Food was good chicken was juicy and tender rice was soft and pillowy too great service the guy at the front was nice too

After flying all morning, my son and I were hungry, and chose Jamaican! Very good choice. I ordered a medium meal with jetk chicken and my son ordered goat. This was by far the best Jamaican food I've eaten in the US. I have added this to my favorites collection, and every time I am in Jacksonville, I will stop here and eat. It was $11.00 for each meal, and the person at the register even gave us drinks at no charge. Just a small place, but they were plenty busy and the portions are huge. I could eat 2-3 meals from the medium size. Great value and very tasty. Everything is made to order, spice level and sides and rice. You can smell the grills when pulling up. You have to eat here if you like Jamaican food. You will love it!

Last night's meal was from Royale Cafe near downtown Jacksonville. This hidden gem has killer Caribbean food that has just the perfect amount of spice even the wimpy tastebuds out there. When I seen they were serving up a Jerk Beef Stew as yesterday's special, my mind was set on my dinner plans.If you live or work nearby and have a craving for Caribbean, please do yourself a favor and stop in and don't forget to tell them Big Rich sent ya!

Tasty authentic Jamaican food, plus hearty filling breakfast and comfort food classics.The Cowboy Bowl with bacon, grits, scrambled eggs simmered onion, bell pepper and mushroom is exceptional. The Crab Meat, Shrimp, Cheese, Spinach and Onion big breakfast omelette is yummy.Salmon salad lunch, Shrimp Curry served with two sides for dinner.... great eating !

This local restaurant surprised me. My bf brought me here because his co-worker recommended it. So we decided to check this place out. We ordered goat and jerk chicken. The lady who served the food was very friendly. I think she is the owner, but I'm not sure. What really surprised me was the food here. The goat and jerk chicken are both amazing and delicious. I love it. The goat is very tender and the chicken is juicy. Will definitely come back when I visit Florida next time. Highly recommended.

Although I enjoy the food, the hours of operation are not consistent. Tonight I arrived at 8:15pm to get a dinner and they were closed even though there hours of operation online display as Monday thru Saturday 7am-9pm. I called prior to arriving and got no answer, but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Previously I arrived on a weekday morning at 10:00am and was told that they'd be opening at 11:00am by a man inside. I waited for that hour because I wanted those plantains. The problem was I got off at 6:39am and had already wasted time to give them a chance to open. That's not business or very professional. They caused me to be off schedule for the next 3 days.

Look, I am done spending my money in these types of establishments. I should've known better based on the physical appearance of the place. Very untidy. I ordered the Callaloo with rice which wasn't too bad. The rice was bland and I tasted none of the typical seasoning: thyme, seasoned salt, coconut milk. It may have been there, but you can't taste any of it. We also had the jerk chicken. It was ok and very small portions. They need to thoroughly clean the place before I would even consider setting foot back there.

3 times over the past 3 weeks they have canceled my order via door dash. I have yet to try them, but I will say one thing they lost me as a customer before they even had me. That includes my family. Will not be placing another order again just to wait 20-30 minutes and have it canceled. Terrible.

Good deals at lunch and outstanding jerk. This place has awesome jerk chicken and they have a food truck too. I liked the snapper, oxtail, curry chicken, jerk chicken, and brown stew chicken. Each dish is made traditionally and tastes just like the islands.. They are a hidden gem in the westside hood. Pretty blue building, look for it!
