Shores Liquor & The Roadhouse

New owners have ruined this place. Not only have they closed the kitchen, but two days in a row at peak Buzztime Trivia drinking hours, the lively crowd of regulars that used to fill the bar by noon is nowhere to be found. Some of the bartenders have survived the transition, but the new guy isn't even making an attempt to attract more people. If you make it by here you're allowed to bring your own food and try not to laugh out loud at all these tiny-assed 24-27" TV's you see spotted about. You'll find me at Dee's down the street.

I've been in The Roadhouse a few times. They have a few pool tables and there's usually a live band on the weekends. It's a fun atmosphere with an older crowd. There's also a drive-thru although and I think their prices are higher than some of the other liquor stores in the area. WAY more expensive than Wally World for sure.

Walked into the Roadhouse with very little expectations. Our friend's band was playing a gig on Saturday night and we decided to make the trip out to this Orange Park bar. Surprise to us all, our experience here was actually pretty great! A $5 cover greeted us at the door and none of us had cash. The door guys had no problem informing the bartenders to put it on our tabs. Cool!Roadhouse is spread out along three separate rooms. The main room has the bar, the stage and lots of tables/booths. To the left, you'll find pool tables, jukebox, etc. To the right, bathrooms, more tables and such.I didn't expect to find any craft beer, but they had a local Pinglehead beer, Intuition, and some other offerings from Sierra Nevada, Dogfish Head and Sweetwater. I'll take it!Service was attentive all night. There's live music every weekend too, so swing by to check out a great local act. I've got to try my hand at the food menu next time. For a dive bar in the outskirts of town, job well done!

I came here for a quick bite because I had a coupon from my Verizon rewards to get a free sandwhich with purchase of another sandwhich.I got a grilled cheese with pesto and tomato. I thought the flavor profile was good, though a touch greasy. I still put down the whole sandwhich with delicious chips to give it a good crunch. I was disappointed they didn't not provide a free pickle. The music was mid to early 2000's hipster which was nice. I saw '80s nights advertised while I was there which gives me a good incentive to check this place out again without the coupon.

This is such a fun spot to hang out. It's been here as long as I can remember. Great people on both sides of the bar. Chelsey is a Super Bartender. She makes you feel right at home. Give it a try the next time you are looking for something different than your normal.

I visited the Roadhouse because it's close and we wanted to have a few beers out of the house. The place is fairly large and there is a decent amount of seating, though I have seen it on a busy Friday night and it fills up fast. The interior is old. I mean ancient. It's probably not been freshened up since the early 90s. There's even a burned panel of wood in the back corner that looks like an electrical fire started there. Shhhhh. I don't think the fire inspectors have seen it yet. The locals are quite a crew of misfits. Ranging from the older slowed down rockers of Lynyrd Skynyrd days to the twenty somethings that just want a cheap beer and a decent pool table. The Roadhouse customers vary widely. The regulars do not. They make me laugh with their ridiculous conversations, and at times, drama. But this is an old pool hall so it's expected. The real reason for the review is the staff. They are very warm and friendly. Going out of their ways to make sure their customers are doing well. They do it in a genuine way which makes a big difference to me. They have a large selection of draft and bottled as well as liquor. Stella on draft keeps me there. Stop by with no expectations like I did and shoot some pool or throw darts. The music is not too loud (as long as you aren't sitting by the speakers) and they play XM on customers request. In my case the server read me like a book and played my favorite music without asking me what I liked.

A very Divey bar feel to it, you get the feeling you are hanging with the locals. Nothing to fancy about this place, they offer live music and cheap drinks. They also have outdoor seating outside, dart boards and a pool table. I do like to add I thought it was interesting seeing that they put insulation foam pretty thick on the ceiling kind of neat. Suggestions- Bring cash for the cover charge. Moose out

I used to come here years ago, when it was the original owners. The place has pretty much gone to ship now yes they have nice granite at the bar area but all the pool tables the lights are blown out and the staff tells you they cannot help you. Then this evening I went in there for the first time in a long time they told me they were waiting on the company to fix them that's perfectly fine but when I went to cash out somebody bumped into me and I said oh I'm sorry excuse me and he said yeah you're right excuse me I said something to the bar staff and they did nothing about it. Then I was assaulted some guy ran up and smacked me on the butt very hard and then his brother proceeded to confront me like I did something wrong and punched me in the face the staff did nothing about it did not even call the police actually they asked me to pay my tab and leave when I did nothing wrong I will not be going back to this place they are worried about nothing but liquor sales and don't worry about the crowd they have in there it's pretty sad I used to love to come to this place...

Roadhouse is one of my GO TO spots...Pool tables, darts, music, and great drink specials...Love the bartenders...Rodney is the MAN!!!
