This is my new favorite restaurant in Jacksonville! The curry puff melts in your mouth. I wanted to eat 10 more. Tom Kha was divine. The owners are sooo lovely and obviously so devoted to their vision. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. Looking forward to treating family & friends as well!. If you are looking for the REAL DEAL. Look no further...Thank you, Senyai!!!

I want to start off my review by saying that I feel so silly for not realizing that Senyai was here until now. I legit thought they were a new restaurant. I've worked in this area of town for a good two years and have frequented 5 Points for over 20. I'm going to blame it on running between multiple jobs while simultaneously working on my Master's degree. In any case, I saw a friend post about them on Instagram last week and when some other friends were looking for a place to grab lunch, I suggested Senyai since we all love us some Thai food. That and because I've been trying to find a nearby place to grab some Tom Yum Soup since Hawkers rudely took theirs off the menu. Both of my friends and I loved our visit here. We got three apps - Pork Gyoza, Spring Rolls, and Baby Bok Choy. I could eat the Baby Bok Choy for daysssssss. So tasty. I probably went a little overboard by ordering both Tom Yum Soup and Thai Basil Rice with Chicken, but for me, having the rice dish always helps balance the spicyness of the soup. I wish they cooked their protein in with it, but I understand wanting to give choices on the menu. We were so full that we did not have room for dessert, so that will have to happen on a future visit as I know we'll be back.

The choices offered are exceptionally delicious. I ordered the green curry. Fabulous! The best green curry I've tasted in a long while as it is a fresh authentic taste with a small amount of heat!My heat tooth isn't what it used to be due to ulcers. In any event the menus here is very good! The clientele are serious Thai food officionodosHere who enjoy the real deal! Most restaurants hate it when one comes alone for dinner. I'll admit I have come a time or two alone with a book to dinner. Usually most restaurants frown on this! But anything goes here at Senyai! I have brought a friend or three and introduced them to the new management, usually at lunch, however!Again, cannot say a discouraging word about this authentic restaurant!! Senyai!!

So happy to see that the new owners of the previous Aroi Thai are doing well and still in business! I had the pleasure of trying Senyai when they first opened a year ago and have come back countless times. Senyai is my favorite Thai restaurant by far. The flavors are spot on, the spice levels are perfect for those who can handle it, and the service is always great. They have a spice scale of 1-3 which can definitely be daunting. We usually go with spice level 3 for the rice dishes and 2 for everything else, which is plenty spicy. I wish they did a 1-5 spice scale so that it's more clear for the customer. I can imagine someone getting a 2 and not being able to handle the heat. Som Tum and Pad Sie ew are a must every time we eat here. Basil fried rice was also great. If you're going to dine in, I would get the crispy bok choy

Highly recommend trying this spot - with all the shining reviews, I don't know why this place wasn't busier. We were immediately greeted and seated to look over the menu. We started with the spring rolls which were really the only downfall of the meal - they were a bit too fried and didn't taste fresh. Otherwise, everything was great. We had the fried rice and pad thai and enjoyed both so much that our plates were empty by the end of the meal. Their spicy sauces were fantastic and tasted fresh and homemade.

Senyai delivers as promised: authentic Thai food in a friendly and casual setting. The food is very good, and those who appreciate authentic Thai cuisine will enjoy its complex flavors. The hostess was extremely friendly, and was happy to accommodate any special request. I am a big fan of Laab, and she was happy to provide a larger portion as a main rather than a starter size. I had it with pork and was very happy. The ground pork was nicely blended with what I assume to be broken rice, and was in a delicious multilayered sauce comprised of lime juice, lemongrass, and many other fresh herbs and chilis. It was bright, complex, and pleasantly spicy. My wife ordered pork in a masaman curry, which was also complex with so many incredible flavors. I very much look forward to returning to try more dishes.

Me and my family love Senyai! They're like a riverside hidden gem. From the wonderful service to the cozy ambiance we're sold. We've gone back several times and will continue to go. If you're looking for a wonderful dining experience look no further than Senyai. The crab ragoon is my favorite menu item and the Thai tea with coconut milk instead .. so good.

My husband and I visited Thailand 2 years ago and absolutely fell in love the food, culture and people. Since being back, we have struggled to find Thai food that is just as delicious and authentic. Senyai is the full package. Kind, caring people who expertly serve the most authentic and delicious Thai food. We seriously felt like we were back in Thailand. Everything is made from scratch in house. Jax is so lucky to have a restaurant this authentic! I cannot recommend them enough.

ripoff, food was bland and they skimped on the food in every way possible, but not on the bill. measly describes it. also not authentic, not Thai. source: me. i eat thai on a weekly basis, sometimes more than once a week. thank god I didn't take a crowd there. I would've been so embarrassed.
