This is my favorite place in Jacksonville. I walk/run here almost every morning and it never gets old. Usually it is pretty empty at 9 am. I love looking out and I especially get excited when I see dolphins! The river is right off the main San Marco Blvd and can be easily walked to from the main little part of town. It is also arguably the best spot in town to watch the sunset. The sun sets RIGHT over the river and it is always a great sight. People bring folding chairs and blankets to sit and watch. I've seen people bring V Pizza to eat while looking out at the river, and I need to keep that in mind for next time lol! Note that there is no designated parking or benches. There is a crosswalk with a ramp up to the walk way, so this is handicap accessible. Don't miss this beautiful spot in San Marco.

Being 1 year in Florida I'm always looking for a new spot with a water view. You have 2 different trails to choose from beginner and intermediate. I feel like this is a great place to go maybe for a casual walk. I did see some folks getting ready to put a kayak in the water, some were fishing off the pier. I was happy to see there was a clean restroom as well . Nature is good for the soul , give this park a visit

I go to this place when I want to enjoy a beautiful sunset. It's very relaxing. It's just a strip of grass with some benches but the view is breath taking.

I love stopping by Riverfront Park when I am in San Marco. It really is nothing more but a strip of grass, but it does offer some very beautiful views of the St. John's River, the bridges and Downtown Jacksonville. You can see the Riverside directly across from you, along with the Ortega area farther down the river. The sunset views are quite lovely and it's fun to sit or walk along the seawall. It can get very windy and chilly in this spot, even during warmer months.
