My #1 place to go for dinner in Jacksonville. You have to get the oysters, the octopus, and the tuna! So good! All of the food is tapas style small plates, it's a very laid back atmosphere and you get retail priced wines! You can't beat it! The service is great- they have deep knowledge of wine and know what to suggest based upon your likes!

Down and Dirty: wonderful and relaxing atmosphere with delish food and friendly service. Service: all of the staff worked well together to ensure a relaxing and efficient meal. Great recommendations and friendly service. Food: everything was excellent. We ordered several tapas and finished everything. The chili seared Ahi Tuna was my least favorite. The green sauce overpowered the dish but the tuna was cooked well. Everything else was equally delicious. Price: I came for a birthday celebration but I probably wouldn't come for an every day meal. It was a little pricey for small plates but everything was fresh with a wonderful and unique flavor so it is worth the price every once and a while.

I'm in between 3 and 4 stars honestly. The service was quick and efficient, but I wouldn't really say friendly. I told the bartender it was our first time in and we were excited and he just kind of looked at me. $6 happy hour Pinot Grigio was good and my husband loved the apple hard cider he had. The octopus was my least favorite octopus we've ever had. It didn't taste fresh and had weird accompaniments. The bone marrow was delicious but a little overcooked. I loved the burger sliders, my husband thought they were just ok. It was fun to be able to buy wine while in the restaurant to take home. We spent over a hundred dollars and still left hungry. I'm glad we tried it, but wouldn't rush back.

Royal Palm Village is a hidden gem in Atlantic Beach. Not only was the food amazing, but they also had wine bottle prices cheaper than nearby grocery stores. And service was impeccable. And, if you are looking for artwork, you can purchase local artistry hanging all over the restaurant. We were greeted immediately after walking through the door and given the option to sit wherever we wished. We chose a high top table near the bar. The wine choices were endless. And if wine isn't your thing, there was a cooler full of alternatives. My friend chose a pinot noir from Santa Barbara, CA. It was bold yet sweet. We started off with hickory smoked octopus served with paprika potatoes, applewood laridons and garden herb gremolat. This dish was fabulous! I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life. The octopus was juicy, tender and I loved the smokey flavor. Next came the James River broiled Chesapeake Bay, VA oysters. Yummy! The perfect blend of seasonings made me want to order another half dozen. I appreciated how they brought out one dish at a time. This allowed our food to stay warm.Next, we had a board filled with cheese, meat, honey and two house made preserves, which were fabulous. Last, I ordered the flatbread special with roasted red pepper, jalapeno spread, capicola, roasted farm vegetables, baby kale and asiago. This combination was deliscious. I could taste all the ingredients in each bite. And I can't forget dessert. We were served three dark chocolate and bacon truffles made with New Mexico red chile, smoked sea salt with whipped salted caramel. YES please! It was super rich and decadent. The whipped caramel helped to balance the rich chocolate perfectly. Moral of this review, get over to Royal Palms soon. Your taste buds will thank you! And so will the friends you invite;)

This place is as good as I remembered, probably better now! The last time I visited was back in 2018 and I am so glad we decided to stop by last night. The restaurant is super open and there are lots of seating, they also have a wine shop and sell cans of beer and seltzers, etc. you can pick up a bottle of wine, retail price (very affordable selection) and have it with your dinner with no added corkage fee. That is amazing! Our waiter was very nice, super friendly and very informative. He made a couple of recommendations and I'm so glad we listed to him. The food was outstanding, had the broiled oyster, grilled octopus (to die for) the flatbread and a charcuterie board, plus a couple of bottles of wine, omg what else can anyone ask for. Run to royal palms, this place is truly a Gem and I can't wait to go back!

Visit Details: large party, 20+ people. Arrived at 6:30, party platters were already ready and staff did a good job of checking in considering the restaurant was SLAMMED by the time we left around 8:30. Menu language was a little intimidating for a non-foodie, but the food was all top quality - there were zero complaints from the entire party on taste. Being tapas or "small plates," you may want more than 1 per person to fill up, as portions are on the smaller side even though they are meant to be shared. They boast a large offering of craft beer and wine but have VERY limited non alcoholic options. Our party was tucked in a back corner, but the restaurant itself was fairly loud and made it difficult to talk at regular volume. Summary: would returnPrice: $$Location: 3/5Service: 4/5Menu: 5/5Rating: 4.5/5Follow on FB or Insta for more details Foodie Xperiences

I recently reunited with a dear friend for a great dinner here. The company was totally matched by the delicious food and wine we enjoyed. She enjoyed a glass of the house-made red sangria and I loved the white blend (grenache blanc / viognier) that I chose. We ordered four plates to share & the servers did an outstanding job of pacing when the items arrived to the table. We started with the delicious roasted brussel sprouts w/crispy proscuitto & blue cheese and the Spanish-style shrimp and chorizo. We also enjoyed the angus ground beef sliders with Nueske's bacon & goat cheese, and my favorite dish of the evening- mac and cheese made with a Wainwright Dairy chipotle mornay and Nueske's bacon crumbles. It was so creamy, rich, & totally scrumptious that my mouth is watering right now just thinking about it again.

Food was okay, but not the service. We had the croquettes, the bone marrow, the octopus and the jerk chicken. This last one was over cooked and dry. The octopus and the bone marrow were excellent. We sat by the bar and our server, Gerry, was not friendly at all. I felt as if he was not happy to take our order. This is a tapas place, obviously you'll place more than one order but not at the same time. The young bartender was very friendly, nice and helpful. If we give this place another chance we hope we don't get him as a server.
