Shipley Do-Nuts

The last time we were at a Shipley Do-Nuts were in Houston, TX. The donuts we had during that time were really good. Today we saw a Shipley Don-Nuts while we were on the other side of town and decided to get some. * Today I had the chocolate glazed donut. In my opinion it was just OK. The chocolate was good but the donut it self didn't really much taste other than dough. * My wife had the Blueberry Cake donut. She said it was good. I think these donuts at this location in Jax weren't the same when we had them in TX. Just a little disappointed. Maybe the problem was the time of day we were there. We arrived at 2pm and not a very big selection to choose from because they were out of a lot of varieties. The staff were super friendly! The shop was clean.

This was always great, so hard to compare the others.Kolaches, good. Warm, soft bread, good flavor inside. Ordered the bold sausage and cheese with jalapeño, the bold sausage and cheese, and the ham and cheese. They are large, we cut them up for all to try and snack on.Donuts, good. Ordered 6 glazed, half plain and half chocolate. The chocolate doesn't really have a strong chocolate flavor unfortunately.

Great classic donut shop! We grabbed donuts at around 2pm on a weekday and they were still super fresh & soft. The worker was kind and I love that they have a drive-thru. Would definitely come back!Our favs in order:Maple IcedStrawberry IcedLemon Filled

We ordered several donuts and an apple fritter. All of the donuts were tough and dry tasting. The apple fritter was the worst that I have had. Might have been a bad day in the kitchen. The staff was friendly and there was a nice assortment of items to choose from.

You must get multiple kolaches. So warm and savory and delicious!! You will want more for later. These things are pure bliss. Another must is the Bavarian cream filled bar.So fresh and so delicious. So many great choices and each is better than the last. The Apple fritters are a meal in themselves!!

The best donuts in Jacksonville. The workers and service is always so fast and so friendly. We love going on game days and getting the teal donuts, and the cinnamon twists every other day! 10/10 cannot recommend enough.

There is a wide selection of donuts, raised, cake, with specialties with giant bear claws and apple fritters, as well as kolaches.I picked up a half dozen plus an apple fritter and a filled to order chocolate long john with vanilla cream.Their cake donuts stood out to me, moist and pleasantly sweet, while their topped raised donuts were good, but a little too sweet for my taste. In particular, their chocolate frosting is incredibly sweet, but if that's your thing, you'll love that kind of donut here.The apple fritter is absolutely huge and was pretty good, albeit a little dry. Still, I'd prefer a fritter that's a tad dry to an undercooked fritter any day (which I've sadly experienced a few times from some local shops).I spent about $15 on a half dozen, a fritter, and the filled long john and fed three hungry people with plenty of leftovers. If you're a cake donut fan, they are definitely worth a shot.

I've never been to this place, but been wanting to try it. Went with my nephews to get 1/2dz. We ate it and decided to get 1 1/2 dz more to go. We thought it was really good.The place looked very clean, a bit cold but a great place to pick up doughnuts and go. The service was good. Both workers were friendly and had huge smiles. We would definitely come back

Donuts aren't that great but they weren't too expensive. Needs to be warmer or fresher in my opinion. Cool setting though.

Fresh doughnuts everyday. I love the filled doughnuts. Never any lines to wait in and the people that work there are very pleasant.
