Roaming Ronin

Food Trucks at the campground is almost always a big hit, this seems to be part of the amenities at St. Augustine RV Resort where they partner with the passionate chefs and entrepreneurs like Roaming Ronin - we received a few text announcing these guys would be onsite outside the clubhouse which allowed all the campers an opportunity to cancel their dinner plans and do what campers do best which is to relax.The menu has a little for everyone and like me most who were lined up struggled to choose - we decided on the drunken wings and fries with two orders of fried gyoza but honestly I was on the fence even after I placed my order thinking "did I order enough" believe me there was plenty of food for the two of us. I requested the wings extra crispy and before he made my order he pulled a wing from the fryer and gave me a peek to ensure they were crispy enough before tossing them. The fried gyoza were so delicious I probably could of eaten another order maybe I should of tried them steamed to get the total experience. I thought the prices were reasonable and the service exceptional- I definitely hope to run into these guys again during my travels...

We tried this food truck at our apartment complex and really loved it! We had it on our radar a few weeks prior, but the food truck was canceled that night. I'm glad they came back so we could check it out. I loved that our apartment sent out a link with info about the food truck and we could order online and pick it up. The truck was parked across the street from our balcony, and we could literally smell the food wafting over to our building. We ordered immediately! The menu was small, but I see they have other things from other reviews and photos. I'm assuming the menu always changes. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and once I saw the portion, I couldn't believe it was $12. I ate all the shrimp and literally 1/4 of the rice. I ate this rice 3 other times! Lol! It was huge. The eggroll was so good and had lots of veggies stuffed inside. My boyfriend loved the chicken teriyaki and his portion was also huge. We both had a lot of leftovers. The prices were reasonable and I got a text when our order was ready. I hope they have noodles next time! I will definitely try this truck again.

Mannnn.....this food truck was bomb.Our community asked this food truck to come out for Food Truck Thursday and posted their menu on FaceBook. OMG they got Onigiri????? I was over there an hour before they closed.I got two of their Salmon Onigiri (seasoned rice ball with freshly seared salmon stuffed inside with seasoned nori) and the Salmon Poke Bowl (seared salmon over rice topped with red peppers, shredded carrots, pickled daikon radish, spicy cucumbers, sliced avocado, yum yum sauce, and eel sauce, green onion and sesame seeds on top). There was only one person that I could see working on the truck which happened to be the chef. He was very polite and made each order while taking order carefully and efficiently. I thanked him and headed home.The onigiri was for myself as that was all I wanted and the poke bowl was for my man. He loved the poke bowl saying that it was one of the best tasting ones he's ever had. I've never had a cooked salmon poke bowl but the presentation was nice. The rice balls were delicious. I was expecting them to be more triangular-shaped but what it lacked in shape it sure did make up in taste. Them thangs were good.I hope them come back to our area because I'd definitely would pay them a visit again!

Food is on point.... haven't been stationed in Japan in a long time but boy did his food spark up some memories. can not recommend it enough. thanks.
