Geese are pretty tame here, but will nip a finger if you aren't careful.

Riverside Park is a cute lil area with a big playground, walkways, and even a fountain + pond where you can find ducks! We were staying in the area that was just a walk from here and found ourselves strolling through here every morning going to the local coffee spot. This park is a great place to walk around, play, or relax at. My friends and I even got to play around at the playground which was fun for both kids and adults, alike. A cute park in the Riverside area!

This park is a lot of fun but dated. A lot of homeless people camp out here. They are always setting up their spots when we come in the evening around 630. We love the duck pond. My son loves to ride his bike or scooter along the paved walking trail that winds throughout the park. The basketball court is old but clean. The dog park is nice. I just wish the small dog park had similar equipment as the big dog park. There are benches placed around the playground and the center of the park as well as by the basketball court. There are also a couple of picnic tables by the playground.

A real community asset... Riverside Park! It has been here forever too, right in the heart of Riverside near all the restaurants/activities. People stroll thru the park, bring kids to the extensive playground, feed the ducks on the pond, etc. THEN the park is used for different shows..today the Veggie Fest is here till 4 pm., so there is all kinds of healthy food vendors, yoga info, natural clothing, herbs/teas, organic farms, natural ice cream, fruit smoothies, natural cosmetics, Gourds...lol!

Who doesn't love a good walk though a park? This park is situated adjacent to Five-Points and has and impressive fountain and pond. They also have a good size playground and several paths going every direction throughout the park. The downside for me was the litter and I always feel bad for homeless- which there were several I passed. I was by myself which made for a more brisk walk. They birds that congregate on the pond are fantastic. The childrens' laughter from the playground musical. Had my hubby been with me, I probably would have enjoyed it a bit more. I love 5 points- so I am sure I will get to explore this little treasure again.

I was early for my mani/pedi appointment at Parisian, so I stopped here just to sit and relax for a few minutes. Very peaceful park. Perfect for young children on up to older adults to relax and enjoy.

Riverside Park (aka "The Duck Pond") is one of my favorite places in my neighborhood. There is the "new and improved" pond, with geese & ducks, a lovely children's playground, lots of benches, picnic tables, and gorgeous old trees. If you walk around the park, towards the "back side" (closest to the merger of I-10 and I-95), you will find a rose garden and camellias. When they bloom in the spring, it is a tiny bit of heaven back there. There are also some giant oaks that harken back to the old days when Riverside Park was almost as big as Riverside itself and the pond was actually a lake with foot bridges crossing it.There are many events held here, from private birthday parties to art shows and the most recent, NE FL Veggie Fest. This is also a great place for a picnic date. If you don't cook, 5 Points is directly across the street, and Publix is just a couple of blocks away. For the naysayers who complain about homeless in public parks? Show me a park in Jacksonville that doesn't have homeless and I'll show you a park in a gated/guarded community. It is an unfortunate fact of life, and in the 13 years I have lived here and gone to this park, I have never been bothered...

When one is out and about, attempting to fulfill life's obligations, a nice respite is going to the park. It's also a good way to let the kiddos run around unencumbered. Riverside Park let's me do that. On the cool Sunday that we were there, the kids were able to play on the nicely kept playground. There are two size playgrounds to choose from, depending on how much attention one's Rugrats need. If one wants to walk around, there is also a walking path with sufficient shade. The ducks on the pond are interesting to watch. Benches are available around the playground so parents can just sit and watch and try to relax.I especially like the park's proximity to Riverside's 5 Points area. So after eating, shopping, sipping craft beers, and people watching, it is a pleasant way to rest a spell and hopefully wear out the kids.

A park off Park St right off I-95. It's a nice park with a duck fountain, big old trees and a play grounds for the younger kids. Kids were disappointed because there weren't any Pokémon things around so they didn't want to stay. Looks like a good park to walk off a large meal from some of the great local restaurants. It seemed safe during the day. I hadn't been there at night to see if it's safe there or not.
