Sakura Buffet

Affordable buffet, large selection of foods, and attentive service. Great for groups, as there's something for everybody. I would dine here again! We came on a Sunday, so it was very busy, but we were sat right away. The restaurant is spacious, with two dining areas, so there's plenty of tables. What I loved about this place is that they have a sushi bar and hibachi grilling area, where they cook your chosen raw items in front of you. I suggest bringing a couple of dollars to tip the sushi and hibachi cooks if you choose those stations. There's plenty to choose from in this buffet, from savory choices like clam, mussel, shrimp, fish, chicken, pasta, pizza, salad and soup, to sweet treats like fruit, pudding, cookies, pie and ice cream. Flavor-wise, the hibachi steak and noodles with veggies I got were my favorite. I'd come back just for a couple rounds of that!Next best thing was the sushi. It was light and fresh. The guy was making more rolls when I got to the sushi bar. They make sure to keep it stocked. Some of the less tasty items were the pizza and cake. I did have a slice of warm apple pie and a fried donut, which were delicious! Our server was very attentive and came by several times throughout our meal to clear the table of old plates and refill our drinks. I always appreciate attentive service! All-in-all, this place is a good choice if you're looking for affordability and a variety of options.

If Sakura Buffet was a boxer, it would be one of the best "pound for pound" buffets out there. Food is always hot and stacked. Plentiful choices. Once you walk inside, all you see are buffet islands of foods. So choose carefully.I've never had one bad experience when coming or eating here. One of my favorite AYCE places.

Very large buffet area, nice selection of sushi and has a hibachi area. My family and I visit when we don't really know what to eat but are hungry. Staff at sushi bar and hibachi aren't always approachable, I've had to ask them to refresh some items and I've been brushed off,given the wrong answer or my favorite pointed in a general direction left to figure it out on my own. They have a large seating area so large parties shouldn't be a problem. Overall an okay place to eat.

The service was great, the buffet price was good, and the food was good but all of the food was warm which is unfortunate.

Their hibachi style cook to order is always clean fresh and delicious. Service was great and place is clean overall. Good fix for a quick meal!

I've been craving a Chinese buffet. Since COVID started a lot of them have closed or the quality has not been good.I got to the restaurant at 11:20 hoping to get the freshest food.I thought I would give Sakura a try based upon a recommendation from a friend. But this was a big disappointment. The hot food was only warm and the cold food was warm.I tried a lot of different dishes and only a couple of them were decent - fried wontons and dumplings were both good.The have several American dishes that I have not see at other Chinese resturants - pork chops, fried fish, polish sausage, Mac n cheese and fries.Some comments on other items I tried:Terrayaki and Bourbon Chicken - only at room temp despite being on a steam table (and yes I stirred it to get what was on the bottom)Sweet and sour chicken - over cooked and mostly breadingSesame chicken - unable to chewChicken on a Stick - overcooked

The food was below par. I didn't have many expectations for the newer restaurant on the block opposed to their competition on Atlantic blvd. upon entering it didn't take very long for us to be greeted and seated. It was a bit bleak in the restaurant. Also had a sort of every ambience to it. I hoped for a little better and didn't even want to finish the small bit of food I got. Everything tasted as if it were cooked 2 months ago and had this fishy aftertaste. The only somewhat fresh food was available at the bar held by a few employees that I'd give maybe a 2/5. Even the noodles at the bar were charred and stiff. As far as my personal ratings go, I would not return, nor recommend to anyone else. Food: 2/10Service: 6/10, the employees seemed to be trying. I feel it could use slightly better management.Ambience in the restaurant receives a 3/10. Maybe things are better during the daylight, but the night shift isn't it.

Servers ask for tips tips are earned the food is dry and bland never get any refills cups are dirty

Workers were nice, but all the people were trashy and food was just not good i would've rather went to a more expensive spot to not deal with any of that

Take the advice of ALL the 1-star reviews! I promise you, it's not worth your money. Nearly all the food on the buffet looks as if it's been sitting there all day. Some don't even look safe to eat and I was hesitant to eat it. However, I tried the things that appears fresher and not to my surprise, it was bad. It wasn't fresh and the meat was dry! The ONLY thing that was good was the sushi. I should've tried the grill and made my own concoction, but I wasn't sure what sauce they use. It's not like Mongolian where you choose the sauce you want.Oh, and as I figured it would, it gave me upset stomach and put me on the toilet!If you want a better Chinese buffet, go to the one at 9400 Atlantic Blvd. it's much much better.
