A very chill spot that was originally located in the King Street District and just recently moved into Murray Hill. Their tag line is "A Watering Hole" where you can experience "Social Encounters, Revolving Oddities & Eclectic Salvations, Craft Beer, Luscious Wine, Coffee, Kombucha & Nosh Offerings." And that pretty much sums it up. It's pretty inviting once you step foot inside I promise. It's definitely a multifaceted location with comfortable seating both inside and out. It's not a huge spot, but it's like drinking beer in a hipster dive museum if that makes any sense. They are not 100% up and running as it was only their first day open when I went, but there's a lot of potential. For now, I shot up a bunch of pics for you to enjoy and I look forward to trying out some of the noshes they're promising and a great cup of Joe. Check them out! :)

I stopped in today to check it out and I was really impressed! First of all the decorations are awesome! All kinds of creative and interesting stuff I didn't even know where to look! I was greeted when I walked in and I must admit I was a bit confused on what to do or where to go. Do I just sit down? Is there a menu? Do I go to the back of the store where the counter is? I walked around and looked at stuff before finally walking over to the counter and asking if there was a menu. (There is)There are several coolers with all kinds of beer and wine to choose from. There are a TON of games and a good bit of seating. They also serve coffee and some small snacks. This would be a great place to go with a few friends, grab a beer and play some games. It reminds me of 5 Points Coffee & Spice-if you can remember that! A place to chill out for a while-work on something or just play some games. Definitely check it out!

I had been to the old location off King Street that was much larger, but this location is just as fun. Games are stashed everywhere to encourage patrons to start a game at their table. The wine and craft beer selection is stellar. Snacks are prepackaged for purchase so that eliminates the whole wait staff and you can even order from neighboring restaurants. I heard that you can bring in your own food and just chill ordering drinks (What???!That is so awesome). They only serve beer, wine and cider but that seems to be the perfect amount. I went with the happy hour red and my mom loved the Apple Pie Cider. The first crowd was all male. This seems to be the living room/watering hole for the locals. Music is mellow and you see something new every time you glance around. Even the bathroom is electric and unusual. The owner works the bar and very personable and fun. She seems to know everyone's name and welcomes them with a hug. Clearly, this is the "Cheers" of craft beer. I like the weekly events and I really hope this place takes off. It is unusual and unique. The artist part of me appreciates the quirky aspect. One thing that I haven't seen in other watering holes is that you can buy bottles and cans of beverages right off the shelf or cooler. Enjoy a glass and take a bottle home! What a good idea.

The Silver Cow has arrived....in Murray Hill.Yeah yeah, I went to the original location on King Street, but now it's right around the corner from my house....so I can walk there...YAY!Right on Edgewood is this cute eclectic bar that boasts about their diverse variety of beers for your liking. Along with many beers, they have wine, cocktails, and coffee. If they don't have want you want on tap or in bottles, make a suggestion, as they are still getting to know what to stock the bar with and would love to know what you want to drink. The staff is friendly, and willing to help make you comfy in the new place. They have some bar seating and a few tables and chairs, with plenty of board games to keep you busy for hours! Decorated with deer heads, old framed pictures, and various items, with bookshelves full of glasses, and drinks that you can buy. This place will make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door!Happy Hour M-F 4-7pmI look forward to The Silver Cow being my go to place to visit!Just a side note that they also have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks available. And they allow you to bring outside food in and if you'd like to order they now have a binder full of menus of local restaurants in the area that will deliver. THIS place is shaping up to be my best neighborhood bar!

My MIL and her boyfriend just moved from across town to the Murray Hill area, and she hasn't stopped talking about their local watering holes since. The husband and I decided to make the drive to Jacksonville from Clearwater for his birthday last Friday, and I made sure to hydrate in preparation for a mini-bar crawl. (You can't tell me how awesome these places are and not expect me to stop in for AT LEAST one drink!)The Silver Cow was our third stop, and I think it was my favorite! It's PERFECT for Murray Hill and the hipster crowd. There are games in a bookshelf along one wall, an assortment of coloring and activity books (with markers, colored pencils, and crayons) at several tables, and mini-table top games (like corn hole) on the bar. I honestly didn't know where to look first, because there is something to look at EVERYWHERE! The walls are decorated with signs, mirrors, posters, neon, deer heads, and old beer taps. Aside from the couple of pub tables, there are several chairs and cushions to sit at if you don't fancy a table. Even the bathroom at this place has personality, thanks to the chalk wall and the disco ball. While there is a bar, I think a highlight for me was the fact that there are self-serve freezers like the type you see in convenience stores, stocked with a variety of beers, wines, and finger foods. I was intrigued to find sangria in a can - and then I was delighted, because it was delicious! I've never had sangria in a can, but now I'm more willing to try one when I see it.We were only in the Silver Cow long enough for a couple of drinks, but I'm excited to stop in the next time I'm in town (and maybe add more to this review). This place is somewhere where you could get to know other patrons and really make it part of your routine, as opposed to some random bar where you roll in for a drink or two and leave. The Cow really seems to embody that funky, eclectic Murray Hill vibe.If you're in the area and looking for an interesting spot to chill for a little bit, do try this place! You won't regret it!

Stopped by for a quick drink on way to dinner. Met owner several years ago and kept saying I was going to go. Took me awhile but finally made it. Cute, tucked away private lil place. Enjoyed it. Would def go again. Beer, wine and bar snack foods. Bartender Jonathan was super cute and engaging. Felt very welcomed and enjoyed my time.

The Silver Cow is such a wonderful addition to Murray Hill. They offer beer, wine, craft sodas, coffee, tea, and so much more. Take a second to enjoy the antiques that fill the shop and sip on a unique brew. If you enjoy playing board games, The Silver Cow will not disappoint!
