Red Frog & McToad's Grub n Pub

Our second stop on Tajuana and Dabbs date day. Red Frog Mctoad's. This is a cool-looking pub. The atmosphere fits the name grub-pub. T ordered the lobster, shrimp mac and cheese. She said the noodles were a little too soft. The garlic bread (aka buns) was very tasty. I had the cod and fries. The cod had a beer batter and with seasoned. The lemonade was lemony-tart my style. The tartar sauce was on point. Our waitress Diana was awesome. She was fun and funny. She made sure to keep checking on us.

This place was awful. Waitress wasn't very helpful and not attentive. Waitress was yelling at us including the manager who could have been handling it well but did not. The lobsters they have on Wednesdays were gross! Food wasn't that great. Would not recommend going there.

We used to come to red frog all the time to get their famous tenderloin sandwich and it was so so good back then. It's been years since I've been there, but I ordered it today and I was very disappointed in the taste and it wasn't as big as it used to be. So I probably won't be ordering from there again.

The food here is absolutely amazing! Do not let the cheekiness fool you! We love it here.

Ordered food over phone and had very patient and knowledgeable server Hannah I think her name was help me to decide my son picked up and brought me some of the most delicious crabcakes I've had in a long time highly recommend them

Considering there are not a lot of places to eat on this island, I cant complain too much. I would rate this place a 3.5 star if I could. I would not go out of my way to eat here, but it would work if you had limited options. We went here on a Saturday afternoon about 2 pm. There were a lot of people in the restaurant, but most were finishing up their meals. It took a few minutes before someone acknowledge we were there and to give us a table. We ultimately ended up having the bar tender as our server. She was a very pleasant person, but was not as attentive as we would have liked due to her being pulled to work the bar. Drink refills were not as often as we would have preferred. The main reason we chose this place was because they had Conch Fritters on the menu, but were sadly disappointed when they told us they had none. We ordered several different things from the menu, but opted to have it all come out at once instead of in courses. One person ordered the Turkey Bacon Wrap, but opted to put mayo on it instead of honey mustard. It was a basic turkey wrap, although the turkey itself tasted like it was a premium meat (like Boars Head). Over all basic but good tasting. Bang-Bang shrimp was fried to perfection, however the sauce was served on the side for some reason. It was plated over deep fried spinach which desegregated the moment you put it in your mouth; it was a very odd feeling and had no flavor. Mahi-Mahi fish tacos were very good. The fish was flakey and tender and paired very well with the Baja sauce. The seared Ahi Tuna wonton crisps were cooked perfectly. My only bad critique on this is that it had too much sesame oil for my liking, but otherwise a very good dish, and I would order again. Since the Chicken Bombers were advertised as having been created at this place, I figured we needed to try them for ourselves. Basically these are drumette lollipops that are slow roasted then deep fried and covered in sauce. We opted for the bourbon glaze which wasn't bad, however I wasn't impressed with the chicken itself. The chicken was falling off the bone, however they were over cooked and dry. This led me to believe it was left in the fryer too long. We topped off the meal with a basket of fries which were your standard fries. Nothing special, but were cooked well.

Service was apathetic. Food was eh. I get the feeling they are a bit jaded. Would be okay in a pinch.

Let's start with the good side. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Nothing else was good. Nothing. They were out of several items we tried to order but weren't told that when we were given menus. The best we could say was that the food was mediocre bar food. We left much of our entrees on the plates. This might be a good place for a beer and watch sports, but not good for a dinner out.

Good beer prices and queso, but our food (Alfredo and a buffalo wrap) was tasteless. The floor looks dirty although it is probably just in need of replacement and the bathrooms were beyond rusty and in need of attention too. Our server was nice, but we won't be going here again.
