making quality food and making customers happy. HIGHLY recommend Simply Tasty Thai
