Shanghai Nobby's

Love this place. By far, the best dive bar in all of St Augustine. They have Salsa Dancing there now on certain Fridays with Salsa Movement hosting it!

Family owned, good people, great bands and a heavy pour. Nobbys is definitely where you feel at home

Yesssss! A really cool bar between the beaches and downtown. My wife and I went on kind of a whim to see some bands we didn't know that much about and had a great time. It's a bit of a "locals only" vibe but that doesn't bother me. It is small. Really small. Bar area. Pool table area and band space with a small floor. Draft beer was very good. Had some sours and IPAs on draft. Very small crowd. Service was OK at the bar. Really good live music, which they have pretty much every weekend. We had fun and will be back. What I really loved about this place is I was double charged for our beers. I decided to call the Monday after not expecting much. I called about 3 hours before they opened not thinking anyone would even pick up. The guy I spoke to was awesome and couldn't find the charges but said he would keep looking. Sure enough, a couple of days later the charges were removed. That's how you maintain good customers. He could have just blown me off, but now we will go back for sure.

Went to check out a show and the atmosphere and crowd were cool. The only buzzkill were the bartenders that were rude to me and a number of my friends. Aside from that it's a cool place to come check out a show.

The best bar in the world. Is it a sports tavern? No. Will they have your game on? Definitely Not.If you're looking for another cliché bar that is tourist friendly with the same Sublime and Jimmy Buffet songs playing over and over again, go back over the Bridge of Lions. But, if you're looking for a place to sing your heart out to karaoke, dance to a punk band, or make new friends that you'll have for the rest of your life then Nobby's is the place to go.

Dear Nobby's...I came with the biggest open heart.A local recommended the place and I decided to check it out.I came by in the summer too early in the day, so I could not make a fair assessment then.Tonight, I read reviews for fun, the 1 star review dude came across as a total douche, so I came in ready to write an excellent review!As I walked in I got a bit of a "you're not from around here" vibes, but who cares right?The service is slow, specially if you're not a regular.They are here for the locals.They serve food... I would not venture.The bar is cute, with a rock and roll dive feel. That I liked.This place is perfect to get totally drunk and party late night. Which is awesome, but I am an early bird. At Nobby's this does not mean I get the worm!**Beware of Doubles! You're better off getting 2 singles**

Picked up some food from Funkadelic Food Truck who share the lot with Nobbys. As always, their food is so tasty..and BONUS! I can now grab a cold beer while enjoying my meal! Super nice staff and owners. Perfect spot to chill before taking a hike over the bridge of lions to visit historic St Aug.

Best bartender ever! Come see Rose and have a Vegas Bomb and more and more and more. Yelp told me my review was too short. Whatever, come see Rose!

The only bar in town my mom feels safe and at home in. We're all friends here - leave the bad attitudes at the door cause they won't serve you well. Nobby's is one of the only remaining authentic DIY venues in St. Augustine - the comradery is real! Come here for real bands (not your average cover acts) and stiff (I mean STIFF) drinks. Be nice! Listen to music! Do karaoke! Have fun! And be cool to people!

The best dive in Saint Augustine and epicenter of the local music scene. Some nights are punk rock, some nights are folky, and often the best country/rock n roll band in the world plays there...the Rivernecks. Everyone is welcome at Nobby's. Punks, suits, old, young, gay, straight, rednecks, hippies, tourists, as long as you are respectful. Except ISIS. ISIS would get their ass kicked at Nobby's.
