Someday I would love to open a day care.

I saw other reviews for this daycare and felt compelled to write a review as several of the reviews were from people who haven't attended the daycare. We've been sending out child to Primrose for 2 years now and are very pleased with the quality of care received. Getting in: There is a length wait list because this is quite a popular school. I recommend signing up as soon as you find out you're expecting if this is the school you want to go to. We signed up at 6 months pregnant and had a year wait list. Our child was able to start in their Infant 2 class and is currently in their toddler 4 class. Fees: There's no way around this. It's expensive. This is a quality daycare. The facility is in immaculate condition. There are lots of toys in each of the classes. There are several great playground on site as well as a splashpad. Tuition includes 2 meals and 3 snacks daily. Parents are served breakfast and snack once a week. Staff: The staff are great at this location! The turnover is very low and most of the teachers that we've had in the last 2 years are still there. I think this speaks to the quality of the school, helps to justify and price, and the work environment for the staff.

I've always heard great things about primrose as a childcare worker. They add a little extra TLC to the children and the WORKERS.

So February of 2018, a student of mine was happy about the school. Said it was expensive but seems to be worth it. I started looking into Florida's vpk program. A free program. So I went and asked about the free vpk program they gave me all the information and had me pay a $175 registration fee to get on the list to maybe get in for the fall program. So my wife and I filled out all the paperwork and then was told to get all my son's shot records and finally asked to go online and get approved for the vpk voucher from the state. I did everything they asked. So July comes around and I was told he is in and I needed to come in for a presentation and I did. Even watching the presentation they had mentioned about fees and I brought up that I thought it was free. They retold me just the 8:30 to 11:30 was free, and I said ok well that is all I'm bringing him to anyways. Then was told he starts August 13th. I also by now have spent over $120 in school uniforms they told me to have. So everyday I drop him off at 8:30. Him crying that I'm leaving him and me picking him up at 11:30 him telling me he had a great time. This goes on for 8 days. Then I get an email stating I owe $370. I go to ask about this in the next morning and the front desk staffer tells me it is a mistake and they were going to get it corrected. So 11:30 I come to pick him up, and now they are telling me that I enrolled on a full time program. And of course I said no I didn't. They went on to show me a page I would have signed stating the prices and I would have had to agree to. I then asked can you show me that page where I signed it? They find the page in my paperwork and nothing was marked from them and nothing was signed by me. Then the two ladies up front you could tell that they made a mistake, but another lady comes in and said it didn't matter. We don't have a spot for you son if he is only doing the part time program. So i asked if you don't do a part time program why didn't you tell me this back in February when you took my money and signed me up? Now my four year old is being punished by having to leave and go start this process over somewhere else, if I can find somewhere else. Now that we are two weeks into the school year? I do like the teachers that my son was working with ms slade is great. I just want my son to have his spot in the class that he is in. I understand the business side of it too, yes the school can make more money with a full time student in Owen's spot. But you could have told me that 8 months ago, $175 deposit I shouldn't have paid, and about $120 in stupid uniforms I bought ago. so this morning I go in to get his copy of medical chart to take to the new school that I have to find and I go ahead and ask them for all the copies of all the information then I signed and the ones I did not sign and immediately I was rejected like no we cannot give you any of this paperwork.Very upset parent, Jeremy Moore

Our LO has been at Primrose for just over a year and we're glad that we switched! We previously had our daughter at Growing Room - San Pablo while on Primrose's waiting list and the change to Primrose has meant a world of difference! The teachers at Primrose seem to be more attentive, the administrators are more accommodating and communicative, the school policies and curriculum are well planned, and overall our daughter is in a much happier mood when we pick her up! They also take care of all her special dietary needs so we don't have to provide the school with food. My only knocks are that the sign-in/out system is a bit dated and that the teacher turn-over is a moderately high, but no more so than Growing Room.

I cannot even begin to express how much we love this school. They are super organized and impeccably clean. Their curriculum is structured and tailored to each student. Every adult in that building has showed my son just how much they love him. They are excellent with their communication to parents. Their menu is beyond impressive. They even treat parents to breakfast Wednesday mornings and a treat on Friday afternoons. If you are on the fence about whether or not to enroll your child here, let me tell you... you won't regret it. Seems like the bad reviews here are from parents that didn't actually enroll their children in the school.

I would first like to say that this facility is very clean and organized. The front-desk staff is very nice to work with. I saw many children greet the staff with pleasantries. For a daycare this facility is probably one of the better ones. However, I am reviewing this as a preschool. First, the only option is a full day (6-6), 5 days a week. For learning purposes at the preschool age level this seems excessive. I personally only brought my child from 8:30 to 3. This included a mandatory nap time, which resulted in several nights of horrible sleep at our house. Second, the class size was over 20 with only 2 teachers. That may be the acceptable by Florida law, but what kind of experience is your child going to have?I enrolled my 3-year old and will not be going back after only 3 days. We previously attended another out of state school and absolutely LOVED it. We were asked on a daily basis if today was school and could we please go visit the teacher. Day 1 at Primrose: ran off very excited to be there. Day 2: reluctance. Day 3: absolute terror, and a puffy face at pick-up time. Seemingly normal for children to have time to adjust, but given our positive history it did not add up to me.In having conversations she would say "I don't like my teachers" "I don't like school" "STOP CRYING" and "don't pull my hair" and she even slapped her own hand and said "don't do that." Whenever we get in the car now she asks in a trembling voice if she can "not go to school"My kind, positive, happy child picked up some very negative things in only 3 days time. I am not accusing anyone of anything, but this is not the environment or results I am looking for in a preschool. They did not question my withdrawal, only confirming that I had to pay an additional 2 weeks to cancel. Will cut my losses and run. We did an orientation at a dedicated preschool (not in combination with daycare) and the positive reactions and my happy child have returned. That speaks volumes to me as a parent.

Awesome place for your children, when they like it you know it's good. Mrs. Walker is awesome to deal with.

I called hoping to schedule a tour and learn more about the school. Unfortunately, I was told they would not accommodate my 12 month old's breastmilk (frozen/fresh milk bags). I was told only the infant rooms have fridges and they would NOT accomodate my sending in my own milk. If you can't make a basic accommodation like this, then I seriously doubt your integrity as a whole.

School Director was unhelpful and very rude. Also their tuition & registration costs are incredibly high compared to Goddard or Tutor Time, yet they there is no additional benefit over the other schools. Here is a link to their tuition costs since they do not like to post them on their website.http://postimg.org/image/ck22wc35d/
